Ive been looking for a portable mini or pedal amp and came across your channel. Actually ive been gearing towards Orange Tiny Terror, Vox MV50 AC or the Joyo Bantamp Meteor. How does this Harley Benton GPA100 sound in terms of loudness? All Im after is a pedal amp that I can use for rehearsals or small gigs that can keep up with the band, especially drums. Thanks in advance!
Hey! I’ve just returned from a short 5 day run of gigs around the UK and took a HX Stomp and the GPA. Our drummer is very loud and it had no problem keeping up. I was very surprised! I’d highly recommend, especially if you’re using a modeller.
Thanks! This was the answer i was looking for.... I ordered it yesterday without thinking if it could be loud enough... I will run it with the HX Stomp too.... Can't wait to try it... Are you using special settings ? Thanks a lot!
@Grzegorz Piwowarczyk hi! I would Love to give you a feedback.... right now I'm not playing live ...but in January I'm going to start some loud rehearsals!!!
Does anyone know - when using this with a preamp pedal….. is it better to use this power amp with the EQ completely flat, then use the EQ from the preamp, or dial in the EQ on the power amp, then dial in the EQ again on the preamp ? Cheers ✌️👌🇬🇧
I would definitely start off with the power amp EQ flat. Then get as close as you can with your preamp controls, and use the power amp EQ for some final tweaks or when playing in a different room to compensate for any differences. Hope that helps!
To be honest, I haven’t tried. But I don’t think there would be enough power or headroom for those lower frequencies to compete with a drummer. Home use/low volume use would be 100% fine I think.
Fantastic channel.
I feel like this really is the way to go, setup wise.
Great review, keep em coming.
Thanks so much!

Cool !!! It's your cabinet set at 4 or 8 ohms for live gigs? Thnx....
What settings did you use for the placater? Sounds phenomenal 🤙🏻
Thanks!! I think it's the stock settings, with the C45 on, HBE on and that's it! Also Stupor OD in front, Drive 0.0, Tone 5.0 and Level 10.0
Is output recognize 16 ohm impedancy too? What is power of this amp, if I connect 16 ohm cabinet?
Can i use this in my laney speaker cabinet 4x12 8ohm 200watts??
No, Laneys are explicitly excluded 🙂
Hi, and what experience in using hb gpa 100 in gig? I wonder if it's loud at a concert? or more suitable for home use than live concerts :)

Really interested in this how loud is it live ? ! Is it only 40w at 8ohms ?
Loud for gigs ?
Thanks for the comment. I’ve found that it is loud enough for live use. It’s 100 watts at 8ohms. 190 watts at 4ohms.
did you try it at 16 ohm?
Can i use this in my laney 4x12 speaker cabinet, 8ohm, (200watts)??
@@anthonyravida9652 Why don´t you buy one and try it??
Would you plug this hb gpa100 + only a cabinet?
Does this run on 220 power
Can you use this for bass?

Is good, but is 220 volts.. in some countries we use 110 volts.. 😔
Yea for real, in America it’s 110 volt
