In my experience, all those Z-71 packages aren't always cracked up to what they should be. I bought a new 2017 Silverado LTZ with a Z-71 package. When I crawled under the truck to do my first oil change, I found that the engine shield is made out of "plastic." My previous 2003 Silverado with a Z-71 package had a metal shield. Now Ford is putting plastic oil and transmissions pans on their Mustang GTs and Shelbys. It's not enough to walk around and test drive a vehicle today. If you want no surprises, you better crawl under it too.
You should speak on the cost of a chrome delete wether paint or wrap. To compare RST cost over LT. Being that one of the main differences is the chrome delete.

That lacks so much logic. How can you sell a truck and say nothing has been done to it because the dealership facilitated it for you. The same works has been done. When it comes to reselling it still modified. Paying a $4k premium just for the sake of telling your potential buyer that the dealership had it done is not going matter at all
Just remember that you’re paying so much cuz you’re keeping factory warranty with the 10k lift it’s outrageous cuz we use the same exact lift set up on our sierras and dealership cost is about 4500$ But when you buy it from us lifted absolutely no issue with warranty
He did say he called the authorized dealership installers that will cover the factory warranties if the dealership denies you. So.... unless you going to a tire shop to install a lift kit, you should be fine.
I think "Should you buy a lifted truck from the dealership" is kind of an oversimplified question. For the 6" Pro-Comp/Fuel Wheels trucks you showcased in this video? No, absolutely not. They are essentially charging you $10k for about $6k worth of parts and labor. There are much higher quality and higher feature lift kits available than that basic Pro-Comp setup, and you can have any reputable shop install it and come in overall cheaper than these "off the floor" lifted trucks. The kits themselves cost more, yes, but they are designed better overall. Now, on the flip side, there are "factory lifted" trucks, at least from GM. The Trail Boss/AT4 trucks are lifted 2" over the "standard" Silverado/Sierra. That's also the suspension you had put in your truck if memory serves me correctly. That's an inexpensive setup designed BY Rancho for those trucks. If you're looking for something with just a bit more clearance for some larger wheels/tires, but don't want to sacrifice some of the function a super-high truck would give you, you really can't go wrong with that setup from GM.
and they also don't give you stock parts or even credit you for their value......you can fetch about $1500 for stock wheel setup new right off the truck....so deduct that from your lift and wheel setup if you do it yourself
if you wanna pay dbl what you can have done yourself than go ahead.....think their about 10k @ dealers Z71 is not a trim pkg, its an accessory to any model

The side steps are more like $750/$800 installed. But if you bought them with the lift, they might give you a better deal.
