    Unfortunately, it's not always a question of commitment, but of financial resources. My commitment is there with all my heart, but I had to start on the basic level. It's nontheless a great joy every time I have the possibility to level up another thing over the years. It's part of my journey with aqascaping, and I love that, too. Every step on the way towards the perfect high level setup is fun. Thanks for showing me the perfect goal to achieve ❤😂

      Yeah, we always suggest to start small too, and with time you can invest into a CO2 system, then you can use that on a bigger tank later, etc.

    Comme toujours, c'est parfait. Comme vous le dites rien n'est gravé dans le marbre, personnellement je ne suis pas en aquascaping mais le simple ajout de co2 me permets d'avoir de belles plantes rouges et un ensemble bien équilibré qui donne un peu de travail et beaucoup de plaisir. Encore merci de tous vos renseignements, je me suis abonné parce que je pense que ce serait dommage de ne pas profiter de votre expérience.

    Tommy, thank you for this video. There was a lot of info I appreciated, but no. one for me is the amount of plants you recommend, 17:51
    I've been watching aquascaping videos for months now, this is the first time anyone has defined the min. 6-8 plant rule. Most scapers use many more pots when creating content, so it gets intimidating when we start multiplying € after €. By the end we realize just how much we would need in order to do something similar. Thanks for the help

    The lighting thing is true. I had a C301 above my 30liter Dennerle tank. Now I am building a 60p and bought a WRGB2 Pro. The difference in colors is incredible, and not to mention the intensity is crazy, it really makes the colors pop.

      @Christoph-Oliver Рік тому

      @@ornn6177 It stands for Pool. The number always is the length in cm. A 60-P measures 60 cm x 30 cm x 36 cm.

    As someone who is in this hobby for close to 20 years these are very solid advices to start aquascape journey. And ofc as you gain experience you can begin to experiment, for instance I have 30 liter no filter aquarium with capped aquasoil and the plants are healthy and growing really good (not only low demanding ones).
    I wish that I saw this video when I was starting cause I got 150cm aquarium and I believe that is bit to much for first time but I'm still here so...

      Oase took a big part of the market when they entered the aquarium hobby
      I got both Eheims and Oases and i prefer the Oases now.
      Dont care for wifi at all
      And eheims are build less bulletproof as they once where.
      Still got a basket in my shed from an old eheim filter with screws in it
      The plastic is 2 times thicker as the baskets in my new professional 3 filters.
      And the prefilter of the oase is more convenient as the eheim version.
      Still love eheim but they really should reconsider.

    Currently I don't have any high-tech tank, but I plan to have at least one someday again. There's the issue with balancing fertilizers, light and CO_2, more intense maintenance (trimming, always checking the CO_2 set as there's bunch of components that could fail). But like Tommy said, it's hard to grow a real carpet without CO_2 injections. There are some options to do that (eg. Hemianthus (?) Monte Carlo planted densely), but in hi-tech plants grow more densely, lush... to compare it to 18th century castle gardens, low-tech would be a jungle, a forest or an English-style garden while the high-tech would be French-style garden (Versailles).
    I actually had a 12l nanotank with trimmed Eleachoris "Mini" carpet, piece of wood and trimmed rounded "bush" from "Pearl weed" (Micrathemum Micrathemoides). All growing with bio CO_2 from yeast + sugar solution. Hygrophila Corymbosa Compacta grew best in similar tank.

    • @GreenAquaShop
      @GreenAquaShop  Рік тому

      Actually, surprisingly, the CO2 system parts rarely fail, if they are good quality. At least compared to other components. Good luck with your tank! Cheers.

    In Australia, Chihiros lights are very hard to come by and are ridiculously expensive. you can find a chihiros wrgb 2 pro (45cm) for 460 dollars, it is a 59W light. you can also find chihiros b series (45cm) for only 99 dollars, that's a 29W light with wrgb leds, you can dim it but you can't adjust the colours. So what if I just get 2 of the b series lights for my high light tank? gives me almost 60W of dimmable light

    • @GreenAquaShop
      @GreenAquaShop  Рік тому +1

      Not really. The only test I recommend is TDS meter so you can control your water hardness after changing water with reverse osmosis... Other than that you should be fine. If you use tap water, you should test for nitrate, phosphate, silicates and hardness and KH so that you know what you're getting and how to dose.

    Mit der biologischen Belastung stimmt nicht! Eine hohe Belastung entsteht nur wenn zuviele Fische und zuviel gefüttert wird. Die Pflanzen entziehen dem Wasser Nährstoffe, im Bodengrund sind Bakterien, die ebenfalls bei der Filterung helfen. Bei zu großer Filterung werden die gesamten nützlichen Nährstoffe ausgefiltert! Es kann kein vernünftiges Klima im Aquarium entstehen! Darum muss zuviel nachgeholfen werden mit Spurenelemente, Dünger ect. ect.

    I find the Expensive LED lights to be an obvious RIPOFF. Because I reckon any led tank light will do just fine BUT it must have the ability to add a timer and adjust the luminosity WHICH CAN BE EASILY done by buying a cheap Light / Timer controller (its about 17.50 NZD). However If you want to have a FULL control with Timing, you could always just buy a Smart Plug Outlet which can be controllable through Smart Life APP. Its very smart, youll have the ability to set the Light to be on / off for how long its gonna be and which Days you want this to repeat on. If you want daily, you could just select every day and it will AUTOMATICALLY turn the light based upon the time you adjusted it on, and it turns off when the times finished. And MORE FEATURES that I couldnt be bothered listing. Its very handy indeed.
    This option is much much cheaper than buying a 300NZD light. All that only cost me roughly around 65 New Zealand dollars, which saved me 235Bucks with the same or even more flexibility.
