You look gorgeous. These loose waves look sophisticated. It’s giving Laura Harrier vibes 😍

If you go back to Arizona stylist, just tell her a tighter curl. You want it to last. I'm overdo for my second retouch. Will go in December. I love it when it's tighter. I just hate those first 3 days.

    So soo pretty girl 🥰❤️
Please can you make a video of how you refresh your curls between wash days.. do you comb it everyday?
Also, what happens when you wear it in a bun? Does it go straight. I’m work in healthcare so would need wear buns for at least 12hrs daily. Any advice please?

Thanks girl 😁 I'll do that for my 2 month update for sure! Wearing the hair stretched out in a bun often will probably loosen the curls quicker to be honest. And I do not comb the hair everyday. I only use a big comb, and that's when I'm detangling the hair with conditioner on a wash day.

Would you recommend the az salon for the 1st Gina curl since they gave you more of a wave than a curl? Have you went back and received the same wave result?

I would actually recommend the AZ salon! (Especially if you like a sleeker look.) I just got my 4th Gina Curl earlier this month from her and it's definitely curlier than my 3rd, but still sleek. (ua-cam.com/video/dEqpJx6w7AM/v-deo.html)
With my first 2 Gina Curls, I had more of a fro of curls. However I think in general, for anyone getting a Gina Curl you need to use tighter rods in your retouches as your curls loosen over time. This is what I'm told contributed to my hair being less curly over time.

What size rollers did they use? Did they do a straight variation? Anything different on what they did in AZ vs CT salon?

They used grey & pink. This isn't the straight variation, although it does look close. I was told that as a repeat Gina Curl client, I may need to use tighter rods to get the same effect I use to get. But like you said, what it looks like seems to vary by person, location, etc.

Did you ask for a loose curl pattern/big roller set??
I’m doing a Ginacurl in a week and I’m still skeptical.
Hopefully it won’t be wavy/straight after a few month/years because that’s not what I’m looking for with a ginaCURL especially with these kind of prices 😅!
You look good though, not just the hair ❤

I didn't ask for a looser curl. I also used the same rods as my previous Gina Curls (pink and grey). As far as getting you first Gina Curl, it is a style that requires regular touch ups as the curls will loosen over time between touch ups regardless. But yeah girl, it's definitely a pricey service so I understand. This time around was a different salon and different result compared to the first 2 Gina Curls I received from Hair's Talent salon in Connecticut.

have you used any oil for growth? If so, which ones?

    • @itzliSh
      @itzliSh  Рік тому

No, I don't use any hair growth oil

Ahh okay. So you wanted looser curls. Your hair has grown a lot in that short time. It seems everyone’s results vary broadly. Just trying to figure out what’s consistent. I was looking at the shorts on their channel and some have super curly hair, but others don’t and the rollers are the same. Just wondering if hair type, porosity, texture, etc makes a difference in how the curls come out. That would be my fear is because my hair grows so fast my new growth maintenance would be a nightmare. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Not necessarily. I went in using the same color rods I always use: grey and pink. So I'm not sure why my hair came out so much looser this time. I do like it a lot, but this look wasn't intentional.
