How long did it take
Watched the video and have just replaced the assembly on my sons series 1 BMW. All working .Every detail explained so well. Thank you. 👍
I have replaced the wiper relay and the wiper motor. I am still experiencing the wipers randomly stopping in the wrong position (different) each time. Would this video be the next logical part to replace to fix this issue? Thanks for your videos, they help me greatly.
My turn signal switch stopped working. When i press the hazard all signal lights come On, but not when I use the turn signal switch. It’s not a fuse issue if the hazards still work. I reset the battery and it started working again, but after driving for a bit the turn signal switch stopped working again. I can’t seem to understand what’s going on. Have you had this problem before?
Same problem here, did u find anything out by now ?
Having this issue today. No indicators or main beam , bit hazards work . On diagnosic it does not see any of them activated .not sure if switch or frm now?
@@mulletor123 still dont know what it is. Gonna try to unplug and reconnect the battery in the upcoming days, if that dont fix the issue i’ll need to replace the whole buttons and take off the steering wheel. Gonna cost about 5-600 euro
What the issue was that you replaced that part?
This video will help me a lot. I just purchased a 08 328i for 700 dollars and all 3 switches are broken off.
Good lord. It's been nine months since your comment, so I'm dying to know what else the dumb kid or junkie who was the previous owner did to that car before you got ahold of it. I can only imagine the can of worms that thing has been if you had to start by replacing the entire steering column stalk.
I’m replacing the whole assembly on my e91, I have got a second hand unit and it’s been sent with clock spring, is it best to use the one already on my car or use the one that’s come with second hand part?
Great video completed and Have DSC fault (not turning on when car starts up). May have bumped the spring and but not more than a cm.
Hey Nic, how did you manage to get rid of the DSC fault on display.
@@3iyaan I took the steering wheel off again and tried to align everything properly. Then it worked.
I must have been the slightest bit off when I put everything back together initially.... Line the arrows up with each other
@@nicrobb okay thanks! Will try for the same. It's been giving the DSC after start and no cruise and high beam while DSC fault is on.
@@3iyaan sounds similar to what I experienced. Good luck
@@3iyaan how did it go?
Thank you sir you're doing gods work 🎉
Do I’ve to recode it after replacing it? The problem I’ve is that the windshield wiper automatically turn on and won’t stop whenever I drive my car and now after I replaced it, it still have the same issue. Please help. Thank You.
Great video. How long did this take?
good job man
Does the replacement need to be coded after removal and re-fitted?
Ya

Great DIY! Are you guys in SoCal?
No sirve en inglés. Estamos en chile
You guys don't answer anybody's questions I've sent about 20 questions and not wanting reply
Agreed. Thank F#$k someone is experiencing it
They're not your fkn babysitter. They don't owe you anything. Be grateful for the video they made and if you have questions afterwards, find answers elsewhere. They've got multiple businesses to run, and families to take care of, you self absorbed dbag.
You know that’s what the existing hole is for? You didn’t have to make a new hole, if you stick a screwdriver straight up the existing hole and flick it to the side, it’ll pop the air bag off
He didn't make a new hole, you dingdong. If you had paid attention you would have heard him explain that there are two different steering wheel designs, depending whether or not you have the sport package. Clearly he was working on the kind that's different than yours, but again, had you been paying attention you would have heard him explain those holes are there from the factory, and put there explicitly for this purpose.
