This may because something wrong with the file system or your operating system doesn’t recognize it. In this case, you have to format the RAW file system to NTFS to make the drive reusable again. In this video, we will show you 3 ways on how to convert the RAW hard drive to NTFS format without losing data. Fix 1: Convert RAW Drive to NTFS with Command Prompt
To convert RAW to NTFS file system, you can use diskpart. But first, run command prompt as adminstrator. Type "diskpart" and press Enter to run it. Use "list volume" command to check all your volumes. Select the volume you want to format with command "select volume". Type "format fs=ntfs" and press Enter to convert it to NTFS.
Fix 2: Convert RAW Drive to NTFS with Disk Management
If you're not familiar with command lines, you can do it with Disk Management. Open Disk Management, and locate your RAW drive. Right click it and select Format. Here you can choose NTFS as its file system. Perform a quik format, you can convert it to NTFS.

If you can see the RAW drive in File Explorer, you can change its file system here. Right click your RAW drive, and click Format. In File system, choose NTFS. And you can format it to NTFS.

ur data recovery software is just a 3rd party file explorer..it does nothing else..it cant open the raw file nor can it read the unreadable raw drive...it freezes when the raw drive is connected until the raw hdd is unplugged it wont respond

yep do not try these ways, they accomplish the same way via formatting the drive. Second way is just doing the formatting manually essentially. This is all a trap to probably make you panic and get their stupid program. I lost my data but that is just life (copium), just do NOT try this yourselves if you have ANYTHING worth saving on that drive.
