I brought that antenna Big boy 800 SRS I am not disappointed 100 percent satisfaction OVER 90 channels my TV has in Chicago it show beat the hell out of cable paying from channels at a very high price I am not disappointed at all to see Cable gone and not coming back super clear channels and some unknown channels all well worth it and do not have to pay nothing so take it from me by one by one by one

… a strange thing happened while trying to find a good position for this unit. I got tired and just put it down in the attic, and then later on I turned on the television it was connected to, and almost all of my channels came in. I guess you just never know!

Metal roofs have become more and more common. How does it perform if you have a metal roof?
Metal roofs can badly affect attic or indoor TV antenna installations. The metal blocks out most of the signal. If you have a metal roof an outdoor TV antenna installation is best.
I can’t find this antenna with 5g blocking
I am very curious to see what’s inside of these. They seem to be close to six pounds! I’ve been watching for a used one. Anyone know if it is sealed, or will it dismantle?
@@joeprete7424 Dismantling it could break any weather seals it has. But yes, they are on the heavier side. Probably houses the UHF elements and some electronics.
@@NorthcoasterHobby wouldn’t be the first time for me! I haven’t handled one yet, so idk how much of the weight is the box itself, bit through my experiments with copper wire and copper tube (based on one of your videos) the copper tube performed better. However, doubling the copper tube and firmly joining them, showed no improvement. I’m trying to locate an inexpensive used 800sbs nearby, to experiment with. I think this is essentially the same as the “marathon plus” antenna. (although I do think that the “winegard elite” has very similar performance, at a fraction of the weight). I’ll keep you posted.
