I cant wait for the Helms Deep build. Been a dream of mine since i saw it in the Two Towers rule book. You're keeping this game alive Zorp! Beautiful models from back in the magazine days
Love the Ork terrain idea on the imperial buildings, what a great way to make a mega board! You defo need to get on those ringwraiths this year man! 9 unique fell beasts will look so good!
It would have been funny to see an oops all trolls army. All those fellbeasts are going to look cool! Can't wait to see all the amazing things you'll do in NZ! Will there be a tour of your new studio coming soon? Wish you the best Latchy, hopefully those paints don't burst!!
What a blast from the past. I have two of those old Helms Deeps still in box and a Forgeworld Amun Sul. Somewhere ive also got their Balins Tomb base MIB, ive got a second one in my display case with my fellowship on it
Goodness so many awesome models and scenery! You have so many plans for the future I just can't wait to see. Been a while since we seen you without a beard. Good luck on your travel to NZ!
That event you mentioned at the end sounds very cool. Beasts of War used to do something similar (not sure if they still do). Always wanted to take part in an event like that.
3:30 It brings a tear to my eye when someone correctly pronounces my name lol. Just wanted to drop a comment to say that the guys at 40kOnline do appreciate the shoutout --- GML
we're gonna stick with you through this move, i cant wait for all the awesomenes and man oh man does your collection make my mouth water, just so many old beautiful metal sculpts ... i need to see it, i need to see the boards, gemaplays and conversions, i need to see EVERYTHING!
I loved my miniatures of the Lord of the Rings back in the early 2000s. I remember very good when the first Issues of LotR came out and it hooked me in spot. My Grandpa was creating oilpaintings and died a few years before and sharing kind of the same hobby felt quite good as a teen. These were my first models and I worked in my neighborhood for the elders to get enough money so I could buy two or three issues of the same kind to collect as much colours and brushes as I could. this hobby helped me much too when my mother died. It was kind of escapeism back than but far better than playing computergames or something like that. Unfortunately, three years ago I needed to sell my miniatures because I left my part of country. I have still five left, but all the other 300 are gone forever now. Your video reminded me of my old LotR hobby and all of its good aspects. thank you for that.
THAT SEWER BOARD WAS YOU!? i remember seeing those pictures and tutorials over a decade ago. after seeing it i wanted to do that build but didn't have the tools to cut that much pvc pipe,
"What's this? A Lachie, caught without his beard?" :) I love these videos with all the old goodies, and man 3rd edition Space Hulk, best board game game ever, and I forgot how cool those Termies looked!
I would like 500 Knights of Dol Amroth and 1200 Riders of Rohan to charge the armies of Isengard. But to assemble and paint them would kill me. But it's nice to dream about it.
"Or is my pile of shame going to get even bigger?" The Pile is eternal, unshrinking. No contraction, only expansion. The Pile will be there at the end, bloated and alone beneath a skyful of murdered stars.
Oh Boy, "And then I found a box I did not know I still had", Mate that is a line that, as a gamer since 1978 is oh, so relatable🤣😂🤣😂👍. Thank you, keeping being you and best wishes for NZ
"Using plastic crack as a tax writeoff" oof yeah feel that since I opened my hobby shop a couple years ago. The piles of plastic just keep growing Cant wait to have you here in NZ mate, welcome aboard! if youre ever in South Auckland poke your head into the Kunning Kobold! Wed love to have you in for a game, a painting session or just a chin wag
Awesome video as always Lauchy, can’t wait for everything you have in-store, also for the streams to return! Definitely interested to get to Arda-Unleashed, would be amazing👌🇦🇺
Super stoked to see a Space Hulk video or series in the future! I love those minis and I'm obsessed with one day owning a copy myself! Best terminators and genestealers ever produced even today.
Oh @ZorpaZorp you lucky lucky man! I just got back into the hobby after 20 year absence. I’ve been hunting for those KT Chalnath ruins down here in Melbourne for ages. I may have started drooling at my screen when I saw them. If you plan on getting rid of them, let me know mate!
i like you and your projects are definitely the biggest and most awesome on youtube. but for a little constructive criticism, since you often mention how you look at the statistics: i missed a few vids in the last months because it got a little much with the exaggerations in recent time. we know youre the best, you know it, no need to mention it constantly :D also i didnt watch the batreps as i just enjoy the crafting side. after watching this one, you probably already recognized it since you didnt do it in this one.
Awesome video. Seems like you know your stuff when it comes to miniatures. I’m really wanting to get into the world of Warhammer 40k but it’s so overwhelming. I have no idea where to start. Any suggestions? What should I buy first?
Of course it'll get bigger! Also sad times that you keep saying some of your better videos aren't doing so well. Seems odd to me! The ones you mention are the ones I've enjoyed most recently!
hehehehehe, to be honest when I shot this it was mostly to motivate me to pack the dam nstuff, it was such a monumentous task to go through everything and sort it, so turning it into a video really helped me get in the zone, especially as this was the day before we flew out and I was on ZERO sleep haha. BUT, then when I watched the edit back for the first time I was so surprised by how much I liked the video, but now I'm not sure if it's actually interesting to anyone but me haha. I'm so attached to all these projects I get hyped watching it, but no idea if anyone else will haha
@@Zorpazorp it's the infectious enthusiasm and the delicious promis of future builds. When many people look through their backlog, it could be a reminder of plans unfulfilled, but for me it becomes a wellspring of new ideas and renewed inspiration.
Very jealous of LOTR piles of shame especially the scenery kits, if only I had more space and more Rohan scenery.......good luck with the move to the land of the long white cloud
Best wishes on your journey across the sea Lachy. Someone’s got to tell you mate, for some, let them go. Yes to a space Hulk playthrough, or a version with dwarves in Moria ! Hugs and kisses to the tribe.
Thanks Kili, You should have seen everything I HAVE let go haha, I'd say this is about 20% of what I had this time last year when we decided to make the move. I reckon the Space Hulk Playthrough would be so fun live on stream haha
My guess is that you’ll get a lot of it knocked out, probably feeling impressed and a bit proud, only to turn and find that the pile of shame has somehow still grown.
These is my nightmare of the future. Doesnt matter if it is plastic or not. All my minis will be stored, melted or take dust forever and ever long before I am not here... Anyway I want more. How can I get more plastic from GW?? Jeje
That community event you mentioned at the end is such a nice way of dealing with your shame pile - what annoys me about Pile of Shame videos is the owners going "Heh heh, yeah, I'm never really going to do anything with this pile of rare, mint condition stuff I've been hoarding" so not only giving it away but making it an event that brings the community together is really cool of you!
The logistics involved in moving all that over the pond is insanity. Best of luck hope your paints don't pop!
It's been mental dude, moving stuff inside this week I'll send you some piccies
@@Zorpazorp i'm surprised you didn't just buy a full container, stuff it all in and ship it lol.

I absolutely love the Space Hulk models!!! Eric's Hobby Workshop built a great space hulk killteam board as well.
They're so incredibleeeeeeeeeeeeee, I really think I'll do them on stream
Ought to do Space Hulk games online with your Patreons. 👍
What a blast from the past. I have two of those old Helms Deeps still in box and a Forgeworld Amun Sul. Somewhere ive also got their Balins Tomb base MIB, ive got a second one in my display case with my fellowship on it
I adore the idea of letting folks keep their squads! What a lovely momento :D
Honestly, something I would love to see is the ring wraiths all having a unique load out. One with a bow, one with dual swords, etc.
'There are thousands of middle earth models in these boxes' preceeds to open the one with Vostroyans :)
I hope your new setup/ workshop will allow for all these epic builds to have a home. Keep up the great work!

Absolutely beautiful pile of gray. By any chance will your Age of darkness/ battle of cath ever return? I miss that series.
I want to see more of the OG sewer board!
"I am going to get these done, but not just yet."
Why does this sound so familiar?
This might be the only Pile of Shame to rival Squidmar's. Except, of course, all the ones I don't know about...
I used to conduct Bolt Action lessons at my local game shop. Boy oh boy I got so many free plastic cract that I still havent recover from that.
I'm in the process of repainting and rebaseing my BattleTech minis so I have a mountain of salvage
