Great video. Love the background history. Glad he overcame his addiction and embraced golf. So 😊 happy he has his family movies and golf ⛳. Still working. 😊😊
"Get those monkeyfied snakes off this Monday only plane!" Even the delivery of the sanitised TV version is as epic as the cinema version. Thank you Samuel for many decades worth of great characters and movies.
great bio. I love his wife too. just a side note: Laurence Fishburne has a little house in the French Quarter around the corner from me. it's across from a little grocery called Matassa's. I haven't seen him lately, and I heard he may've sold it during the pandemic. anyway, he is much beloved in the Quarter and used to have a crotch-rocket style motorcycle that he kept in his courtyard. when he would come in for a weekend or a few days, he would dress down and sit on his stoop and talk to anyone that came by; street people, tourists, locals, etc... sometimes people didn't even recognize him in his faded jeans and flannel shirt over an undershirt. once a group of teens recognized him when I was shopping in Matassa's. they were looking at him through the store window and talking excitedly. they turned to me and asked me if that was Mr. Fishburne. I said yes but he didn't like to be mobbed while he was on his private time. they didn't listen and ran across the street yelling, "Mr. Fishburne can I have a selfie with you?" as I was leaving and heading down the street to my house, I overheard him telling them no. he said if they had approached him with respect and asked politely, he would have. then he went on to give them a lesson in how to be respectful and they walked away in awe. he was firm, but not unkind. I loved it!! another time he was there, he was with a man. I didn't read too much into this, it's his business but I was impressed with how the locals just let him be whoever he wanted to be. there were many other interesting things like, once I was shopping when he came in and after exchanging pleasantries, I noticed he was rubbing his eye. what's wrong I said. he leaned over and used his fingers to spread his eye open and said can you see anything in my eye? lol, just a regular guy when he's there. but I will never forget how he talked to that group of young black people with such interest and respect. I don't really like mentioning that the kids were black, but I felt it was important to the story and mattered to him.
I am always proud of all my black American actors and what you are doing, so keep going. You are number one, and others will always follow you in the future of what you do, Jah blessing.
Talented and amazing. Cool Samuel. Should have gotten an Oscar for a time to kill. Love most of his movies. Pulp fiction shines. Jules. Not a marvel fan. One of my favorites inglorious bastards. And the negotiator. Jackson is outstanding amazing and inspiring. Fabulous actor. 😊😊
Congrats to Mr. Jackson... I don't think, in the history of hollywood, has an actor gotten this much juice out of playing the same character in every movie role as Mr. Jackson has... well done.
@@curtisthomas2670 I agree with Morgan Freeman (The Magical Negro) and Adam Sandler (Jerry Lewis Knock off)... But Denzel? Denzel is a top ten actor of all time. Denzel has shown limitless range from "Malcom X" to "Book of Eli" to "Roman J. Israel, Esq." Nicholas Cage is one of the most eccentric actors in movie history and a way better actor than Mr. Jackson. Watch "Vampire's Kiss" "Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans" and "Adaption" Not a fan of John Cusak, but he was really good in "Being John Malkovich." IMO Mr. Jackson found his niche in Pulp Fiction has never strayed far from the lazy formula of the "Angry Seething Black Man." A better list would be Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson right behind Mr. Jackson.
I've watched Django Unchained a few times now. So many great performances in that movie. But every time I see him Mr. Jackson just blows me away. That Mother Fucker CAN ACT.
Samuel Jackson is one of those artists that when I see his name I'm going to watch whatever he's in. God Bless you Samuel. Please give me a break with the profanity. Love always a fan ❤️
On SNL ( Sat Night Live) he joked that he is not Lawrence Fishburne and Denzel. On " Extras" TV episode he was mistaken by an actor for being Fishburne. First time I saw his performance was in the 3rd" Die Hard" film. There are so many more great performances
Yes, Samuel L Jackson..for overcoming his stammer, I knew few people ( friends) who suffered for having a stammer, people thought they were shy and quite..
His best roles as far as acting & as far as Oscar worthy are definitely : 1# Pulp Fiction 2# Django Unchained 3# One Eight Seven 4# A Time To Kill 5# Black Snake Moan!!!!! 6# The Hateful Ei8ht Btw .. speaking of actor Paul Calderon , hes a great actor & deserved way more important roles over the years, he was great in King Of New York & Pulp Fiction & Four Rooms & The Last Castle & especially in Boardwalk Empire!!!!!
Still missing this man ,I know I'm not the only one, jealous people can do horrible things, but can never replace his brilliance, that why they still talk about him RIP to his blessings ❤🎉🎉🎉
My favorite actor Samuel Jackson, of all times. I salute 🫡 👏🏿 you. Would love to meet you, but as I'm based in the UK, so unlikely that would happen 😢 You were my hero growing up. Watching 👀 a lot of your film. 🙏🏾💯❤️
WHAT!!!! NO FORMULA 51!!! What the heck!!! At the end, he walks off BUT NAKED with a golf club & Bunns of Steel!!! My favorite all time scene EVER!!!!!!!!!😮😅!
Good made do Crhistan slater im a huge movie fan born 1980 and have watched movies since 86 almost Daily and some weeks 2-3 a day 😊just love movie s and my favorite is True romance best movie ever and many who loves movies should see this one it have a interesting story how it got made and slater made at least five great movies so do him pleace and thanks for the Chanel 👍🏻
Mr. Jackson is one of the best actors out there. When reading his bio, I’m reminded of the song by Mandisa; “Overcomer”. Another video, he talks about how golf saved him! My favorite movies are “ Coach Carter “ and A Time To Kill”. He really gets into whatever character he portrays.
Deep blue sea he got eaten alive... I was sitting in the theater and I couldn't believe that Samuel was fed to the shark. I love Samuel Jackson movies and I will buy everyone I see on DVD
Interesting and entertaining...I really enjoyed but was a bit disappointed that one of my favorite Samuel Jackson's film, Long kiss good night (hope that title is correct) was not mentioned.
I realize due to the volume of Mr. Jackson’s work one could expect that some works wound be excluded. However, I would have thought that Mr. Jackson’s narration of the award winning documentary “I Am Not Your Negro” would not have been one. Just saying.
Fun fact: He once said in an interview if he watches the movies he played in, because most actors actually don't like to see their own playing. He said yes because all these movies he was in are great to watch. He is such a down to earth man, like us average people! Same for Ewan Mc Gregor using the force on public slide doors to entertain himself.
Wow it just hit me. I'm producing a movie that originally had Donald Glover and his father Danny Glover pencil in however that will not be possible. And it seems to me if I can get Samuel L Jackson .to co-star it will be a perfect fit. Searching For the Moon
Have to thanks to Samuel Jackson and many other s great actors, directors and awesome movies who have been there in my life in good days and in bad times thanks s for all great movies ✌🏻But i mostly fan of movies from i grew up and up to my 30s born 1980 so i believe the best movies have been made if i gotta write a top ten or 50 movies made only to after 2010 i belive mostly from 90s and early 2000 but thats just my opinion Greetings CZ 75 Shadow ✌🏻hope they never stop making great movies with great actors not just computer movie s hey dont get me wrong some good there to but the greatest was pure acting in my opinion ✌🏻
I feel the thing that tells me the most about an actor is being married to the same woman for a long time. Paul Newman is another who excelled in this category. Samuel Jackson is a great actor-"mother fucker!".
I always loved Sam. He was like a big brother to me. I went to East 5th Street School and Riverside High. Sam was 4 grades ahead of me. I went by middle name as Levi Brown. Many people at school thought Sam was my big brother so that kept the bullies at bay. I graduated from Riverside too but in 1970. Sam is my favorite actor and. I try to watch all movies he has a role in. We love you homie. Levi B.
A bit full of himself, but nonetheless, a great actor. No doubt he's had to deal with many internal issues to keep himself upright. This is an admirable quality, that's for sure!
Whatever happened to the entertainment reporter who accidentally mistook Jackson for Laurence Fishburne? I remember that Jackson immediately humiliated the reporter and insinuated he was racist.
Only a chosen one can become a sponsor of the channel, try it❤→ bit.ly/3QzFSos
Humble! Talented! Underrated! "The Coolest"! A Natural! I love everything about Samuel 💯...Thank you very much for highlighting the great black man 🌟
He's such a talented and gifted actor. My favorite scenes with him are in Pulp Fiction but there are so many others that are just so amazing!
I didn't hear "Long Kiss Goodnight " mentioned.... my favorite and I believe SLJ's favorite too! Thanks for this one!

Well done I am a new subscriber 👍🏿

Congrats to Mr. Jackson... I don't think, in the history of hollywood, has an actor gotten this much juice out of playing the same character in every movie role as Mr. Jackson has... well done.
Morgan Freeman, Denzel Washington, Nicholas Cage, Adam Sandler, Adam Sandler, John Cusack basically just play themselves in most of their roles

Hope to see more of them,be blessed.

small nitpick: french horn and trumpet are actually brass instruments

If raw material was a Person... He just disappears into the characters he potrays... ❤💐 the Best
I believe what started him getting the better roles was a long kiss Good night, which is still my favorite film that he’s been in
TUPAC in Star Wars...man i would love to have seen how that played out.

Aunt a put him on the right path.
Do denzel Washington, Chris Evans, Tony Leung, Donnie Yen
Clearly you are a person where absolutely nothing is enough. How sad for you.
U just named the most random list ever😂
Whatever happened to the entertainment reporter who accidentally mistook Jackson for Laurence Fishburne? I remember that Jackson immediately humiliated the reporter and insinuated he was racist.
