Not a fan of the yeti. And the wave three is mentioned with the wave 1, just for the price between the 2 the 1 is the better deal.

I've got the Shure MV7. It's great, but I've noticed that there is basically no difference between XLR and USB. Which is great for those using as USB, but it's not a great XLR mic. Also the pop filter is a joke. I had to put an additional pop filter on.

The xlr just gives you more control, so through a mixer ylu can make it sound better. Though with some good mixing software you could get the same or quite similar results with usb.

There are definitely better sounding XLR only mics for the same price, but considering the utility you get both usb and XLR built in, i think the price is still fair.
