    Most people view twitch in a wrong way making them stream to very low numbers forever. I have noticed an issue where most twitch streamers are struggling to grow on twitch. The fault may not be on them though. Twitch itself could be the issue. Most people do not realize but Twitch is not a growth platform. By this I mean that I view twitch similar to a platform like Patreon, In that people on patreon would never discover my patreon without me telling them about it. This is exactly how twitch is. Twitch has three main issues when it comes to the platform and really confuses people on how to grow on twitch or how to get more followers on twitch. The three issues are the lack of any algorithms, lack of discoverability, and way too much oversaturation. Some of these issues can be fixed by figuring out the best games to stream on twitch, or how to find unsaturated games on twitch. The lack of algorithms though really makes is so you have to create content on platforms that have more discoverability. This video has content that is similar to Alpha Gaming , Ashnichrist , Gaming Careers, and Nutty.

    I've clicked on thumbnails a few times from the front page, but I've rarely ever gone back to those channels. several streamers that I know have grown on Twitch by buying ads on UA-cam, Twitter, and Instagram.
    It's an expensive way to grow though.
    Personally, I've hit a plateau and would love some advice on how to start climbing again. I have a small community of people who have been supporting me for quite awhile, but upwards growth is small and very slow. It's a bit disheartening, especially since I've been putting a lot of effort in to improving what I do.

      I have not done any ads for twitch myself so I couldnt say how well it would work, would be interested in the data though. Might have to do and and see so I can make a video about it.
      Are you created content on other platforms not just twitch?

      @@RyTechGaming I release weekly videos on UA-cam, but the content is all over the place. One week it'll be clip compilations, another week it'll be a game review, another week it'll be a "how to" vid.
      The reason for this is because I'm limited as to what I can do during the day as my partner works at home and is often in meetings and my son is doing school from home because of the UK lockdown, so needs things to be quiet. Because of this I can't make videos with me talking, so I'll record myself playing games with no voice over, then do the voice over during a live stream later, and finally edit that video and upload to YT.
      I'm doing what I can, but it's frustrating because I know I should be doing more and doing it better. I just don't know what to do.

    I dont think this is true.. its all about consistency and using the algorithm for me I mean like I dont mean to sound rude.. or anything just an opinion. I started my twitch 6 months ago playing games where the viewer count isn't insanely high so getting to top row u would only need 20 concurrent viewers.... Good thing was when the bigger streamer on the category was going off the viewers would leave or raid others I would be getting people coming. I grown my channel to 1136 followers and started to build a community that will watch me play games with the higher viewer count think that's how the algorithm works

    • @RyTechGaming
      @RyTechGaming  3 роки тому

      You were smart with unsaturated categories. I mentiom this is the videos that there are things that can help. But twitch basically has no discoverability algorithm.

  • @Mulcam29

    Actually growing on Twitch isn't a lie or impossible. You grow yourself on Twitch. I've seen people grow on Twitch over the years.
    It's a give and take like any other platform. They do have algorithms though.

    • @RyTechGaming
      @RyTechGaming  3 роки тому +2

      I assume by your comment you didn't watch the video lol. Yeah its always possible to grow, but with twitch the best way is to gather an audience from other much more discoverable platforms.

    • @Mulcam29
      @Mulcam29 3 роки тому

      Honestly thank you for the like. I feel as if as streamers we have created our algorithms in a way. Those who have had the best interactions stay on top till someone with better charisma comes in.
      Twitch is about interaction and having fun. If we can't let ourselves have fun, then we don't game and after a while probably lose any progress we made.

    • @RyTechGaming
      @RyTechGaming  3 роки тому

      Oh yeah I 100% agree. The purpose of the video was less about explaining that twitch growth is impossible and more trying to help the people struggling to see growth and have them shift thier perception of twitch as a platform.
