Si amigo de los king...Freddie es mi rey del blues...es sublime y profundo Freddie...es mi rey del blues...con el y algunos pocos sigo escuchando el blues
This is the Man and the band that just blew the roof off. The intensity. Freddie just oozed talent and soul. Blow the roof off and walk off like yeah thats normal for us.
For me Freddie is the man! But let's not forget too what a stellar band he had and the incredible dynamic he had with them. The way they worked together was just out of this world. Blues performances at the very highest level. It doesn't get any better than this.
I bought an LP years ago. I don't know why, the treble was accentuated, the bass said goodbye. Well, so what? I wouldn't trade this record for anything. Freddie, you were the man.
The king of the blues. Got better and better and better and then died. Imagine if he had been alive in the late 80s for the blues resurgence when people like BB and John Lee, Albert Collins etc became popular again.
He did have something of a resurgence at the time of this recording. He was on the cover of a UK guitar magazine around this time so not entirely under the radar.
@@claymor8241 “on the cover of a uk guitar magazine” is hardly a resurgence. John Lee Hooker was playing large arenas as a main act and stadiums as a supporting act in the 80s.
sweet baby, jesus. you know he was the best of those three kings. and that ain't no hate. but gimme freddie with or without the cocaine, some food preferably from south of the maxon-dixon line and some sweet tea. an unreasonably attractive woman in her 30s is probably too much to ask for, so i'll limit it at that. i also realize that tomorrow i'm going to go have to trade in at least two guitars for a les paul with 90s, dammit. no; i won't sound him more like him to YOU. but i'll sound more like him to ME. peace and love, you good people who listen to this.
Of all of the Kings, Albert, BB, Freddy, this guy reigns above. With respect.
