Thank you!! I was pissed when it was gone all of sudden. Thank you for making this video!
i had it on my computer and changed my settings but i want to change it back as it limits my frames too much. how do i do that?
Thankyou so much bro. These settings randomly disappeared on my laptop when they used to be there. You were the only vid that i could find on this. Since its a really specific problem i couldnt find help for it tysm
but what does "max processor state" do? and what should we have it set on? Mine was on 100% (min and max)--- but my PC keeps randomly resetting. So what does this function actually do? and what should I set it to? I have amd 8 core 8320. and temps would only go up to 45c at the highest--- is that even high? I can't figure out why it randomly resets and it's getting frustrating. I dropped the max/min state both down to 5% (as I was told on another page)---- but I'm not sure what that is actually doing.
hi i have a asus amd laptop the base fhz is 1700 fhz and the temperatures are fine on this fhz , but if i want a little more of performance it goes all the way to 3700fhz and the temperatures are reallly high on this one . is ther e any way that i can get about 2500 fhz like in the midle (1700 with 99% maximum performace in battery and 3700 with 100% )
How about the - (processor performance boost mode) ? is there a command to add it in power plan? please help
my current plan is set for 80, but now I cant see it, so does it mean that its still on 80 ?
I tried this so many times can someone please tell me why it won’t work and why I can’t get itbsck
my laptop doesn't have processor power management. So what should I do to get that back?
The max processor state option constantly removes itself after re-installing it for some reason and it sucks and its frustrating.
OPTION 3 of how to open cmd as administrator:
1.Open Run or Just press the windows button and the "R" Button at the same time
2.type cmd and press ctrl+shift+enter
I hope it works
bro please help me cause i cant set it 99 or something else it stucks 100
in my case, limiting cpu power doesnt help so i need to use another way. please help
Hi, I don't have processor power management and it's three contents... Could you help to add it ?
I solved this by going into BIOS (F2) and choosing load optimised defaults.
You may also need to disable in BIOS any CPU power controls that say, 'Overdrive', 'precision boost' or 'allow cpu to run at higher frequency when below power..etc'
I can't see processor power management in advanced setting, I watch a lot of videos but nothing is happen. i need to cool down my laptop pleaseeee helppp
this actually works, thank you so much
i get Maximum processor frequency how can i fix
What happens if u remove it?
For some reason this is not working for me. I am using HP Spectre X360. Can you please help me?
i have that same cpu and my frequency is stuck at 2.3ghz
Thanks! btw Dead frontier 2 has updates again! now more fun!
Mine didn't work it said, "is not recognizable as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file" 😔
option has appered but processor is ingnoring it. Any idea?
I just write that script in the cmd and it doesnt work. Any ideas whats going wrong??
FUCKING CRAZY DUDE. THESE JUST DISAPPEARED FROM MY LAPTOP AND MY TEMPS WERE CRAZY HOT. THANKS MAN. THIS HELPED A LOTT.
I really don't understand about the Max Processor State. Sometimes my laptop feels warm. My settings for battery and plugged in are both set at 100%. Should I change these? If so, why? And what should I change them to? I usually use the laptop plugged in. Thanks in advance for your reply!!
no reply rip
Change to 95 then no overheat at all even tho I have i7
Hlo, can anyone assist me?
I got new laptop( rog zephyrus m15)
And it gets 95+ temp so i got to know that changing from 100 to 99 fix it
But i dont have processor power management there even after this video, help me.
Very useful! thanks!!
I tried but can't turn it on, even I used to find it at the regedit
I pressed reset in default settings and boom! Its gone. Its fixed now, thanks.
Can u tell me what u actually did plz help me
I dont have processor power management at all?? does anyone know how to get it? my fan is so bloody noisy
hey nice video, however can u plz share some light on the Topic, Processor Power Management, under this can we reduce the Maximum Processor state to 70% from 100%, coz it reduces the heat but i am not sure whether it causes any issue to prcoessor or mother board, so just advise me whether its ok to bring it to 70%.
its ok, minimum state is 5%
Thanks a ton!
Did not work. Am I missing something. After I did all that and hit 'Enter', I went back into power options & the option was still not there...no processor power management drop-down at all
Thanks bro it's worked thank you
Not sure why on my latest build this doesn't work.
now windows 10 2004 has remove cs enabled and offers virtually no advanced power options its a nightmare... i've just rolled back .. 2004 update is terrible. will this method work with 2004 update as i will upgrade again if it does?
let me know if it does work.
Hello, it is me again. I am afraid that Windows has patched this. I really did it step by step, but nothing changes. Only the System Cooling policy is there.
It says something is not recognised idk pls help
Omg amazing... Thank you
I did all of this correctly, I’m hoping you can respond and help me
nice video man! I only have one issue, the max processor state option removes itself when i restart the computer:/

2. Go boot and go Advanced Options.
3. Press on Numbers of Processors and make it 1 then uncheck the option and finally restart your pc.

Guys if it is not working just go to msconfig and turn of maximum processors and restart your computer
Somehow it doesn't work for me and I am sure that I did everything right. there must be something missing, maybe another step. I am using a laptop, it might be because of that.
same
it didnt work for me
when i click enter literally nothing happened..
it still don't work
It didn't work.
OPTION 3 of how to open cmd as administrator:1.Open Run or Just press the windows button and the "R" Button at the same time2.type cmd and press ctrl+shift+enterI hope it worksfor you
My cpu temperature was use to be 80 to 90 degree when gaming until I change the Max processors state setting from 100 to 99 and the temperature drop to 70-75 it won't even go up to 80 degree while gaming and you won't even notice the performance drop
Good to hear brotha!
did you had any negative effects at the long run? Im thinking of doing this but I dont know how safe it could be
@@davidva8028 been doing it for years but the problem that I found is that there is a performance drop when gaming but the temperature doesn't go beyond 80 unless am playing for 3-4 hour and it will go up to 85-88 but never go 90 and yes it's safe
@@adamd1327 Seems ok then. Thanks!
@@adamd1327 bro what exactly do mean by performance drop?
I have temps going 90-93 degrees when gaming and it causes frame drops in games, and I want to try this solution.
Hey mate, not working :(
is there a way to permanent keep the maximum processor state at a certain percentage? I wanted to set it to 85%
but when I plug in my charger it automatically gets set to 100% which I don't want because it causes overheating while
gaming and overheating causes fps drops
When you plug it in, your settings auto change from on battery mode to plugged in. Just change the max processor setting while plugged in.
I play a lot of games and because of this my laptop doesn't overheat. But when I open WoW game, after 4 sec my laptop shut down. Can you help me about this?
Follow the instructions of the video embedded in this video, starting with downloading Coretemp and asking yourself the question: what is my exact computer temperature before it shuts down.
I set the maximum to 99 do I get more fps now in games?
You might! - If your fps was being throttled by heat!
@@GuyGirlGaming can u tell me the code for the command prompt thing i cant read it
Will this work on PC?
Desktop you mean? Of course. It works on Windows systems!
Does it decrease the performance level of the laptop or just the laptop temperature?
It all depends on how cpu intensive the program you are running is. You are decreasing your max power in order to decrease temperature.
@@GuyGirlGaming Thank you!
it not working
thank you,but i had to figure out myself how to change the values
Just click on max processor state where that guy shown how to get there...then set the value whatever you want to and if you want to use max power state all the time then set min power state value to 100.
did not work
don't work
Didn't work ;/
Not Work Plis help me WhY
Same
doesn't work, windows 10
dont work
boom
it didn't work
hasnt been fixed :/
You restarted the computer and it's not there? This fix should definitely work if the processor states were removed because of a windows update or something equivalent.
@@GuyGirlGaming thank you its there now, and i also found another way in the game itself but thank you anyway, helped a lot ;)
@@GuyGirlGaming also 60% is too low for me so what do you recommend for a bit better performance?
@@l1t244 Good to hear you got it fixed. I have my entry level gaming laptop set to 95%. I usually start around there and decrease it based on the temperatures given by Coretemp while gaming. It's really a unique process so I can't say for sure but anywhere between 99% and say 70% is your goal.
@@GuyGirlGaming thank you very much, u just earned yourself a sub ;)
Roman Reigns ;p
It still doesn’t work
Dont know if you r still searching but i got a real fix cause this wasnt working for me too
Thanks heaps!
didn't work for me
