Not sure what I enjoy more, seeing your gardens, or hearing you talk about your gardens.
😀 Both
Well said
"Pinker than you think. Or some stupid name like that."😆😆😆 I have a couple morning glories called Blue My Mind.
Both feathery astilbes and your videos 'tickle me pink' ☺️
Ive caught the bug! Ive brought 18 plants purely based on your videos to try in my garden, very excited, so appreciative of your extensive knowledge and the irish climate example. Thank you John! and camera professonardo David 😊
Looks wonderfully lush and well watered. Must be all that Irish rain.
It is, cause he doesn't water at all!
"We just put a few things here and a few things there". Ahahahaha! It's absolutely beautiful and it's wonderful to see you so excited about it all, John Lord.
Love all your videos ! And your enthusiasm 😁
I have that same feeling when someone compliments my garden!
I’m like, “yeah, I did that!” But really it’s the plants doing all the work!
Great garden tour...
My new garden Guru, love ya ta bits
How about “Rinky dink pink” for the astilbe..lol. I’m planning on making a new border for next year, and adding to some older ones....started making “want” lists and notes from your videos so thank you to you and the “camera crew” for all your hard work and info. 👍
Beautiful. Really well planned for colour. I'm jealous of how big your blue hydrangea is.
Gardens look wonderful & you're a joy to watch!
What a beautiful garden you have this year, unfortunately for me, the storms on our Welsh Coast have nearly bought my garden to an early finish, I just hope it can come again. So envious of yours
Love , love your podcast! Beautiful garden!!💕👏👏👩🌾
,
My astilbe looks different than yours, John! They’re brown....and crunchy. It’s the variety. Called....hot as hell in the American south, John! I don’t blame you and your great weather. I blame....the plant! I would love another trip to Ireland...it invigorated my soul.
Pinker than ya think 😂, go for it!
Now that Cannabis is legal in Canada, it's not something you get in trouble for talking about here. Haha
I liked "Paul's Best Yellow" Crocosmia and the dwarf red variety as well.
Acanthus is a neat genus. I bought my grandma an A. mollis this year for Mother's Day, but I like the thiner foliage of the A. spinosus you showed a little more...but she's always wanted a Bear's Breeches so she's happy either way. :)
Beautiful! Love the hydrangea limelight I can't conceive pulling all the weeds
👏 beautifull !
I love it! Thank you!
so addicted to these videos
And finally.........we have a lovely purple agastache - makes the bees insane.
Really enjoyed this update. Think the bamboo is out for world 🗺 domination. Note 📝 to self add crocosmia to the landscape. Have a great week!
I'm not so sure your not smoking some home grown hyper cannabis! Lots of energy, Gorgeous Garden, darling dog!!
Gina Friend I hope so
Lolll
Dear John, please I love grasses interplantings, you had some in this video, need to know what they are, thank you xx
Hi John!, Love looking at your gardens. I have many deer and love seeing what I can’t have. Your gardens are on such a large scale, and though though have plenty of land, I am too old to attempt that scale. I sure wish I could visit and walk through it! Was the pretty purple spikey thing beside the pampas grass Agastache?
I love waking up to a new John Lord video! :D
Diva Warrior
A new gardener ? 😀
Herrenhausen is my favourite marjoram.
How long does the oregano bloom for you?
8.21 In Greece we have it grown in the wild but what it does it shoots its seeds, ahahah
John could you tell me how to tackle vine weevle or if anyone has good advice on how to tackle this awful pest 😩
You don't have any Hibiscus syriacus? Should work well in Ireland, good for late summer flowers.
They don’t like our cool summers.
@@johnlordssecretgarden They grow very well in Flanders in the north of Belgium, I thought Ireland must be similar in climate.
I have a question for John and all of you. I've been a DIY backyard gardener for 50 years, and although I don't have John's encyclopedic knowledge of plants, I do have a great sense of scale, color and design. I can look at a spot in the garden and imagine the height, foliage, and color of the plant I want. But, how do I translate that into an actual plant in a nursery. I can't find a nurseryman nearby who can give me suggestions based on a description as simple as: "an 18" high perennial for a sunny location, with more foliage than flowers, preferably in the blue family that blooms at least in mid-summer."
I love cannabis
Clay soil - like in MEdi terra nean
God ure a lift this time f the year -dec 2022 uh!
Interesting that he won’t deal with plants that have to be staked. If they flop they’re out!
Gorgeous garden! One tip is to buy a camera stabiliser so that when the person who is recording has the camera suspended in a floating position in this device, which means we don't get shaky footage.
Yes. Then John would be the only shaky thing.
Pinker than ya tink
