Voices in his head told him to hurt himself, but when he took his meds he said they were almost quiet. We need to get help for mentally ill people so innocent people dont die. Theres no doubt that we need mental health reform and while alot of serial killers are obviously physiologically flawed, unfortunately when crimes of this magnitude are committed it leaves victims families in a state of crisis and they deserve to see the perpetrator imprisoned. It's really, really sad about how mental health is not taken seriously sometimes. I pray for the victims as well. This guy was seriously suffering mentally and I wish he was able to get help prior to his killing spree because the outcome could have been totally different. I love how are you covered mental health of the end of this video I myself was incarcerated in Texas department of corrections for two years and I’ve seen multiple people have psychotic breaks I understand these people are violent psychotics but I wish the system would try to give them a little more mental health treatment inside. Because not only is it they become a danger to themselves they become endangered to other inmates I know being incarcerated is violent and in It’s self but the states to do more for mental health

He never was physically or even verbally abusive to me he was very out of it like spaced out a lot lot and when he talked it never made sense and he was in gifted programs all through school played sports really well and just an all around talent..He was gone is the best word I can describe it he also felt like it was the government trying to take his throat out or something he said. Now he had normal moments that’s when he said his friend drugged him but then it’s back to the governments antics .. smh

In all reality, yes mental health is important but you can only help those that want to help themselves in majority of cases.. His family had him evaluated and drs even prescribed him meds but he wasnt willing to take them.

The scariest thing about this is the randomness
Back in September 2000 I was looking for a dime bag of weed. I was from NY and living in PA. At that time I didn't know what an 8th was, I just wasn't paying that much for a bag. The Bartender gave me a plug but told me the guy was shady. Dude showed up with a pre rolled blunt and that's all she wrote. I found out 4 months later on a Psych ward in Bellevue Hospital after a toxicology test that I still had large amounts of PCP in my urine. I never did anything more than weed and alcohol.
I spent the next 3 months in Bellevue, then shipped to Rockland state Psychiatric Hospital for 11 months trying to repair my mind. Spent 3 years in an Outpatient MICA facility. And another 7 years off and on in Psych Wards.
My psychiatrist told me that I would have to strengthen my mind if I wanted to be discharged from a state Psych center. In order for my releases I needed a Judge to sign off because State Psychiatric Hospitals automatically make you an Award of the state.
Once I rebuilt my brain, my paranoia was still off the charts. In the Day time I was great, but at night the shapes in the shadows would mess with me. I ended up studying Budo just in case I had to defend myself. Little did I know that learning how to meditate helped me calm my thoughts.
Being involuntarily slipped drugs is real. This happened when I was 26. Today I am 47 and after 21 years I'm still not the same person I was. 😔
I'm 42 my little brother had a friend get messed up that way. Sounds like a rough path. Be proud of your progress though
