mate it took me 4 years to remember the name of this song on this specific performance, so unique and refreshing song
can't believe that after 7 years i'm still here and this band didn't become huge. See you in another 7? 🤞🤣
I’ll be right there with ya bud 😂
a bit sad .
Facts
Sad that these guys didn’t get as much attention as they deserved
Seen them live at strummers in my hometown Fresno California. I was standing right in front of pat cassidys fender amp. It was amazing.
@@isaiahdelacruz8703 NOOOOO WHEN IM IN FRESNO
Saw them at Troubadour in LA and it was EPIC!!!!!!! love when they come to San Diego for the small venue performances. They’re so nice.
they should.
Shame they got away from this sound
I swear, this version of Suburban Smell is better than the album one lol.
It's not even close. This is better.
Both of these songs are so much better here than the album version.
"I don't know if I use my head the right way, but then again who is to say that I'm wrong." -- Probably one of the best lines ever.
They are so good in concert
La Blogotheque always seems to get the very best out of people. This is no exception.
Thank you for the very kind words
Brian Kisielewski Completely agreed
I've been in a really hard depression for quite a while now... and this is what keeps me going, the things that make the world beautiful and I don't want to miss. Thank you.
6 years later… hope you’re well, friend.
love the raw quality to his voice.
I cant even imagine how many times I've listened to this. And this is from someone who was unaware of this group before. I even grabbed this album after, it's incredible
His voice makes me want to cry. Wonderful video, like everything else you folks do!
Boy, that’s music!
3:46 gives me CHILLS everytime good GOD
The backing vocals are so so so well done
Why did I start pouring down tears during this first song?? I'm in love with this song!
So much passion!
This, in my opinion , is the best live performance they have produced. Kudos to La Blogotheque for their excellent cinematography. There's always something about the intimacy it forces upon you that makes the music that much better.
my heart is crying
I always find myself coming back to this, so beautiful
My favourite band, back again to hear this masterclass performance
This is music as its purest, thanks for this experience La Blogothèque.
This is absolutely incredible. I haven’t even heard the album version of Suburban Smell, but I know it’ll never be as good as this. The vocals overwhelm me perfectly, not to mention the insane quality of the lyrics. The scenery is beautiful. And something about that woman and her kid staying gets you, then it’s as if she’s unimpressed when they leave. And the song ends and tears are wiped away, and the camera pans to the great big wonderful sky. The best part is it’s not apparent what his tears are for. Could be the song, the scenery, or the mother walking away. Or a combination of all three or parts of them. I’m completely blown away. Gonna listen to this on repeat for a while cause my soul needs it.
Somehow, I feel like I've known Rob my entire life and that we're just having a conversation. The reverb under that bridge.... god damn.
I just think these guys are ahead of everyone with how they create music and about life with their lyrics, so good
i can't believe i put off listening to this video as long as I did 10/10
I went to Warwick HS in Lititz. Great to see such good music come out of such a small town! I can understand completely how the word is used as well as I have personally seen similar acts during my years there.
Back on my feed right when I need yall again. Never seen this video before but love the band. Keep it up!
Fall rolls around and the districts start playing
Love this. Especially the first one. It sounds like tears on fire.
That's insanely cool that you guys made a Take Away Show for The Districts!
PS. I've been a fan of the Take Away Shows for years now and they're still great!
Merci !
Wow! We get to see you guys soon! Can't wait to see ya with Modest Mouse on August 20th in Rochester, Hills, Mi.
Heard them at loufest last year and fell in love instantly. By far my favorite band
I posted a comment about this 3 years ago. Here I am today. Listening and enjoying it even more.
Ahhhhh this is so refreshing - camera work is beautiful :)
they were so good....
hell yeah!! i love take away shows and this bands from my town!! i remember the first time i heard them was at a local show at world cafe at a lou reed tribute show after he passed and i was especially stoked because they were my age and how great they were
Absolutely beautiful
4:00 and a wild Pat, Connor, and Braden appeared!
Great clip dudes
Pinche obra de arte ALV
cant wait to see them
Good job guys !!! Blogothèque is the best
J'ai redécouvert les Take Away Show il y a peu.
the others joining in on 4th and Roebling tho. another great take away
Thanks for that take away show, thanks for sharing it and long live the Districts...
Woooooow such a great filming & what about that m8! Stunning voice, great feeling out there, great band at the end. Cheers from México
Amazing, keep on fighting the good fight
This is one of my favorites video
Great performance, every live clip I've seen of these guys has been good and this is no exception.
Also The Blogothéques sound guy does a great job, I don't really know much about sound recording if I'm being honest, but I can imagine that it must be difficult to record outside like this and make it sound this good. I'm surprised there's barely any noise pullution.
Superb directing and cinematography!
That was beautiful, I'm really looking forward to the new record, and the next video of course, I love the videos you guys put out. :)
Many thanks !
.i saw them live and they're whole sound is just... Passionate they make music that's truly art
Loving this.
Very promising band. Sound's amazing!
I cant wait to see them!! 2 weeks left
beautiful.
I've been following the districts for forever and it's great to see them get some publicity! be sure to check out their other stuff people :) thanks for the upload.
great band, the performance at the southside festival this year was awesome! i like this vid!
so beautiful man
I fucking love this! I love their new record as well, but his raw singing without the use of excessive effects just gives me goose bumps every fucking time!
Was he crying at the end of suburban smell?
incredible, love'em
Great song and great video. I felt it . Keep doing it .
Fantastic
Para mi esto es una nueva tendencia, CONGRATULATION FOR THE CHANEL!!! o como se diga, algo nuevo que forma ya parte de mi vida :)
muchas gracias !
Every now and then, you're in my mind.
Beautifully Filmed! Keep it up!
Wish i could download the performances as they give the songs such a softer vibe.
4th & Roebling starts @ 3:00
musca psicodelica, hace volar !!
great
Does anyone know the tabs for that riff in Suburban Smell!?!? I can't find it anywhere
Holy shit these guys are good.
This is so sick! The video quality/sound is amazing, what camera was used to film this?
Fcking perfect. . . .
Does anyone know the chords for Suburban Smell?
Where was this shot?
Have you seen their website?! Awesome though it is not all finished yet
The individualist will arise out of and any superficial privilege or curse. The rose that grew from concrete.
dem Strokes chords!
i will never be this
this is so fucking good
fucking awesome..
Is this about the Super Bowl?
It's about the challenges of growing up and attending high school in a small suburban town, the football reference is about high school football games.
music is more beautiful in paris
Out of curiosity, where was this filmed?
Paris. Around the "Parc de la villette".
Yo, so particularly sober the other night i was havin a bit of a la blogofest, watchin these guys and all the rest and I heard someone?, an acoustic performance with a leg accordion press? thing. . A long shot i know but what the hell .. Any ideas who it was ??
The second half of Bon Iver's take away show for "For Emma?"
+Nash Uebel Alas no, unless i hunted the wrong out, Im afraid its lost .. Thanks for the reply though, good reason to give this one another watch ..
this sounds a little like "I can tell we are going to be friends" by the White Stripes
Someone help. trying to learn this great song on guitar. anyone know the chords?
the verses are just F#m - A - D - D and the chorus is F#m - C#m - D - B. You can get the feel and rhythm pretty well from watching this video over and over haha. I'm still figuring out the tabs for that riff
+Tyler Hentges Also, all barre chords
Awesome! thanks so much. If you figure it out let me know!
+Tyler Hentges it's D7 actually, not D
Its like drinking from a lil teacup
Les plus talentueux ne sont pas très connus ..
anybody knows the chords ?
any tab for the first song ?
:)
can someone teach me this on guitar
any lyrics lol ?
Camera work was a bit uncomfortable.
***** that's the whole point of our Take Away Shows :)
Dude
For the ones who lost in train
they look the same, look the same...:(
I like the districts, and "suburban smell" sounds great but how can I relate to kids who live in the suburbs, I know and have friends who live in projects, my friends would be happy to live in the suburbs. Like suburbs kids have it all I bet, and my friends have graffiti and barred windows. Its kinda hard to feel bad when someone have more than you
It's more about conformity and how also people that have it all take it for granted and/or are dicks
Orginal 4th and robeling was better
their newest song is trash compared to this. so generic. my heart is broke
I love this band, but really not a massive fan of the guitarist. Turn that stupid effect off, theres no need
