I used this song in the final battle of my D&D campaign on a wizard epic battle on the top of a tower under the moonlight. You know, when the wizards meet, before that boss final speech, the song started with that epic tone. The wizards staring each other with the wind waving their robes. "Here we stand, Gaaf", said the evil boss, "At the end of your days" he completed. And the song increasing, can you feel it? And all that epic wizardry and explosions culminating with the collapsing tower at the end, killing both'em. Holy geez that was a great finale.
I guess I'm the only one who likes all 6 movies and can look past the shortcomings of all of them and just enjoy this wondrous universe that was created. It's fucking Star Wars! :D Edit: I kinda forgot I made this lol. But my sentiment is still the same, except now it's for the 9 main films and the two spin offs. The sequels are a welcome addition to the mythos in my view, they're all Star Wars to me.
+Matthew Bolton I dunno. The prequels were REALLY bad and liking them is alright, but if everyone had your mindset it'd really encourage incredibly lazy film making.
I honestly think they get hated on too much, of course they're not great, but there are plenty of other movies that are worse. I have my complaints, but I overall still like them. But just hating and not acknowledging the good and bad is hurtful to the industry as well. Also regarding the prequels, it's been almost 11 years since Ep. 3, I think it's time to move on from bashing them on nearly every Star Wars themed thing.

"It's just that all the better ones are all dead". Implying John Williams was on par with The Great Composers... That is a helluva compliment for an artist!
"Duel of the Fates," "Battle of the Heroes," "Across the Stars" (Anakin and Padme's Theme), and the Order 66 Theme (The theme that plays when Anakin Skywalker and the 501st Legion march to the Jedi Temple) are my favorite songs from Star Wars!
But there is always the slightest possibility that the official opening lyrics were "Corn On... The Cob..." And there is one part where they sound like they are singing "Hee Haw..."
*****...Inquisitors are a type of Sith which include Assassins Sorcerers, Alchemists, and others. They were also a branch of Assassin's set up during the first years of the Empire to seek knowledge of the Force. If you follow the Star Wars:The Old Republic versions of them, see this page for more info: starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sith_Inquisitor Also, Disney basically created a character, called it an Inquisitor, and ruined their image
The design and aesthetic of the prequels was great; the ships, vehicles, droids, music and presentation. You can tell Lucas had been thinking of it for a while and delivered it with care.
exiting the silence of meditation and slowly at first taking possession of your sword in a dimly lit practice room, hitting play and going through your free-form..
+daneocreepr I really enjoyed attack of the clones, whilst it is not my favourite one it has my favourite scene. The arena on Genosis with all the Jedi and the batte droids
The chorus section is actually a Celtic poem (only a few verses taken from it) written in Sanskrit, a very interesting choice for John Williams, very epic turnout for one of the greatest SW battles.
Vader may have been the Chosen One, which he was, and Luke may have been there to kill the Emperor, but Vader was still the one to kill Sidious. Starkiller defeated Vader twice but he failed to defeat Sidious, just like Luke did. Vader was always the Chosen One they just didn't have the patience.
TheCyber416 That's a rather simplistic way of putting it, go read the Darth Bane trilogy, it explains the concept of a Sith'ari - a being meant to bring balance to the Force. The Chosen One is a Jedi prophesy and a Sith'ari is a Sith prophesy for the same exact thing.
Dantaroen Im sorry but I have to agree with AlexIndependence, I'm afraid disney is going to make them far worse than the prequels and make them one) more aimed towards children and two) use them just for marketing aka the new light saber from a star wars standpoint is really silly but its great for marketing...
XxxicewookiebazingaXXX MLG Nothing in the trailer implied the film would be geared towards children. Those sixty seconds of footage alone were more enjoyable than the entirely of the Phantom Menace. And with Lawrence Kasdan (Empire Strikes Back) co-writing the script, I'm even more ecstatic. As for the new lightsaber, I don't see what the fuss is about. Crossguard lightsabers already existed in the old EU canon.
FA is flawed too bro. Stop complaining. Prequels had awesome scenes, duels and music. Every SW movie has its flaw and cheeze besides Empire its perfection. Don't tell me you don't think Ewoke a.k.a care bears didn't ruin Return of Jedi defeating Empire with damn sticks and stones and taking up almost 1/3rd of movie with them?
eurosensazion true but the prequels have too many flaws just re watch them and listen to the terrible writing and the overuse of the light sabres just look at the originals they only used the light sabres in dramatic fights. The force awakens does have flaws and? That movie doesn't have as many flaws of the prequels also I don't have the prequels I do enjoy them as I grew up watching them but i can still be cynical to things I like.
HiiPER MaaDMaan Re watch them a lot man. Tell you the truth I like em and OT. I can't stand FA it bores me. Just basing on what keeps me interested when watching and what puts me to sleep. I won't get into writing etc cause I can sit here all day lol. Prequels I grew up with as teen and what got me into Star Wars and watching OT, games, reading comics etc.
I think people forget why tge song is called the Duel of the fates. Qui-Gon and Maul were fighting for the fate of Anakin, and in turn, the fate if the galaxy…and Qui-Gon lost. If he had won, Anakin would have had the father figure he needed, not the brother he had in Obi Wan.
if you close your eyes, and stop thinking about how your life is hell, you can almost imagine the orchestra, chorus, and audience in your mind. 10/10 -youtube geek

La = taking
Dan = separate

*****...Inquisitors are a type of Sith which include Assassins Sorcerers, Alchemists, and others. They were also a branch of Assassin's set up during the first years of the Empire to seek knowledge of the Force. If you follow the Star Wars:The Old Republic versions of them, see this page for more info: starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sith_Inquisitor
Also, Disney basically created a character, called it an Inquisitor, and ruined their image
This piece of music will never not give me goosebumps...
Since Disney owns Star Wars now, I hope the Star Wars universe appears in a new Kingdom Hearts game with this song.
***** FF is just... way to fucking emotional.
love crossovers like this. gives me hope to see mickey and yoda or riku and X-23 together (since marvel and disney and all that), u kno?
unsigned int Use FFXV combat, it would SO work!
It’s a sin to hate this. The Jedi Council has spoken
My choir has to sing this for a concert. I've never seen any of the Star Wars movies, but this song is beautiful!
4 years late but how was the concert ?
4:05 is just beyond epic.. I have no words
No words can describe how epic this is!
Great job!
Is is my favourite star wars music. Best ever and perfect for the gym
What? They gym? lol.
@@soldier_6641 he's going to duel the people in the gym
The design and aesthetic of the prequels was great; the ships, vehicles, droids, music and presentation. You can tell Lucas had been thinking of it for a while and delivered it with care.

you have bacon?
honestly the prequels where actually really good
1st:Revenge of the Sith
2nd:The Phantom Menace
3rd:Attack of the Clones
Yeah they were
I don't like attack of the clones or phantom menace but revenge of the sith is a great movie.
+daneocreepr I really enjoyed attack of the clones, whilst it is not my favourite one it has my favourite scene. The arena on Genosis with all the Jedi and the batte droids
Yeah, my friend who has been a star wars fan for like 5 weeks scolds me for liking the prequels.
I enjoyed 1, it had its perks. I think 2 was awesome and I thought 3 was the best
The chorus section is actually a Celtic poem (only a few verses taken from it) written in Sanskrit, a very interesting choice for John Williams, very epic turnout for one of the greatest SW battles.
When you are playing D&D and you need to roll a 20. *MUSIC INTENSIFIES*
How does someone in the right state of mind dislike a song this epic?
When your teacher says they are going to collect the homework and you haven’t done it yet
sometimes i just play this song and close my eyes and then imagine jedi's vs sith's then sh#t goes down.
FINALLY! someone else who got it!
And then there is the wierd as hell Extended Universe version of the meaning of the chosen one.
TheGamingUmbreon TheGamingEspeon where is that from, i would like to see that
TheCyber416
That's a rather simplistic way of putting it, go read the Darth Bane trilogy, it explains the concept of a Sith'ari - a being meant to bring balance to the Force. The Chosen One is a Jedi prophesy and a Sith'ari is a Sith prophesy for the same exact thing.
I heard that Starkiller defeated Sidious and Sidious even offer his head but Starkiller did NOT take it.
Absolutly beautiful... Awesome editing!
When there is one beer left at the end of the party.
I wouldn't mind this being played in the new movie, if there is a duel in it.
the new movie trailer looks like shit... disney will totaly fuck it up -.-
AlexIndependence and what exactly looked like shit ?
AlexIndependence
they cant possibly fuck it up worse than george did ep 1 and 2
ep 3 was good though
Dantaroen
Im sorry but I have to agree with AlexIndependence, I'm afraid disney is going to make them far worse than the prequels and make them one) more aimed towards children and two) use them just for marketing aka the new light saber from a star wars standpoint is really silly but its great for marketing...

Same. Honestly, Lego star wars is what got me into star wars in the first place.

I hear "master" at certain parts of the song when its like "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH HUUAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH KEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
Morricone - Williams - Zimmer !

Little me believed to the last second that Anakin would never go to the dark side.
Little me cried hard.
Once more The Sith shall rule the Galaxy!!!!
And we shall have.....
Peace.
This song was used in Episode 1 during the fight between, Jedi Qui-Gon Jiin, Obi-Wan Kenobi & Sith Darth Maul.
one of the best things in star wars ever!
Say what you will, the soundtrack for each prequel movie was top-notch.
For all the flaws the prequels have they did give us some kick ass music and fight scenes
Prequels I grew up with as teen and what got me into Star Wars and watching OT, games, reading comics etc.
when i fight my brother for the front seat
mr death Same tho
I think people forget why tge song is called the Duel of the fates. Qui-Gon and Maul were fighting for the fate of Anakin, and in turn, the fate if the galaxy…and Qui-Gon lost. If he had won, Anakin would have had the father figure he needed, not the brother he had in Obi Wan.
Good God . . . Words cannot describe the perfection of both the score and the remix, it is just pure bliss. #awesomeness
Luke and Rey vs Sidious in Episode 9. Then Anakin's force ghost shows up and finishes the fight like he did in Episode 6.
