I once wrote to John Williams telling him how much I loved this song and went into detail about how I appreciated the logic and rhythm in the piece, and why it tied all together as a powerful song. AND HE WROTE BACK - ON MY BIRTHDAY! He said he was impressed by my "detective skills" ^ ^ Best birthday gift ever.
+Brandon Hardy It would yea, but expect mostly themes from the Classic Star Wars movies. If they would mix music elements and themes from all 6 previous episodes then it would be amazing.

YouLostTheGameLolWut Jar Jar Binks was a comic relief for kids, Because kids were the main target of Episode I. Because Anakin was a kid in this Episode. Because that's why. (Sorry for bad english, i'm French...)
+66_greenrunner_77 I just vote for an epic return of Han solo from the dead. Episode 3 tells all! But yeah, this soundtrack goes only to Maul. Knowing Disney, Im already sure Kylo will kill his master (IDK who exactly he is, probably Darth Plagueis I would guess), and then return to the jedi with his father and begin to train new jedi. Calling it now
+Brandon Hitchcock No. Han Solo died in the last movie because he doesn't want to make more Star Wars movies. He said it in some interview after the movie premiere.
That literally makes 2 of us. I almost cried of emotion seeing Darth Vader appear and slaughter all of those rebels at the end of Rogue One. I am a DIE HARD Vader fan, Vader rules, PERIOD!
jmrbug 96 Same, bro. I think Vader is the best fictional character ever created. When I heard the breath my heart stopped. When he ignited the saber I got chills but actually expected the scene to end! When he started the massacre I had a physical and verbal reaction. I grabbed my cousin's hand, whimpered, and cried a little. One of the best experiences of my life, man. Long live Vader.
Since y'all talk about it anyways, here are some things the prequels did well: -Duel of Fates (the score and the fight) -The duel between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan on Mustafar -Ewan McGregor's acting -The friendship between Anakin and Obi-Wan (most of the time) -The rise of Darth Vader -Darth Sidious -Order 66 and attack to the Jedi Temple -Mace Windu (most of the time) -Natalie Portman's clothes in Episode II (*wink*) -The fight between Obi-Wan and Jango Fett on Kamino -The ship designs -Darth Maul's lightsaber -Darth Tyrannus's lightsaber -Darth Sidious's lightsaber -The scene where Anakin starts to kill Tusken Raiders (they should have shown us more from that scene though)
am I the only one who thinks that episode 2 was worse than 1? i can't pick anything about that movie that I like... Except for a akin killing the Tusken raiders.
***** That's why I think Episode I should have been about the events that happened in Attack of the Clones, Episode II about the Clone Wars and Episode III like it is. You would get a lot more of the characters.
DictatorSayers. That reminded me of Simpsons where Bart and Skinner were fighting with shrimp and peanut butter while dual of fates was playing in the background :D
I know disney wants the new films to look like OT but for fucks sake duel of the fates, one of the most epic pieces of music in star wars, must be heard in episodes 8 and 9
So that's the story of how Episode I happened, right? (sorry it was right there and I had to. I actually don't hate the prequels, don't think they are amazing, but you know, they're alright)
OF COURSE this is the best part of the Prequel Trilogy! You guys didn't expect John Williams to slack off in his writing like George Lucas did in his, did you? Silly Internet!
Eli Mayer "Real fans" don't have to have a parrot approval of everything in the Star Wars universe - including movies - just because you say so. I am allowed to be a fan of the series and believe that the prequels were, at the very least, poorly cast (read: anyone who played Anakin) and poorly written ("Now THIS is pod racing!"). To compare the prequels to the original series is just silly. The original series changed our culture and became a phenomenon in and of itself. The prequels would not have survived in our cultural conscience had they not been connected to the original movies. I DO watch the prequels when I sit down and watch the saga, and on some level, I do enjoy them. However, the originals will always remain one of the greatest cultural phenomenons in the 20th Century.
Angus Gibson I can definitely see where you are coming from, and respect your opinion. I meant in no way to make an argument, just stating my opinion. But yeah, I just love the prequels because the clones, the music, the lightsaber battles, and just the better special FX, which by no means would be a big reason on its own, because the originals were also amazing, even having bad special FX. I definitely also agree that without the originals, which a huge amount of the fan base comes from, the prequels wouldn't have been as popular; but, I could see them standing on their own and doing quite well. I love the entire saga, but I still think I must say I enjoy the prequels more, mainly because of growing up with them, booming around the time of my birth up until my early boyhood, and them getting played a lot, but you must never forget where something comes from, and I never will.
Eli Mayer I liked the prequels when I was a kid, but now that I'm 25 and have more developed tastes, after having rewatched them, I know exactly why everyone complains. Here's a really really short version of why: -Characters aren't memorable, and the characters who are memorable are only memorable because they're references to who they become in the original series. -Anakin is completely unlikeable, his fall to the dark side is not compelling or interesting. -The morality system in star wars is intrinsically flawed and makes no sense. Characters behave irrationally because they attempt to fit into this completely illogical morality system. -Phantom menace doesn't actually have a protagonist. Anakin doesn't even show up for the first forty minutes. -The light saber battles are eye candy, but they're not emotionally compelling and they're often filler. They are actually boring. There's no tension. -In the original series, Jedi are portrayed as being like an old mysterious order of monks and they're interesting primarily because they're mysterious and dying out. You're left to wonder what they could have been like and this method of leaving the audience to their imaginations is exceptionally fun. In the prequels, Jedi are portrayed as a bunch of uptight/incompetent/clueless space police who know nothing about human development, and it leaves you with the feeling that the jedi order deserved to fall into extinction.
honestly this, i really like the prequels, especially revenge of the sith. last jedi could have gotten that atmosphere, but they fucked it up with bad writting, sjw bullshit and shitty jokes. i feel like kylo ren was the only serious character in the movie
he may be an edgy darth vader wannabe but i feel he was the only well written character, he has some, though very little development, which is basically resolving his internal conflict in order to kill snoke and try turn rey to the darkside as his apprentice. he isnt a maREY sue either, hes beaten buy rey in tfa, and those red guards in last jedi, and hes actually been trained by both luke and snoke.i dont like his character, but i feel its the only character theyve actually don well
If John Williams gives us a piece of music more epic than this, then the whole theater Episode VII will be shown in will be completely damaged from the sheer ejaculation. Sorry if that was too explicit. XD
Shelby James xD hahahaha but it'd be awesome if that happened. Now, I've already started wondering if he'll be able to make a piece of music just as intense as Duel of The Fates in Episode VII. Hopefully he will do, but I guess it depends on the script. I hope this episode will have the lightsaber action from Episode I combined with a storyline resembling the Original Trilogy, that would be a certain and suitable mix for this new film.
Rockwars10 I think that's what they're going for. Most fans love the Original Trilogy because it has the most heart and it tells a fun story very well. Feelings on the prequels are very mixed but a lot of fans will admit that the lightsaber fights were the highlights of that trilogy and possibly the best ones in the saga. I predict Abrams is going to give us the best of the old (endearing characters, a fun story, practical effects) mixed in with the best of the new (expertly choreographed lightsaber battles).
Jem S Yes and I think that specifically after learning some stunt actors from "Raid 2" will be in the film (don't know their certain roles). But by taking this into account, they are likely the ones that are going to perform some kind of action sequences, there mustn't be other reasons for starring in if it's not for that purpose.
Lmao the cards barely even affect gameplay. I have good shit and I got it simply by playing. The reason they disabled it is because everyone was bitching about it.
Jimmy John lol barely? So getti g a card that turns the heavy machine gun to a heavy grenade launcher that shoots faster then shit isn't major. Not even speaking of other mods
Boondock Taint It's true though, the head writer (I believe) for the originals quit before production of the prequels started because Lucas' ego made him believe that special effects were more important than storytelling and good writing, which is a large part of the reason why the prequels have terrible dialogue and a general lack of substance. However, I do believe this was mostly fixed by Episode 3 and that Disney has so far handled the latest movies very well.
+Spirit and Music Debatable. I personally prefer Howard Shore and Hans Zimmer over John Williams. But his work is no less iconic. Definitely top five though.
+persianking44 Hans Zimmer doesn't make songs that work on their own as good. You can fucking sing these ad invoke the emotion from the movie in a way no other movie composer has done this consistently.
+Cain Jenkins I don't expect it to be a too epic fight. Kylo seems to be a pro and Finn is a beginner. But I wouldn't mind it, Luke didn't even fight with his saber in New Hope.
The prequels will always hold a special place in my heart. Epic lightsaber duels at it's best something this so called new starwars can't even comprehend. I'm not even sure you can call the new trilogy starwars films lol
Genji my girlfriend asked why I kept a gun in my house. I told her "Decepticons". She laughed, I laughed, the toaster laughed, I shot the toaster, it was a good time.
When my dad goes to sleep and leaves the TV controller on the couch. Then my brother and I look at controller at the same time. *Starts this song on the backgorund*.
Austin Gross Tis an absolutely fab piece of music to be fair. The duel wasn't so bad either though. Darth Maul with a double blades lightsaber was just epic.
Am I the only person that has actually liked all Star Wars movies even rouge one, I mean I always see people saying the prequels suck or the last Jedi sucked or rouge one was pointless but I never see anyone say, “they were all pretty good” so imma say it now, all Star Wars movies are pretty good
Mister Me The prequels could have been better imo. However they had their merits (although the title of the second one could have been a LITTLE more original.) The original trilogy was spectacular imo. And yes I saw them as a kid so I loved the Ewoks and never questioned how their primitive guerrilla tactics beat the Stormtroopers. As for the latest two of the new trilogy (haven’t seen Rogue One yet)... Force Awakens was too copy-paste for me but it was still a decent movie. And I simply LOVED Last Jedi. So in all? Of all the Star Wars movies I’ve seen (we do NOT speak of the Christmas Special!) they were all good in their own way, some were better than others imo. And that’s just my opinion.
Aria Johnson The primitive warfare you speak was directly inspired by the Viet Cong, which beat the shit out of the US. So it is very reasonable to see the empire get pushed back by them
Sean Miller I’m not questioning the actual tactics (although that’s very interesting to learn, thanks for sharing!) what I meant was the weaponry... rocks and arrows versus the Empire’s armor. I understand it’s not exactly strong... if blasters can get through it... but an arrow doesn’t have the same force as a blaster bolt right? Okay I realize I’m applying physics to a fantasy universe when I don’t have a proper fundamental grasp OF physics so... don’t mind me. I still enjoyed the movies.

Say what you will about the prequel trilogy but the soundtrack was AMAZING!
Duel Of fates fight scene was also awesome
Let's be real the duels in the prequels were far better than in original trilogy.
Can never go wrong with John Williams.

YouLostTheGameLolWut Jar Jar Binks was a comic relief for kids,
Because kids were the main target of Episode I.
Because Anakin was a kid in this Episode.
Because that's why.
(Sorry for bad english, i'm French...)
right? everybody is like "I'm a huge Star Wars fan, I hate half of the movies!!!"
I literally typed in "That dramatic star wars music" and this came up.
Perfect.
OMFG IT DOES COME UP!
I have been delighted

KDGCuber 1 I didn’t say this is any better I said one of 2 popularity of those people doesn’t make them better
KDGCuber “one of the best”. Read his whole comment and stop with the ignorance.
Terry Adams Thank you very much
Episode 8 and 9 need this soundtrack tbh
Rey and kylo final fight
+66_greenrunner_77 No. That deserves its own thing. I feel that this is Maul's ballad and it should stay that way. My vote goes to Rebels.
+Tyrone Brown noo
if this song is in the Last Jedi I am going to cry of emotion
Long live Vader.
holy fuck this is so pathetic its beautiful

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA but true though
*DUEL OF THE FATE INTENSIFIES*
JinxBinder Shit, Anakin....
If the prequels were as good as their soundtrack. How good would they be?
+S.O. Booth no other film franchise would come remotely close to its greatness.
Lord Jeffries Maybe The Dark Knight trilogy. That soundtrack was pretty great.
Kadrystan I love those movies and their soundtracks, except they are nowhere near as memorable as Star Wars' score.
Lord Jeffries True. true. Star Wars' score is iconic and is all over the media of filmography.
Lord of the rings? :P
Since y'all talk about it anyways, here are some things the prequels did well:
-Duel of Fates (the score and the fight)
-The duel between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan on Mustafar
-Ewan McGregor's acting
-The friendship between Anakin and Obi-Wan (most of the time)
-The rise of Darth Vader
-Darth Sidious
-Order 66 and attack to the Jedi Temple
-Mace Windu (most of the time)
-Natalie Portman's clothes in Episode II (*wink*)
-The fight between Obi-Wan and Jango Fett on Kamino
-The ship designs
-Darth Maul's lightsaber
-Darth Tyrannus's lightsaber
-Darth Sidious's lightsaber
-The scene where Anakin starts to kill Tusken Raiders (they should have shown us more from that scene though)
am I the only one who thinks that episode 2 was worse than 1? i can't pick anything about that movie that I like... Except for a akin killing the Tusken raiders.
Anakin*
Phantom Menace is overall stupid.
Attack of the Clones is overall dull and boring.
***** That's why I think Episode I should have been about the events that happened in Attack of the Clones, Episode II about the Clone Wars and Episode III like it is. You would get a lot more of the characters.
Darth Maul could have been the villain for the first two movies, before Anakin does him the same what he did to Dooku.
When ur looking on ur phone during a test and the professor catches u
Then you duel them to see if you fail or not
Diarakostima Duel of the Grades
Tell them you're listening to duel of the fates. He'll pass you
DictatorSayers. That reminded me of Simpsons where Bart and Skinner were fighting with shrimp and peanut butter while dual of fates was playing in the background :D
jajaja
When two enemy Genji's use their ults.
I'd actually like to see that happen now...
The need in healing is strong with this one
I know disney wants the new films to look like OT but for fucks sake duel of the fates, one of the most epic pieces of music in star wars, must be heard in episodes 8 and 9

I don't want John Williams to die. 🙁
Michael john Williams need to teach his son to be likes his daddy
When he dies, will become stronger than ever.
Michael whenever someone who worked on the star wars franchise dies, they will become more powerful than you could ever imagine
Michael I have found you
Wait isn't he the guy who made the song true blue
How to take a dramatic shit.
Step one: Sit on toilet
Step two: Play Duel Of The Fates
Step three: Release the kraken
Well, that comment made my day.
May the force be with you.
Question, what if I did Step Three first?
So that's the story of how Episode I happened, right? (sorry it was right there and I had to. I actually don't hate the prequels, don't think they are amazing, but you know, they're alright)
"Release the kraken"
When Anakin doesn't take a seat when I tell him to.
Mace Windu I must say you are here sooner than expected.
Anakin: "I wanna marry Padme"
Will Smith: "DENIED! Sit Down!"
But like, the whole council knew Ki adi Mundi had a family…
They allowed him to have one because his species was near extinction.

OF COURSE this is the best part of the Prequel Trilogy! You guys didn't expect John Williams to slack off in his writing like George Lucas did in his, did you? Silly Internet!
I enjoyed the prequels...
Eli Mayer
I liked the prequels when I was a kid, but now that I'm 25 and have more developed tastes, after having rewatched them, I know exactly why everyone complains. Here's a really really short version of why:
-Characters aren't memorable, and the characters who are memorable are only memorable because they're references to who they become in the original series.
Kerrathlol No memorable characters? Obi-Wan was fantastic in the movies!
WANNA HEAR WHAT I THINK OF THE PREQUELS? Well I was a kid so I loved them and ya know what? I still do
124harryrr same
124harryrr I know right?! Awesome light saber fights, music characters…
124harryrr same here
we'll never get a scene this epic in the sequel trilogy, sorry prequel haters.
The Sequels suxz. long live awesome lightsaber fights, podracing, The Republic and The Jedi!!!
honestly this, i really like the prequels, especially revenge of the sith. last jedi could have gotten that atmosphere, but they fucked it up with bad writting, sjw bullshit and shitty jokes. i feel like kylo ren was the only serious character in the movie
Kylo ren? Serious? The two are black and white
he may be an edgy darth vader wannabe but i feel he was the only well written character, he has some, though very little development, which is basically resolving his internal conflict in order to kill snoke and try turn rey to the darkside as his apprentice. he isnt a maREY sue either, hes beaten buy rey in tfa, and those red guards in last jedi, and hes actually been trained by both luke and snoke.i dont like his character, but i feel its the only character theyve actually don well
Yeah no
My blue cat listened to this

We'll all drown
Shelby James
I will ehaculate if we listen to this in ep 7. I want to see a big fight
Sector is Clear...

Sounds like someone hasn't played the game.
Jimmy John I own it on CD, pay to win was so bad they turned off it's buyable loot boxes

Anton Jacquard I really doubt you're a fan then.....
Say what you like about the prequels but this score was amazing.
dimma_mp4
Empire Strikes Back is what happens when George Lucas isn't involved, actually
Kids bashing Lucas....so trendy...yawn
Boondock Taint It's true though, the head writer (I believe) for the originals quit before production of the prequels started because Lucas' ego made him believe that special effects were more important than storytelling and good writing, which is a large part of the reason why the prequels have terrible dialogue and a general lack of substance. However, I do believe this was mostly fixed by Episode 3 and that Disney has so far handled the latest movies very well.
2:59-3:01 Cyborg Jesus not your principal

My boi!!!
Somehow do a star wars related team and sweep with it please?
If you're interested I'll tell you my ideas.
Thank you John Williams.
Hobbes Tiger best composer ever
+Spirit and Music
Debatable. I personally prefer Howard Shore and Hans Zimmer over John Williams. But his work is no less iconic.
Definitely top five though.
+persianking44 Hans Zimmer doesn't make songs that work on their own as good. You can fucking sing these ad invoke the emotion from the movie in a way no other movie composer has done this consistently.
thank you Spike
+Hobbes Tiger he's a geneous

Tyler Harrison I know right? It's impossible to not hear it now. Its ruined. lol

Oh my god!!! 😂😂😂
+Michael Duddy I will never listen to this the same again.
When the deathsticks kick in.
You can put this over any fight and it will either be hilarious or epic there is no in between
or both
This better fucking play when fin meets Kylo in the snow to battle like the trailers keep showing
I think no music to that scene would be better. just the sound of clashing lightsabers. gives me chills thinking about it.
I think this song will play when the movie shows Kylo Ren's bodyguards
+KingCraze22 Star Wars without music isn't really Star Wars.
Thomas Lecoent Agreed
+Cain Jenkins I don't expect it to be a too epic fight. Kylo seems to be a pro and Finn is a beginner. But I wouldn't mind it, Luke didn't even fight with his saber in New Hope.
CORN ON THE COOOOOOOB.... COOOOOORN ON THE KEBAAAAAAB
OMG LOL
OMG LOL
+Destin Young This is amazing
+Destin Young lol
+Pinkierawr MLP: a game for cancerous fanboys who lose their shit if someone says bad stuff about it.
The prequels will always hold a special place in my heart. Epic lightsaber duels at it's best something this so called new starwars can't even comprehend. I'm not even sure you can call the new trilogy starwars films lol
Thomas Divelbiss and you can call a prequel hater a starwars fan all you want but he is still a little punk bitch lol
epic
Imagine this playing during Rey vs Kylo in Episode IX
Wi11iamson it'd be cool
Or during Rey X Kylo ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
yeah
My toaster listened to this.
He is now Ultron.
Hey its my third main
Genji my girlfriend asked why I kept a gun in my house. I told her "Decepticons". She laughed, I laughed, the toaster laughed, I shot the toaster, it was a good time.
Genji uh oh😳
Why the hell do you gave your toaster listen to this.
if u need something special Genji... just let me know
When my dad goes to sleep and leaves the TV controller on the couch. Then my brother and I look at controller at the same time. *Starts this song on the backgorund*.
lol
kennywarp looking straight in the yellow/orange hatred eyes. Who will win? Lmao
😀
Kind of hope there is a version of this in The Last Jedi.
IronNancy I’m disappointed too bro
Sweet Jesus. The greatest work, from the greatest master of film music ever.
Sure the prequels are flawed. But so far the music is 7 for 7. John "Ass-Kicker" Williams will never die.
Ass-Kicker lol
The prequels are far better then people make them out to be
+cjn6strings I personally love them. I just think there's some flaws.
Williams certainly did not let them down as far as music is concerned. This is the Jedi going to war against the Sith.
Hell yeah. How Williams managed to make such cool music from such shit films is beyond me.
Rey saves Ren
Episode9 ending...
Maul enters the room.
That would make one of the greatest plot twists of all time in a movie.
And then this music starts to play lol would be one of the most epic scenes ever in a movie lol
+Nigel Fletcher Which part, legs or torso?
+Oliver Kluge canon is that maul survived
+Nigel Fletcher Hobbling along, being 90 years old.
Best lightsaber duel in Star Wars
Darth Adraas it's not a duel though
Darth Adraas it's definitely up there but the best duel in star wars by far is Anakin vs Obi Wan
This one is a solid second due partly to this song
my proudest fap
soo funny
Make the Jedi proud. My padawan
How strong was the force
T-800doctors New world order If it takes you 4 minutes to nut, you might to practice holding it in
I thought I was the only dude to masterbate to Star Wars music
Probably the best thing that came from episode 1
The soundtrack in all three prequels is actually really good.
Properly the only good thing.
Austin Gross Tis an absolutely fab piece of music to be fair. The duel wasn't so bad either though. Darth Maul with a double blades lightsaber was just epic.
James Underwood Yeah I liked that too
I dare say the best thing that came out of Star Wars ever, at least for me.
Friend: I hate star wars!
Duel of fates intensifies
Lol
You just described my life
Friend: "I don't want to watch the movies! If there were books, maybe."
DotF intensifies
there are books
Darth Faker I know, but you need to watch the movies BEFORE the books.
Am I the only person that has actually liked all Star Wars movies even rouge one, I mean I always see people saying the prequels suck or the last Jedi sucked or rouge one was pointless but I never see anyone say, “they were all pretty good” so imma say it now, all Star Wars movies are pretty good
Mister Me
The prequels could have been better imo. However they had their merits (although the title of the second one could have been a LITTLE more original.)
The original trilogy was spectacular imo.
So it is very reasonable to see the empire get pushed back by them
Sean Miller
I’m not questioning the actual tactics (although that’s very interesting to learn, thanks for sharing!) what I meant was the weaponry... rocks and arrows versus the Empire’s armor.
May the Force be with you ☼
