No more access to the USB stick and in the disk management it is only displayed as RAW?
That's what happened to me with an Intenso USB stick. Fortunately, it didn't have any very important data on it, but it turns out that you should always have your data backed up somewhere.
Even formatting was no longer possible, so the thing was broken.

If the files are damaged or overwritten, there is nothing you can do.

🙏 Days of worthless searches and attempting half minded advices from numerous channels which do follows "now familiar" " "chkdsk'" attempts ineffectively, this tutorial was a bliss. I don't know how far I have recovered from the corrupted hard disk but important files have been salvaged for sure. Thanks a ton...! almost all of the videos were effectively directing towards paid data recovery softwares but this one accomplished what is required for free. Hope that youtube algorithm will proliferate this video amongst the folks who are struggling to recover their data....

Best video for this category. It is useful also when you flashed a usb drive with balenaEtcher and you forgot to backup all the data in another HD. I recover most of the images, pdf, docs. Thanks a lot man!

Sorry to hear that, this is hard to tell from here, but it might be the case that you device is really broken. Is the device shown in the disk management?
This is the only one work for me. My case was I took the card out from a Fujji camera and pluged it in a Macbook, the file couldn't open so I plug it to another windown PC. Then this problem happened. There are many peoples showing the way to fix but it take money, this one is free!

I have my sd card labeled with the RAW format but it also show the incorrect disk size, my memory is 32 GB but it is labeled 204 GB, it would still work?
Well you can try it, but it happened to me too, some time ago, that a false size of the SD card was reported.

If you just want to get the stick back to working, no data recovery, you can just try to format the stick. However keep in mind, that the stick might be damaged and it might be risky to use the stick.

This worked for me in recovering a friend's external USB hard drive in copying all his files off. Now how do I fix the file system on the errant drive?
You can just format the drive. It really depends what caused the issue, if thats possible. If the hard drive is damaged, it might be best to get a new one.

Are you using TestDisk? In that case it seems there is nothing you can do recovering the data.

@@natswapnapalikadch6652 if testdisk is not working, your only option might be a professional service, i did never use such a service, but i had a viewer going through the process, which i documented here:

But there is no guarantee that this will work either. sometimes the data is just lost.

my usb comes out as "unallocated" it has a solution?
I would assume that TestDisk would still work with that scenario. Do you have a problem?
@@ekiwi-blog-english there is a bad block counter and it says that diskdrill has located some unreadable sectors on the device
@@TorVic2142 I cannot answer questions about DiskDrill. I think I have tested the software some time ago. This video is about TestDisk, does this work to recover data or does this give you the same errors?
@@ekiwi-blog-english oh sorry, I have tried so many programs that I have mixed up the names haha in TestDisk when I select the disk it is type: unknown and when i click search the screen remains blank, reading sector and put 0/10 headers found
