You have the same Mrs. Claus that my mom puts out every year. I just got hit with all the feels. It’s my favorite time of the year!
Because I knit so many Christmas gifts, I start gift knitting in August or September. So I am in the middle of hats and socks. Possibly some mittens, and then catnip pouches for the cats in my family members lives.
How fun to see your Xmas yarns, project bags all together and watch you put together your first 4 project bags. I can’t wait to see the mint mocha socks. I’ll be caking the Nov Yarnable today and will bounce between that, a sweater for hubby and sweater for myself this fall. Wish my job didn’t get in the way of my knitting time!😂
The cross stitch roses in your wall look exactly like a project I did for my mother. She had it framed exactly like yours. I think the original pattern was supposed to be a pillow top, but she wanted it to be in a frame. It makes me homesick to see it. My mom passed away in 2009 and i don't remember whatever happened to that picture.

I love your Mr and Mrs Claus! They are so cute. Your choices to start knitting are great, because when you finish them it will to closer to Christmas, to start the reds and greens!! The Peppermint Mocha ones I think will be great too. Your project bags are cute. The socks turned out perfect. The purple ones are great to finish and you can so quickly!! I am working on 2 different socks , a hat and a sweater. I have to pick up the sweater, but I always pick up a sock or hat.

all the fun holiday colorways, i can see why it's so hard to choose,!! im knitting Christmas socks for my hubby and my daughter has a January birthday, so i do knit her Christmas gift socks, then her birthday socks right along with the Christmas sock knitting, so hers will be after my Hubby's socks!
Some people can't decide and just fill their bags. Then grab a random bag when they are ready to cast in a new knitting project. I have signature "hollyberry" colour way I am knitting Christmas socks for myself.

I am making a pair of "Starry Night" socks using your vanilla sock pattern with dpns. I learned to knit socks from your tutorial after wanting to learn for a lifetime--literally. The month after I retired, I bought the pattern, yarn, and watched your video. I figure that with all the classes I took, yarn I bought, needles, and patterns over the last 25 years, that first pair I actually made from your tutorial cost me roughly $2437. But I still wear those socks, and I still make them, albeit I sometimes use other patterns now. I have some West Yorkshire Spinners Nutcrackers yarn for Christmas I want to start soon. I am always grateful when I start socks--and I also use 9" circular. Haven't gotten to magic loop yet, but it could happen.
I am working on some wips before I start knitting Christmas socks. Wips that I should have finished…2nd sock that I’m on the foot…hat where I am at the decreases… And then the Christmas sock knitting will happen!!
Lovely to see all that West Yorkshire Spinners yarn in your stash. I’m knitting your Morning Coffee Socks in their Silent Night colour way and I think I saw that in your stash too. They look so good! 😊

I agree about the November yarnable- the box was everything that makes me happy! The yarn is amazing, I get the contrast mini too and wow- you should check out the two together. Let's just say I'm going to need a sweater quantity of that contrast color!

I am really enjoying this yarn, the yarn doesn’t split like the thinner yarn I’ve used previously. The color really does remind me of cookies baking, the brown pink and speckled pink creates a fun look to the sock

I like to give Fall/Thanksgiving the entire month of November, so I'm still knitting up lots of Fall colored things. However, I am very excited to start December with my Yorkshire spinners Christmas yarn.
I have to mention the Yarnable this month. It was just amazing; both skeins of yarn and the extras (all mine are already in use). Really, just absolutely a home run box this month.
I love all your Christmas project bags, and I love that many of them have memories attached to them. Mr and Mrs Claus are maybe just a bit creepy, but I would absolutely buy them display them if I had seen them.

I'm doing two at a time socks 9" circulars. Using the Holly Berries colorway by Nanette Wake Studio from Etsy. BUT, I also eyed a Red Heart yarn Aran Fleck colorway in my stash and was inspired to knit Christmas ornaments. I have one ball done and intend to do mittens and sweaters❤.
I'm stitching Fall right now. My yarn is called Gourd-Geous by Arcane Fiber Works in Canada. I'm doing the vanilla socks but with contrasting cuff, heel and toe. I don't have any actual Christmas yarn right now but I'll just pick out a different color way once I finish these.
I love the idea of having a seasonal basket of yarns to be inspired by. It's coming into summer here in Australia so I am feeling like bright bold colours.
Lovely seeing your Christmas yarn. I have one ball of wys Christmas yarn, but night make something small instead of socks, as I want to get the socks done that I have on the needles and all my other wips progressed a bit before casting on new socks.

Love seeing your seasonal yarns. I have none. For any season. lol I also love watching you use the 9" circulars. I have a few and came to the realization that they are not comfortable for me. Rather than giving them away I decided to use two at a time, less stitches makes them easier for me to handle. I also use them for cutting in for the heel cause they are so easy to put through the stitches and don't distort them. I purchased a few 10" and 12" circulars and really that extra inch is so nice, but the 2 extra inches is perfect for me. I use these for socks and also as stitch holders for smaller projects. I just slip those round string locks on each needle end. I'm still frankensteining my ingrid slipover and knitting on my weekender crew. Still no socks on the needles.... but soon I think cause I'm missing knitting on socks.

I am ready to knit ALL the Christmas socks too! I just received two Heritage Prints skeins and cannot wait to get them started! But, I need to finish other socks first. I am working on a Christmas Box of Socks and I still have a ways to go to fill it, but that means I can be inspired by yarns others use!
I almost bought the Mr. Grinch sock set last Christmas and I have regretted not getting it, so I’m hoping you’ll knit it up this year so I can at least live vicariously through your project! 😅✨

Enjoyed the vlog and seeing all your Christmas yarns. I am using November to finish the mates to my fall socks. I have three advents socks coming this month so I need to clear some needles and get ready to cast on December 1. I've also received my Yarnable and I think it's my most favorite this year. I also get the coordinating skein. I'll probably be winding them up tonight.😊

Oh my gosh-the antique store in Waynesville, OH. I was passing through there once & almost stopped, but didn’t. I’ve always regretted it ever since! The reason I remember it is because my son’s name is Wayne. I always associate names like that & know the store looked like such a great antique store! The Santa’s that you got are cute. I’m sure my family would think they’re creepy too! 😂 (I like them though!) 😂

I love all your Christmas yarn and it made me want to see if I had any. So far five skeins and three skeins of narnia yarn (I know not Christmas but the C S Lewis festival is later this month as he was born here and it somehow makes me feel festive) I’ve just finished some socks from last years WYS Christmas yarn cast on in July so I guess my next pair will be out of this rather full bowl
Let your boys put a skein in a Christmas bag and then you can randomly pick a bag. That way it's a surprise what the yarn is but you get to pick the bag.

Since I finished my first pair of socks, I'm excited to start another pair🤗 Mr & Mrs Claus are adorable 🥰 I put myself on a yarn diet. I'm saving up for a trip to the Dominican Republic in May, but one skein or two of sock yarn shouldn't make a difference. I need Christmas sock yarn in my life right now! I almost have my first DK weight sock done with the November Yarnable. It's SCRUMPTIOUS!!!!!! Always had fingering weight. Used your vanilla DK pattern. Man, they fly! And so squishy! Oooooh.❤ I got the deluxe this time, so I got the 50g along with the 100g... Oh wow!

I think you should have One of the boys put all the November/December yarns in project bags, make a nice basket with these and just grab a bag whenever you are ready to cast on the next pair. This way, it will be a surprise for you too.
