I’m so glad you liked this. I keep moving my bouquet around the house and it looks great no matter where it lands. Thanks for watching and happy flower making.
I'm getting ready to dive in to make some of these to decorate with for my daughter's wedding. We love that you show how to make a peony bud and a partially opened one with the round inner part. I hope I can get practiced enough really quickly so that mine looks as beautifully real as yours do.
Oh wow. You’ll be surprised how nicely they turn out. A little patience for the first flowers, it gets easier and easier once you understand how they assemble. It will look amazing for her wedding. Congratulations. Happy flower making.

Thank you, your flowers look amazing so realistic. Who would ever guess they are coffee filters! Flowers can be so useful in accessories too.Hats, or I like making my own cross body bags and something like this looks great on them, perhaps a smaller version. Your tutorial is great, very thorough.
That sounds great. I love these because they are not only pretty but versatile too. I used the purple poppies on a hat and they looked great. Very elegant. Thanks for watching.
You are too cute- love your apron and LOVE your flowers. You have inspired me to make these!! Thank you so much for taking the time to create all your flower tutorials. God bless. 🙂
Thank for sharing your craft. After watching your video I felt inspired to try making peonies. I’ve already dyed my coffee filters. I can’t wait until they are dried to begin making them. You truly are a gift. Again, thank you
That’s wonderful. I think you’ll really enjoy this craft and the flowers turn out so nice. I move my bouquet around the house and it adds so much freshness and beauty to the space. Happy flower making.
Suzy, I’m so impressed by your teaching style. How you have laid everything out with printed instructions and patterns, is way beyond helpful. Then your demonstration of each step makes it so easy to follow. I’m guessing you have a teaching background. Thank you so very much. Im a retired elementary teacher and your steps method is how I taught the academic skills and personal growth skills to my children. Again thank you. I want to pass to all of my friends I help in my art class, your website.
Thank you for the kind words. I did international IT recruiting for Bermuda and Cayman ... it involved communicating tons of information for employment and relocation purposes via email or phone. It really developed my attention to detail and accuracy skills. Maybe that is coming through in these tutorials. I appreciate you reaching out and sharing. Happy flower making!
My goodness, I just came across you and this video and am I happy that I did! I checked out your other videos and am absolutely transfixed by the wealth of information that you offer in them. I just found your videos and can't tell you how happy I am! When I was little my grandmother taught me how to make all sorts of paper flowers. Just beautiful! I didn't see this video come up on my youtube feed when it first came out. Hello. Petal #5 a & b are the leaflettes. I used 3 of the round ones around the base of the flower (once the flower is made) then glue the straw, then glue the small leaflettes (I used 5) around the flower base onto the straw creating a little collar. Then wrap the floral tape. The little paper collar helps adhere the floral tape to the straw. It just makes it easier to start the floral tape. The link to instructions shows the order. I think I made it confusing because petal 5 is the same pattern for a petal and a leaf. In video part 2 I used it as a petal to make the bud and as a leaf at the base of the bud flower. Part 3 shows how to paint the filters and make the leaves. Hope this helps. I had to make this video in 3 parts because there was too much to cover. Thanks for watching and happy flower making. !

Hi Suzy, I can’t figure out when you use petal number 5? Is that after the heart shaped petal? Instructions don’t mention petal 5
