Singer BZ 10-8: Wire in a New Foot Controller

- Viewer Laura sent me her motor and controller from her Singer 66 for a rewire and controller upgrade. I used a modern electronic controller as the basis for the conversion, but extended the wiring to give her a lot more reach. Here is the result.
EDIT: The wiring diagram is here:

Bob, thank you for the inspiration to move towards crimp connectors, instead of wire nuts.
Thanks Bob! Always wondered how to handle that wire restraint on those controllers. Going back to one I used on a Neechi that came with some chincy wire. Very helpful!
Just rewired my first foot controller, thanks Bob! Hope all is well.
Hey Bob, I think I can use this video as a guide for the singer 66 I’m working on. I’m not adding the lamp back to the motor. It was all dry rotted. You make it look easy, but I’ll find out soon enough…lol. Even if I can’t figure it out, it’ll be some experience for me. Thanks for this video.
Cool! I forgot all about this video! Keep me posted...
Great video Bob. First I have seen that factory strain relief could be removed!
Great job!!!
I remember it as: wibbed, newtwal, wide
Hahahahahahahaha! Silly Wabbit!
Okay, I have learned so much from your videos!!! However, in cleaning my recent motor BZ 10-8, a small nut came off from somewhere and I don't know where its from??? Do you have a Diagram of the motor for this model? Please help--lol tia
Where can I get an *identical* BZ 10-8 motor? I've taken my motor apart three times and it has zero torque to turn the handwheel. I've seen other motors but I just can find a compatible replacement.
Do you have a wiring diagram for this set up? I'm finding it a bit hard to see which wire goes where.
I put up a wiring diagram on my site: bobsvsmservice.com/wiring-diagram/
@@BobFowlerWorkshop Thank you!
Thank you for this Bob! I know I am going to need to do this at some point and have been wondering how. Now I know!
