Good morning from Texas 🤠 have a great day ❤
Great Vid. Thanks! Hey, I have a question again. They are sending my wife on a CE called a 6 minute pulmonary walk test. Then a week later, a Physical CE. DDS scheduled them. The first one they actually scheduled it at our local hospital. Also, recently, her primary Dr is sending my wife to a Heart Failure Clinic. Thats actually happening this coming Friday. She has COPD, Diastolic Heart failure, Diabetic, on oxygen now 24/7 continuously 2 liters. She has acute hypoxia. and PTSD and cannot walk ten feet without dizzy, and headaches, or worse. They have all this info at DDS as I have spoken to the examiner every week for the last several months. Why are they ordering these tests? She meets at least 2 listings. I am scared she will fall down during the walk test. Her oxygen levels go up and down like a yoyo even on steady flow. Last I spoke with the DDS examiner she told me shes been trying to approve her claim but her doctors at DDS need these appointments done first. Seems nuts. Every time I speak with you my wife has gotten a bit worse.. Shes going downhill. Is there anyway I can get them to cancel this appointment for the walking due to the risk involved? I mean, shes bedridden. OR might it work in her favor if they see her struggle? I just kinda feel this is stupid when they have plenty documentation. I guess they dont believe her despite all the specialists and the function reports. Many are telling me to get her into hospice care or get an order for it to show the severity to DDS. I really need help and can't take care of her. She needs a nurse to come in 1 time a week at least. Any ideas?
I am guessing the extent of the limts is NOT clear in the records sufficient to meet the listing - and sometimes I just think they want to just double check that there is no fake cr*p going on. I'd NOT worry about it but of course, when you bring her, let them know how she will get dizzy in a few feet. they MAY cancel it on the spot or they have modifications. I don't know.
IF SHE IS READY FOR HOSPICE ( and I am so sorry!), then I do think that would make a difference. If you have CURRENT records (like the last 2 weeks, by all means, GET them to her adjudicator!
Hang in there.
Yes the examiner has them all. Then told me they are still wanting more exams before she can submit the final report to DDS doctors for approval
I think you posted this under wrong video. But no worries. The DDS doctors dont approve or deny - they take the documented medical evidence and determine what RFC remains and quantify if (or if a listing is exactly or equally met); then they send it back to adjudicator to complete his/her process and come up with an end determination. OF course, those, those internal Medical Experts, for practical reasons, generally end up with the last piece, which may determine the end.
@@AllThingsSocialSecurity I will keep you posted on the outcome. I feel she really needs a lawyer now not later. I think DDS is just kicking the can down the road on this. The situation is dire. While they draw this process out via more appoints, she gets worse. I know she already meets 2 listings. I wish I knew she needed a Lawyer on her initial application. I was always told you should wait to get denied then get a lawyer. I will say this, if they deny her, she won't live long enough for me to get a lawyer involved and get approved a year from today. If you saw the shape she was in you would be aghast that they are sending her to this. I have already been talking to her mother and father about possible future hospice and funeral arrangements. I am not being taken seriously by DDS.
@@armymomheatherc Lawyers don't cost a retainer, so did you get one or are you acting as her lawyer? I would caution you against assuming she meets two listing. A diagnosis does not make it and often the doctors (treating) are appallingly incompetent in providing the relevant details in their records. Truly. It is not too late to get a lawyer now. How old is she, we may have openings if you want to reach out.
You know who says you should wait to lose before getting a lawyer are the lawyers that want the early work done but others, however poorly to better ensure a denial and so when they hop on the case is AGED and they get a bigger fee.
You are not taken as GOSPEL by DDS, b/c legally you cannot be. If they awarded on your statements, it would be overturned and you'd be behind even more. I am not condoning slowness, but if SSA is willing to pay for many CE exams, it means her doctors are performing poorly. And that is not right. But don't get me started on the medical industry.
@@AllThingsSocialSecurity I am her husband. We share the same email and YT . We been married 27 years. We share everything. Im no Lawyer and not acting as her Lawyer. I am just educating myself as much as possible. I am retired/disabled myself. I been thru this stuff before & I watch your channel to gain more insight. She is bedridden, a shut in due to her declining health issues. I am her mouthpiece I guess you could say because she just doesn't have the emotional or physical strength to fight for what she needs. Shes doesn't get enough oxygen to her body/brain and has gaps in thought processes. Shes on oxygen 24/7 . My heart is breaking watching her dwindle while they send her to MORE appointments when I thought she had great medical records. I am helping her navigate the broken system as much as possible.
@@AllThingsSocialSecurity I especially agree on the last thing you said. Its horrible and we are living a medical nightmare. I couldn't afford a lawyer on retainer no matter because I myself am on a fixed income. As it is, her doctors are thru indigent care from the county/hospital. So I doubt they are being very detailed or thorough. I guess there isn't enough profit in it for them. Shes a charity case. Lost her insurance in Jan.2024
Good morning from California 😊
Morning!
Hello quick question. First your videos are extremely informative and helpful. My question is when after initial filling for SSDI, should I expect SSA to send me the function report. Thank you.
This varies greatly. As a general rule, it is ONLY after it leaves the field office it started at, as a fully processed application, at which point it goes to the agency outsourced to feds from your state, to do the federal medical work up and DECIDE if there is medical disability that meets the level required by law. It used to be that office waited a bit. But now I typically see the FR and WHR come out as soon as they get it. They finally got smart in that regard, rather than waiting til all med records are in and THEN ask you to fill this out. If it were me, I'd be preparing my answers before I got the demand, but they give you a 10 day deadline and after mailing, you get it on day 9. One extension is usually provided upon request, but you must communicate that.
Your skin looks nice!
God Bless Zoom filters, lol.
