I set this BMW warning melody as my ringtone on my phone. Now, when I'm in public and notifications come through, I immediately notice the startled faces of BMW owners.😂
🤣🤣🤣
Hello,
Where do you get this Ringtone downloaded?
Thank you...
PTSD My heart skipped a beat while watching a video

😂😂
So he upgraded everything except the cooling 😬
literally the mantra of most cars that are not track weapons on this channel, kind of like how most people upgrade the power of a car before the handling. not sure why everyone overlooks the cooling? maybe they just cant drive it to the limit, so never need to do the cooling. its only people like Misha that take all cars to that limit
@@whitemarmiteolder I get the more I’ve realized handling and cooling are the mods to get before you start pushing power. power is useless if the car needs to cool down/limp mode after 4 minutes of heavy use lol.
@@whitemarmiteSowas merkt man halt erst auf dem Track. im normalen Straßenverkehr bekommst du solche belastung niemals hin
This is in stark contrast to almost all of the posts on Bimmerpost forums where cars that are show cars or don't get driven hard at all have the CSF coolers catalog on them.
I understand the marketing behind it, but still.
@armite then the whole engine tune is made for what? to do a RR measure when it is 100% load for 8-10 seconds? wow
Another hot engine warning of a tuned car! Those who tune these engines doesn't understand that for each and every modification to the engine by the factory, engineers load the engine under full throttle test for hours and measure hundreds of parameters... Lack of expertise = Hot Engine or Engine Blow up 😎
yup this guys setup is ok for a street car where u do pulls and then ease of but for track nah
"engineers load the engine under full throttle test for hours " this would be true if the majority of stock cars engines and brakes wouldn't overheat on a track in 5 minutes especially on a warm summer day like this
@@ahhhh226stock power car will do lap after lap (save for pad upgrade)
I really don't get why so few "track" cars lack bonnet vents to help extract heat, especially since engine bays of new cars are so cramped and the heat gets trapped under stupid covers and such. Air gets pushed in the front air dam then has nowhere to go and you get a high pressure build up in the heat exchange zone. Extra cooling helps but airflow management is just as important. It can be integrated into the design smoothly also; it doesn't have to stick out like a sore thumb. Other than that, great mods on the car and it goes hard.
The Oil-Temperature gauge has an interesting range... up to 170°C :D
Mad Max Mode)))
even in my n52 f25 x3 it goes from 70-170C n 120 being the middle mark. They are designed to run hot for efficiency.

Even my M140i has the same range 😅
I can see how that Pop-Off Sound can get very Addicting
I’m curious what brand valve they are running
@@dylanpage4106it’s not a blow off valve. It’s called compressed surge. It’s what happens when you don’t have a blow off valve.
@@2seep mmm. No.
@@2seep this vehicle is equipped with a diverter valve. Companies like Turbosmart make aftermarket versions.
@@dylanpage4106Tial most likely
Way more than just an okay car and lap. Maybe Misha can convince the owner to come back after cooling and seats are sorted!🎉
Note to self if i ever give misha a car to drive upgrade cooling by 200%😂😂
The acceleration is nutty in the high speed range.
Bro lost 1/4 of a tank in 1 lap with yellow flags. it drinks fuel
It's got a small tank
it only got a 50l Fueltank, when you drive normal you can reach 350-400km
It's actually really good on fuell on the road but the tank is very small for the engine size and power, so on track using all the power the fuell goes really fast.
It's like the range of a Tesla performance model
Those that bash n55’s are smooth brains, such a linear power band they have
literally lol. N55 gets so much hate until theres a big turbo in the picture even though it can still make 450whp on stock turbo
@@colemansmcmillans9657only the EWG N55s can do that though
The n55 is a great example of something good being perceived as bad because something better exists.
Really disappointing to see yet another very capable and well built track weapon being hampered by tuners/builders not realising that part of a good build includes making sure that the car actually is capable of running at full pelt without blowing up.
In this case, there wasn't even that much "racing" done due to the two big yellows and barely making it halfway up the uphill section. Just don't understand why builders treat such an important part of the car as "that'll do i guess", rather than making sure that the car is capable of running the power they throw at it. And to be clear, the car was skirting 120C at foxhole already (with a yellow prior).
It's an essential part of a build - extracting 500+ horsepower can be done with basically any engine, the only question is "for how long", which is where a good builder can show off his craftsmanship. One thing to always keep in mind: the only reason this car didn't blow up was because computers prevented it to. It's just disappointing, since otherwise the car seemed absolutely amazing.
I do wonder who’s done the work because NVM won’t let you walk out the door without properly addressing cooling on such a build. I do cooling FIRST. People really get their ideas from the internet and mistake it for knowledge around track use. Shame that people are so fixated on dyno and draggy runs these days that they forget the car won’t be able to do anything twice or back to back when just going for power is the goal. I’m not putting it on this guy by the way, maybe he just doesn’t know and of course the tuner never told him, which is what I’m saying generally happens when anyone can open a tuning shop lift a few limitations copy and paste tables and increase boost.
In this case it was the engine/cooling temperature and not the oil temperature as usual 👍 130 degrees of oil is nothing unusual for this car with Misha pushing 😂
But you're right, unfortunately what's more is heating problems... Unfortunately...👍
@@joaobettencourt9163both connected though, with high oil temps it generally drags up water too, so a bigger oil cooler might resolve it. It's a shame these cars don't have a water temp, proper dumbing down by BMW
OG n55 M2 manual is my dream car 🙏🏻
Me too. Best looking BMW of all time with a fantastic motor and a manual trans? Yes please
I bought one two year ago in manual.. no regrets at all ! I
I’ve owned my manual og since new, had it 7 years now and still love it.
Dual oil coolers and a Mosselman thermostat.
Cooling mods are readily available aswell from csf or DO88, I personally have a larger oilcooler DO88 on my N55 M2. I'm looking to upgrade the secondairy coolant radiator aswell before going hybrid turbo and dorch HPFP.
owners says full track car, no cage, no bucket seats and worst of all no cooling improvements. smh
Yeah. Who is he kidding 😂😂😂😂
I've always found it insane that people would dump stupid anounts of money into a turbo kit, cams, or even a full engine rebuild without ever touching the cooling system.
Seeing the old m2 next to the new m2 makes you realize what a disaster the design of the new one is.
That looked really composed, well planted, managed bumps nicely, really liked the rotation, took the power well & it didn't block too much ambience. Wonder if it'd have handled a lower map.
Watching the fuel gauge visibly decrease was fun too...
Wow! Another car with a lot of power mods, but no cooling mods! :D
That's the issue with the N55. Cooling. It lacks cooling. S55 is superior for a track car.
And I thought driving in the mountains of Colorado for Audi was a dream job.. A bazillion laps there, PS2/GT4, long ago, has me muscle memory driving with you!! New here, so can't wait to watch many more. Hi Megi!! ONLY suggestion needed, DEFINITLY add a few flyby shots, especially with the slower cars keeping up with the good stuff, ie the 20v Turbo, sleepers etc. I have had a few that you would have enjoyed!!😎🤠
Incredible car. thanks for the video Misha. You are the Best
Good cam setup. Nice run!
i used to have the lci M2, but dayum that thing is quick the power delivery looks awesome
New video = Happines. Thank you Misha.
Great video as usual Misha. And thanks for putting the temps aswell :)
Lack of cooling just disappoints me. Upgrades everything minus cooling.
Yeh that's not a full track car mate.
Wow, insane power delivery!
This was a joy to watch. 👌🏿
Big up Swift Performance for the suspension setup 😎
you're spot on with the sound... love my n55
Even with 2 yellows .. Car lasted half of a lap
The top cooling on the S55 of the BMW M2C still plays a singnificant role
that's why i use motul 300v competition 5w40 on my tuned og m2. oil temps are stable and cools down alot faster than the 0w30 that bmw recommend.
you know what we need a misha POV cam like the F1 one
The sound of the turbine just speaks about the absence of a bow-off. This sound causes a surge - when the air flow with the throttle closed does not find an outlet and hits the turbine impeller.
UPD. This reduces the service life of the turbine, but in this way the motor response is better, due to the absence of pressure reduction in the intake manifold
N55 has a blow off valve.
Serious M2 ultimate turbo rush nicely set up car fair play looks very quick Mischa riding the big turbo woosh massive smiles👌
Woow that m2 is clean 🧼
“Full track car” and forgets 2 of the most important factors being Cooling and seats.
Deffo better off buying the older gen if your looking to track it. The new ones go through tyres faster, brake discs faster, pads faster and joints too. THats what happens when all your cars come close to 2 ton in weight. Just silly. Become very expensive to run and maintain. Thats the future though I guess.
another overpowered and under cooled car. ok in a stop light to stop light drag, but useless for prolonged spirited driving. this was actually a bummer, it was a beast while it was cool..
620 in my og m2 and no issues being on track, to be fair there have been a few on this channel and this is the only one to have a issue. Wonder who tuned it?
Maybe the intake-air temperatures (IAT) were very high which throws limp mode on the car. The fix for this would be a really beefy intercooler from Wagner Tuning.
It wasn't the oil temps, that's correct, will do 140-150 no problem. But with a upgrade turbo N55 the problem is the air to air IC, after a few hard kms on track it will overheat anyway no matter what.
Bravo as usual Misha, props from Ireland
Sounds like GT Car. What makes it more interesting was the Turbo Whistle 💥
Love a car you can drive and not fight.
Was i the only 1 watching the temp gauge more than the lap 🤦🏻♂️😂😂
The handling looks sharp.
Intercooler? Also, 450whp seems to be the N55 limit for aggressive track use with the best of cooling
Good video
Damn...Mischa another lap in this BEAST please❤🎉
Damn as he was catching the Porsche that would have been so sick, I feel his pain 😂
Yeah, too bad the car got hot, otherwise it would’ve been an amazing catching race:)
Full track but no cooling mods :D
0:38 and this looks way MOREEEEE awesome looking
Fully hectic but over heats 👍
The fuel light with a third of a tank left made me laugh 😅
The n55 is truly underrated it doesn't get the love it deserves, also kind of dumb going big turbo and not upgrading cooling.
Hopefully he made the crank hub upgrade 😮
dude i want to go to the nurburgring so bad it seems like heaven in there i just wanna get my license and fly to Germany just for the nurburging
It´s hot like an F16 AB and drinks fuel like one too.
Mosselman thermostat asap!! 🤯
11:34 that lanes is only for Left turn ;)
Love how you can literally see the fuel gauge fall like an egg timer lol...what we on there about 6mpg?
Love these videos, definitely need to go 🫡
🔥
MISHA Lives on the track
Heating faster then our induction cooker.
Why I see a Mini-Misha in the passenger position? 🤣
Otherwise, great car and ride again, thanks Misha!
I never understand why people mod their cars for XXXX hp but then refuse to spend the extra few bucks for actual cooling which will is more useful than going from 500 to 550 or 600hp
Mostly because they never push the car that hard to face overheats. Owner said it himself at the end of the video as well.
@@goc_yt maybe they are afraid to push it and can flex to their friends that they have X hp or they have no clue at all

M2 OG ❤
Nice one 😁
🎉 rear camera goodness 🎉
Wish Porsche was chasing hard 😃
'Full track car'😂😂😂😂
Love the sound of turbo surge, but hate to hear it. Too bad this build skipped on the cooling portion, such a great car otherwise
You should of put it in Sport+ , it opens the circuit , I've never had the oil more then 116 celsius, I have the Wagner ic
bro put a 30pin in a lightning port
Wow fast!
This car is a beast 😮🚀🚀 but doing 150mph uphill and still not catching the car in front is hilarious 😅 "is it a turbo S?" 😅😅
F87 was german hands on, yes! Still prefer than the G87 made in mexice....
N55's get hot all the time.
Would love to see ken sr take this car for a drive
OG M2 is significantly lighter but f87 M2 comp is 1655kg on a scale , g87 zf8 with carbon roof and buckets is 1710kg with full tank, only 55kg heavier .
No, according to factory claims it is around 150 kg difference. The weight of the M2 Comp you stated is with full tank and driver weight, whereas G87s >1700 kg are without 75 kg for the driver. DIN weights for manuals are as follows: M2 - 1495 kg, Comp 1550 kg, G87 1700 kg. Difference for auto/DCT is 25-30 kg extra.
@@RSnowin u wrong there a several videos where they actually weight both cars for example savagegees F87 M2 comp dct is 1655kg with full tank without passenger, and G87 is 1710kg with full tank zf8 and carbon roof and buckets without passenger.
@@karolmaciejewski340 M2 Comp are often heavier than claimed, because they were poorly equipped from the factory and therefore „standard“ extras add some weight in most of the real world cars. Anyhow, lightest DIN weights are the ones above.
@@RSnowin bmw was putting weigh without fuel in earlier years, now they have to put weight with full tank and all fluids that's why G87 is so much heavier in a media info. But trust me and put both cars on a scale , the actuall difference is much smaller.
@@karolmaciejewski340 no, simply not true. All measured by the same standard.
I want to drive with you one day ! That would be awesome :)
YESSS MISHA LOVES N55s 🤣❤️❤️
Looks much faster than that so called 500bhp Audi a few videos back
2:55 3:48 that is not blow-off valve sound, it's compressor reversion (air flowing backwards through the compressor) because the blow of valve is set too tight, and it will eventually damage the turbo
No it won't, its a myth
@@Cris-iw6su the reversion pressure waves put massive axial loading on the thrust bearing in the turbo which can lead to accelerated wear and ultimately blade contact with the housing
Yeah that's complete rubbish. Like the majority of the inline 3.0L BMW engines, the DV is recirculating and doesn't vent to atmosphere. Actuator is set automatically, no such thing as too tight lol.
@@jasonhowell3323 put a thin membrane ie some sort of material over the compressor inducer and you will see the reversion pressure waves moving in sync with the sound
What type of bov was on it sounds fantastic
I have a genuine question on your opinion for the vredestein hytrak tyres.
Awesome car... What was "wrong" with the engine sound in 6th gear ?
BONG ! you have 1/3 rd of a Tank left... range is now 48 miles if you continue driving like this ...
But WHAT A 48 miles they would be XD
I want that nurburgring t-shirt!
É um carro muito arisco precisa saber o que está fazendo é a receita da tragédia kkk parabéns pelo trabalho do Brasil!
The owner was like oh beamer (bummer)
Holy shit thats fast
Cupra formentor. Миша будет круг на ней? У тебя во двор стояла.
Stage 1000 without supporting mods. Definition of blueballing :)))
🚀🚀
Damn, I will sell the house. 😜😃
Certainly make sure I won't be buying one of them for track use! Drive moderately. 😂😂
just needs a massive oil cooler. I was thinking of getting one of these for that but the thing is they are too expensive to run.
Lol this only happened because of the mods, it won't happen on stock specs
Is there a allready a video _(like all? the years before) published, which shows/discusses the modifications/restaurations the Nordschleife track gets/got this winter 2023/24 downtime?
Would be nice if you someone could link it, because I did not find it °_o
