  • Bank fishing for bass is one of the best times you will ever have. No matter if you are just starting to fish or you have been fishing all of your life, there is just something so fun about bank fishing for bass.
    BASS HAT: finnfishing.co...

Focusing on irregularities when bank fishing can help you to start catching bass quicker than wasting time fishing around the entire lake or pond.
One thing you always want to try and do is get to where other people can't get too, this will also increase your chance at catching more bass.
Also, make sure you fish laydown trees at the right angle so you don't lose so many lures.
BassFishingHQ is dedicated to teaching people how to catch more and bigger bass. I will go over different bass fishing tips & techniques that will put more fish in the boat or on the shore. Whether you are just starting out or a seasoned tournament angler, my goal is to help you catch more bass.

This is probably the simplest, most effective breakdown I’ve seen of how to catch big bass from the bank in public waters that contain structure. I’ve caught more big bass from the bank pitching a jig to lay downs than any other method. I lost a lot of jigs learning what angles to pitch from 🤣

Take advantage of being able to get up before sunrise on just a few hours sleep while you can boys- once you hit about 50 that becomes the hardest part about fishing. I live in Alabama where it gets super hot so, once it hits July you are about wasting your time if you don't fish mornings and/or late evenings- and that late evening window is gonna be covered up with ppl- no one wants to get up unless they have to. So- that leaves mornings- and I used to fish every single one of them- everyday, but for some reason that started changing. It got where it didn't matter how early I go to bed or how often, I still can't hardly get up before 7-8 o'clock. If I force myself I literally get sick. Ppl can laugh and I'm sure some of you will read this and think "Well, not me, I'm dedicated." LOL_ Just wait, it's coming.

@@riclindsey329 I love it- there's something about being out there when the world wakes up that's indescribable. Its super hard for me to do now but, I still pull it off 2-3 times a week. I used to do it every day, without fail- whether permitting- loved every second of it. Ppl look at the pictures I took out on the water and ask if I took them in exotic places- it's right here where we live, they just never get up and see the birds and if they do they never do so from the perspective of being on the water's surface with them- it's amazing.

What ducks for me is bass fishing has been my dream and passion and I've always wanted to go pro since I was 3 I'm now 14 and still loving it more than ever I just recently was cut off from my great grandpa wich is the one I've always fished with and the one who taught me everything I know and he also was my boat and tournament buddy but we can't do that now do to some drama between my whole family and my mom so I've gotten done with the crying but not done with fishing I'm gonna fish until I make it to the big league and then I'm gonna keep on fishing but the problem is that my home pond and the only one within walking distance and the only place in my town that holds fish doesn't have bass only channels and green sunfish so I can't go catch bass as much as I used to but I'm hoping we move to Florida because my parents are looking at houses there so I'm hoping to bass fish there even though it will be completely different bc even though I've been to Florida and different states and even the Caribbeans I've only ever fished it texas much less bass fished so it will be hard in the beginning but I'm gonna learn so yup that's my story hope yall have an amazing day/week/ year

Hey, Bass buster. Don't let family Drama stop you from bass fishing. Maybe it's time to come into your own. My Father taught me to fish. He took me every where in a 16 ft V bottom aluminum boat. I was really young but I watched him bass fish. He used Baitcaster's to fish with. But he was mad at that baitcaster for not working like it should. He would rant and rave for hours using the baitcaster. I didn't start using a baitcaster reel. Till I was 59 years old. Because I thought if I used one. I would act like he did. Finally my fishing buddy got me to switch from Spinning rod and reel"s to a baitcaster combo. I just love the baitcaster now. I changed the way I fish. Set goals. To be the best bank fisherman I could be. I got pass the drama of others. Became a really positive fisherman. I have caught more fish in the last three years than ever before. I encourage you to watch Gerald Swindle on PMA Positive Mental Additude. It will change your thinking on your whole life. I don't rant and rave. I take bad situations and turn them into good. Please don't let others ruin something you like to do! Become your own Man. In everyday. Learn from your Grandfather and then build it your way. Go fishing it will keep you out of trouble too. Hope this helps you in your life journey. Shawn.

Looking for "irregularities" is fine but the reality is bass can still be anywhere. There can be deep holes, humps, submerged weeds, logs, rocks, etc. on the bottom anywhere which you can't see that bass (including the largest) can be relating to. This is precisely why you fan cast EVERYWHERE when fishing ponds. Don't over-think or over-analyze, choose some spots and dismiss others. Do this and you're breaking the golden rule of successful fishing which is Cover More Water.
Spinning set-ups are often better than baitcasters when dealing with trees and brush as you can cast (toss) sideways much easier and with one hand while using your other to grasp limbs and balance.
Also, waders (boots, hip, or chest) allow you to get in the water and past obstructions for easier and farther casts to more places.
