Though most people will tell you that a little reverb can help any instrumental track, drums are a unique case for elevating your sound with carefully applied, high-quality reverb. Want some motion to your mix? Maybe you want your toms to have a dynamic presence? What about some physically impossible sound design to create undulating, rhythmic landscapes? With the right reverb, any of these things and so many more are easily attainable! Sweetwater’s drum doctor in residence, Nick D’Virgilio, takes a look at six reverb plug-ins that sound amazing on drums, including those masterminded by the likes of Chris Lord-Alge, UAD, and more! Take a listen!

👌👌
4:20 reminds me a bit of "We Have Explosive" by Future Sound Of London.
they seem to have used such type of a reverb for a snare drum in this song.
Yo Nick! the tools we have nowadays!, there are no excuses why we cant achieve what could've never been imagined just a few years ago.. I think the Lexicon will be my next purchase.
So, how do you recreate these sounds in a live setting?
Hey Nick, the drums sound great. What sample rate was this session recorded at?
If anybody that was part of this recording would be kind enough to answer my question I would really appreciate it.
Anybody?
I believe those drums were recorded at 24/48.
Thank you!
Nick
