My kids are now 33, 34, 36.
They were born so close together that it felt like I was up to my armpits in babies, diapers, and bottles forever.
And then, one day, they were all potty trained.
Time REALLY started flying then and it hasn't stopped.
Those first 4 years were so full! We had fun from sun up until the last baby fell asleep.
I knew it wouldn't last forever and that I'd soon be able to get a bit more sleep.
I played and played and had so many wonderful pictures of that time with my girls.
They are my dearest friends now, too.
Kaylee and Jordan are doing the right things.
Sadie is getting the opportunity to be with both parents and learn from each of them.
Her imagination is out of this world!
What a wonderful life she's getting to live. ❤❤❤
@@alicecain4851 My daughter is 41 and I have to make appointments to see her. I am lucky to see her twice a year. I have all my memories of when she was young and our time together. She was just like Sadie and now she is so serious, but in a good way. She just received a proclamation seat from the mayor of Tempe Az. Shes a busy girl, but we have our memories.
I had that very saying on my wall when my children were small. It is so true. Never apologize for spending time with your daughter. She will benefit, and will bless you when she is a grown up! I treasure those memories myself of my kids when they were small, and so time demanding. Now, I am enjoying my children's children, and marvel at what great parents they are to their kids, and I am blessed all over again!
Been watching your videos since you were travelling around in your van and I have never commented before on a video but had to today. One of my favorite videos! Such a beautiful deck and such a beautiful heartfelt letter to an amazing friend.
We made a few toys for our goats. Goat teeter totter and a goat tippy platform that is basically a 3/4 piece of plywood cut in a large circle with a 6 inch post in the center. You could always just use tree rounds and stack them in a pyramid.
We had Nigerian dwarf goats until a few weeks ago when I had to sell due to health issues. We had two big wooden spools with a long board like a bridge from one to the other. It was so much fun watching them run, jump up, run across and jump off the other side (with a twist in midair). They also had pallets to climb on. That was the absolute best thing about having goats! They are hilarious if they have things to climb and play on! I miss watching them out my window!

I've told my husband 1000 times, I LOVE my back porch and would eat out there every night bc it is my happy place. There is just something about sitting outside in nature. Loved your quote about parenting. Also, parents are the gardeners not the construction crew. We don't take an infant and build them into what we want. Babies are seeds that we nurture and provide the best conditions to grow in and we watch and see what they turn into.
I am imagining the door panels as a base for a playhouse-castle/play structure for Sadie. With climbing ropes/Rock climb panel, a ladder or spiral staircase to a princess tower on top with a slide coming down. Table and chairs for tea parties and crafting in the base playhouse. Some gingerbread planter boxes. And it could double as a dry structure for the dogs in rainy season.
Your family is growing. Its not just you 3, its the extended family that makes life and memories. Thank you Arturo, the jungle couple and the wonderful helpers that have been with you guys so long. Your videos are truly inspiring and unforgettable.

About painted toenails: I was at a wedding once and part of their ceremony was that they washed each other’s feet as a sign of serving each other in love. When the groom removed his socks, there were his painted toenails in orange and brown, alternately. It was the colours of his favourite basketball team. So funny!
When my sister and I were teenagers, my dad went into the hospital for surgery. We painted his toes bright red when he was recovering. His nurse thought it was so humorous and special that he just let us do it that she had all the nurses on the floor stopping by to see his toes and laughing over the patient with the bright red toes. Be proud of your pink toes and don’t care who sees them. It is the sign of a great dad.
When my dad passed a few years back, at the viewing one my sister painted his pinky finger nail..... Dad would've loved it... Five daughters, he was trully a girl daddy~ RIP ....

I was hoping to meet Kaylee and Jordon in Guatemala back in 2019. These kids were so inspirational to me as a young couple making their way by blazing their own path. I got a late start but its a strong one as I had available, great channels like this one to inspire me. And their parenting of Sadie is unmatched. Girl, yes. A toddler is a lot. I have a 20 year old, 2 year old and a 5 year old. Housework is a lot. I have timeout days with cleaning. And yes, they want to pay all the time. There dad is very handy also and is amazing to see him fix things.
Jordan, and Kaylee, your priorities are spot on! Your house will always be there. Your daughter is forever blossoming, sometimes minute by minute. You’ve invested everything available in Sadie. All the precious memories you make each day with Sadie, is contributing to the outcome for a well rounded, happy, caring, compassionate and loving person! I second the motion stated by the previous commentor. Sadie is a joy to watch. We've all seen her grow from infant to toddler to school age, right along with you guys. I enjoyed hearing you say how much time and energy she devotes to playing. As an elementary teacher of 30 years, I can tell you that you're both giving her everything she needs to become a happy, healthy young lady. And I'm guessing you're home schooling her which is great. I'm the dad of five home schooled children who have all grown up to lead very successful lives. As I've said to hundreds of parents over the years, I don't know what you're doing at home, but keep on doing it! Your loving environment will give her the confidence to explore her world and ask a million questions that you help her negotiate as she grows.
And I can't wait until we see you descending those broad stairs in your wedding gown. Sadie will have flowers in her hair. Will the groom wear a suit? And Arturo... It's all so exciting. You're gonna have thousands of people shedding tears of joy.

Sadie is so ahead of her status of learning, she practically talks in sentences, that's amazing to me. She learns things very well, I'm sure she'll learn more Spanish gradually.

Jordan, when I was a carpenter building stairs, and making a complex cut on expensive material. I would just cut up a cheap 2 x 4 and make sure it fitted perfect and use that for a pattern! then cut all the other expensive materials to that.

You could repurpose those doors to build a play house for Sadie. Or use those 2 panels as part of a fence to enclose an area for a play area with the trampoline inside it. Maybe angle some wood above the top of them to create a shady or umbrella effect overhang with benches for sitting. Or even an attached folding table and sitting area for tea time play as part of the fence for some imagination creation. Think as a child would and you could come up with at least a dozen ideas. Hang some rectangular pots on the inside for flowers, a mirror, chalk board, etc ❤
