- The ARGON GTL (Grand Turismo Long) concept integrated the needs of our clients and listened to their opinions.
They told us:
- “we want more space for us”:
ARGON GT Long have huge space, much more than classic ARGON 915
“we want more space for our stuff”:
At the ARGON GT big luggage compartment you can put golf clubs, skis, surfboard, fishing rods, foldable bike and full size luggage.
- “we want more comfort”:
ARGON GT long have two size (L and XL) ergonomic McLaren shape seat’s, standard central tunel height as in a classic gyroplane for ergonomic posture during long-term flight, the flight control systems are exactly in the same place as in the standard ARGON version with a pre-rotation throttle and two places for cups or phones.
- “we want new, modern avionics and instruments”:
At the request of our clients, we have designed a new top avionic set - GARMIN Gx3 equipped with a three-axis Auto Pilot, combined with Single Lever Controll and the best adjustable in flight propeller on the market - MT Proppeller with a hydraulic governer.
We have designed a new Instrument Panel, we call it a flat panel as opposed to the old version of the old TV style.
You could say that we have skipped one era forward.
- “We want flight more range”:
We have designed new fuel tanks with a capacity of 140 liters, now you can stay in the air for up to 6 hours of flight and a distance of up to 1000 km.
new ergonomic cheers
- “We want to fly safely over long distances over the water”:
We designed CO2 Inflatable Water rescue system installed in the wings of ARGON GT long.
Available versions of ARGON GT Long:
Three seater version with comfortable position for all crew
no cargo doors if not needed
ultimate comfortable one big front windshield, ergonomic central tunnel, comfortable seats, GARMIN GX3 with Autopilot avionics, Shadow Line,
Carbon Look...
PRO versions:
with or without front cargo door
with or without the wings (external fuel tanks)
with new front panel or classic instruments
Frankly speaking between pilot to pilots:
The difference between a short and a long machine in flight is mainly determined by its size.
ARGON 915 is 198.5" long and 87" wide.
ARGON GTL is 216.75" long and 96" wide.
The ARGON 915 is agile and light, it is great for acrobatics, it can be compared to a sports car, for me it is a substitute for the Porsche 911.
The ARGON GTL is a typical Grand Turismo, larger, more stable, even velvety in flight, but slightly less responsive to maneuvers, but more
lazily, its gliding perfection is much greater than in the smaller model. If I had to compare it to a car, it would be a Mercedes S class.
The top speed does not differ much (approx. 5 kt, fuel consumption is similar) and the in-run length is approx. 10% longer.
This is compensated for by the spaciousness and the possibility of loading.
The ARGON GTL has 25 cubic feet more cargo space.
Trained on Magni M-24, and Cavalon for the first half of my training and finished up on the Argo 915. It handled like a dream. No stick shake, very little adjustments to trim. So much more room than other side by sides. A+ on the design. One day I will get one!! Great video.
You more than welcome to our Team :)
i love these Argons i would love to have one and learn to fly
Криштоф, Ваши гиропланы самые лучшие в мире! А также, Вы - чемпион по парному фигурному летанию на гиропланах. Очень красиво у Вас получается.
Either one would be a dream come true for me... :/
are there USA Dealers with Argon for sale ready to fly? Flight school on the USA.? Price points? thanks
Очень солидный аппарат!
Nice
Можно вопрос кто это проектировал?????заправочная горловина в воздухозаборнике. ???

How is it acting in a stall situation? - is it able to loop? - is the gyro-effect affecting the steering?
YOU DON'T KNOW JACK ABOUT FLYING DO YOU? GYROS CAN'T STALL? ...LEARN!
@@brucesweatman2146 I ask to learn - and try to avoid educating others.
It doesn't stall like a conventional aircraft, because the rotor still rotated and create lift (or reduces the fall speed). If the rotor gets blocked, then you are in a tricky situation...
I want one
🇧🇷 Very good
I wonder how much the top speed would increase with retractable gear.
not enough to justify added weight and cost
@@OntarioBearHunter You're probably right.
Agree with OntarioBearHunter. Plus the addition potential to land with gear up. The real limiting factor is how low you can safely get the disk. I know guys who've flown open frame Bensen style gyros (costing only a few thousand dollars) at over 100mph (open frame!). Hell my old direct drive VW did 80mph easily I know others who regularly flew similar machines at 90 and 100mph. Mind you this was extremely dangerous as at those speeds your disk angle is very, very close to fatally unloading one little push and over you go. And don't believe it can't happen on these machines it bloody well can, and if anyone claims it can't invite them to take the machine to 100mph and shove the stick hard forward. So the real question is the airframe if streamlined could easily go that fast the question is how low is the disk angle relative to the airflow and how close are you happy to try your luck?
Trouble is I don't think anyone really knows, experienced pilots will fly at X speed and declare that's VNE. How hard a push would tumble it? Your guess is as good as mine. What I think these machines need is is a wind vane sticking out into the airflow attached to the torque tube (controls pitch) so you can get some sort of reference for your disk angle - not compared to the horizon but to the oncoming air relative to the rotor disk. A warning alarm could then be set say X degrees before flat. That way we could have some idea if we are close. It's not the angle of the air frame that matters its the angle of the disk relative to the oncoming air that is EVERYTHING.
So in short this machine is more than streamlined enough that'd not the issue the issue is you have a massive rotor disk up there that has to be safe to be tilted back. At best LD this will be 9 degrees. So 9 degrees of lift is always trying to drag you backwards. Shallowing this angle will very quickly accelerate you but dip it below 0 and you have maybe a second before you fly right on through your own rotor disk, high cg vs thrustline, big stabiliser or not.
IMO these machine are (all these types their competitors too) are far too bloody heavy, so they end up with a cycle of bigger rotors, more drag, bigger motors etc. etc. Loose 100kg bring the rotors back to 23-24ft and then we'd be talking real performance, half the takeoff roll etc. But you might need to forgo some creature comforts, like heated seating massive bloody instrument stacks. etc. And you'd be able to fly on say a Rotax 912s and save many thousands of dollars.
Back in the day we were flying Aircommand two up on 65hp, yep not as good rate of climb but off the ground much sooner climbing at 35mph, 122kg empty weight. What exactly have we gained for the massive price difference? Back in the day it was what $12000 ish. Exactly how much have we gained? We've lost the low end performance due to extreme weight, we yes have a faster machine but not compared to any number of two seat ultralights. These machines are getting off at what 45mph? The old Bensen style machines even my old VW at 22mph in ground effect and hold until 35mph.
I get it, there's a market for these machines. If I was a doctor/lawyer and time poor and cash rich these would be a great comfortable machine. But give me a balls to the wall open little gyro with light 583 engine 65hp climbing like a homesick angle land literally on the spot every time not land then 20m latter slow. Bash about the local area. If I wanted to just climb and fly straight in comfort I'd rather any number of two seat aircraft you could buy/build for similar money. Hell buy a Zenith 701 and you'd be just as comfy, be off much quicker (unless in screeching winds) have as good top speed be genuinely able to land anywhere and get off again. Landing would not be that much slower. Much easier to learn to fly etc. So if you've got one. Yep all gyros are great they can do tricks no other aircraft other than a chopper can do. But really $150 000? At that top speed you are not going anywhere quick anyway so unless you have a winch and 45 minutes you are likely not trailering you will still need a hanger. I could get my old VW set up in 10-15minutes from on the trailer to in the air. I could trailer it anywhere behind my car on a small trailer. I could store it in my small garage. These big heavy beasts ugh too heavy too tall, rotors too long. But just my opinion.
@@cameronlapworth2284 Extremely informative. THANKS!!!!!!
@@ayokay123 No worries. A lot of us from back in the day are horrified that the home build, small light machines are all but gone. These machines are just the same (all the same geometry just much much bigger and much much more expensive. Unaffordable now too. I build my old VW Bensen style machine for $2500. To do it that cheap I had lots of support from a couple of clubs, I built my own wooden rotors (still nicest flying blades ever). Blokes learned to carve their own props.
Yep there were cowboys around then. And yes they had a dreadful reputation because most people were either teaching themselves to fly or having some bugger who'd taught themselves how to fly teach them. But there were some clubs that did an excellent job. I was with two clubs and instructed in the gyroglider (an unpowered gyro towed behind a car). We never so much as scratched a set of rotors at either club and none of our students who followed through with our training did so either. Some went off and did their own thing and came back with a wrecked machine. Some did it multiple times. But you could learn properly and those that did never had any issues.
These modern machines are attempting to get around difficulties in training like pre-rotating to massive rpm to avoid blade flapping (hinging). This often goes wrong and they smash up their $150 000 machine anyway. The accident record should be near perfect by now but we've thrown out the baby with the bathwater unfortunately.
Simple things like proper axle position. Machines that sit on the nose before you get in take about 2x the distance to get off because they are running along the ground with the disk angle too shallow. If you have a properly positioned nose wheel it will come up early and this will greatly increase the rotor rpm pick up and make the machine get off much much quicker. Its lots of little things like that that many of these machines do very poorly. And it costs nothing to have the axle in the right position. An inch forward or backward can make all the difference. But no put on an expensive pre-rotator put on bigger blades. Here is how a gyro should be able to get off. ua-cam.com/video/jQpceG9pdvU/v-deo.html look at that and tell me we've advanced. That's a design from the 1960's. ua-cam.com/video/OLZMuQS1i7g/v-deo.html here again 20ft 4 inch diameter wood rotors. How long was that to get off. He held a world speed record in one of these at 116knots!! That had 19ft rotors. Again where exactly are we more advanced. The machine weighed 116kg (with pod) empty and that's with pre-rotator, rotor brake and main wheel brakes. This is a mate flying his single seat (much less sophisticated machine in light cross wind probably about 5mph. No pre-rotator. Now tell me you could get the average european gyro off in this distance even with pre-rotation of 220rpm. ua-cam.com/video/36ogAzGGyG4/v-deo.html that's a 54 hp engine machine weighs about 115 - 120kg empty.
Not a fast machine but plenty of performance. And these guys need 140hp to get off at higher speeds using significantly more runway, can't fly as slow. And that machine built today would cost $12 000 - $14000 with a 65hp 583. Literally you could build 10 of them. And you could keep it in your garage at home.
is that the octane you can run? You cant hardly find it in America
Can it fly nighttime VFR?
How much runway needed?
Witam ponownie! Mam kilka pytań do Was, którzy produkujecie najlepsze wiatrakowce na świecie!
Pytanie 1.
Pytanie 6. Dochodzimy więc do tego, ile by mnie to wszystko kosztowało? Chcesz pokonać go na dłuższym dystansie, z większym czołgiem.

You'll have to sort the war in Ukraine first probably.
When Putin is dead
To have broader appeal, you need a vehicle with 4 seats plus cargo space for luggage or groceries.
The aircraft in this video weighs 700 pounds empty, has 140hp, and costs $150,000. The aircraft you’re describing costs 4x more.
maybe not trying to be everything to everyone will keep them in business
@lebojay still about 100kg too heavy. My instructor built his two seater 180kg empty weight
@@lebojay it doesn't have to cost this much. They make it cost that much with too much profit taking.
Get rid of the overpriced engine and find a more affordable setup. Rotax is out of their minds.
@@lebojay 400% more sounds inexplicable. Maybe 200% at most. Of course an engine upgrade would probably be the biggest increase?

Lovely machine, but the $195K (base model)-210K (depending on custom options) price puts it completely out of most people's reach. This is a rich man's toy. You can buy a nice house for the price of one of these. It takes 30 yrs to pay off a house for people that don't have the money to buy it outright. What's this thing going to be worth after just 3 yrs of use? Will it need new engine, new rotor by then? You know, another $50-60K? Love to have one but the price to value ratio is way too high for any that aren't rich enough to buy it outright, as a toy, with disposable cash. How much is the training course, yearly insurance / maintenance costs too? If I win the lotto? I'd get one. Short of that, it's not affordable. Cool yes, but only for those that can piss away $200K just for weekend fun and not miss it. $2500 a month for it to sit in a garage 6 days a week while I spend the next 30yrs to pay it off? I'll pass.
Sour grapes
If you really want it, you will get off your duff and work for it.
FLYING AN AIRCRAFT ARE FOR THE ONES WITH MONEY. ITS PRICE IS CHEAP COMPARED TO OTHER AIRCRAFT, A SMALL JET CAN RUN YOU 10 MILLION WITHOUT THE ENGINES. COST PER WHAT THE UNIT DOES, IT WHY THEY COST LOK AT WHAT YOU PAY FOR A HOUSE? DOES IT MOVE AT ALL? WHAT IT COMES DOWN TO IS YOU CAN WHINE ABOUT IT, OR PAY THE SAME OR MORE FOR A STUPID RV? TO BUY ONE IT IS CALLED FINANCING? YA KNOW LIKE A CAR OR HOUSE. BESIDES, WHY ARE YOU COMPLAINING SO, MUCH THAT YOU DON'T FLY, SO, DON'T SWEAT IT. BESIDES A CENNSA 206 WILL COST ABOUT 3/4 MILLION EASY. SO, FOR WHAT IT DOES AND DOES IT WELL FOR THE PRICE.

@@brucesweatman2146 I get where you are coming from but it's costs big money to take lessons in the first place. An 18 year old can take a driving course for less than 500 bucks and then get a license and even buy a cheap car for less than $5,000.
A ppl would cost from $6,000 to $20,000 just to get a license! Then you gotta buy or rent the craft.
The entry fee is just out of reach for many and doesn't seem to be getting better. I've pondered getting into it but I would want to fly all the time so I would want to buy my own craft. Cavalons have always been my top pick but look at the pricing since COVID. Geez...you would think that crap was over but it's still the same excuse being used to elevate pricing. I'm rambling......
