    So im designing my first car with rhino, I used it mostly as a building modeling software, and I made the mistake of modeling a mustang gt 2020. When I compare it to your car, I see that modern cars have way more curves and it gets pretty hard to do the box thing for me, but again, its my first time. I do enjoy the challenge tho and i'm learning a whole lot of things that university never told me so thanks a lot !

    Sir please what really is the difference between 1/64th scale car design and real size car design? Isn't it same curves and angles all over?

    • @Rhinoceros3d
      @Rhinoceros3d  10 місяців тому +1

      seems like it should be, but the proportions are vastly different. The wheels and wheel arches on a 64th scale car would be comically large if scaled to full size, door cuts etc all have to be exaggerated as well as subtleties in surfacing have to be boosted in order to read correctly at that scale. The center profile is typically very similar, but that's where the similarity ends. "Looking right" is more important the "being right" in scale car design.
      That said, as the scale gets larger, the proportions get closer to the real car.

    I'm studing Rhino from a few days; I want to make a replica of the Mazda LM55 ; is it better to model such a complex car using nurbs or sub-d ?

    • @Rhinoceros3d
      @Rhinoceros3d  9 місяців тому

      no such thing as a dumb question... the answer is, depends on what you are doing with the model... for concept and early form finding models I love subd. They are great for rendering too.
      if I'm making a real car, I'd use Nurbs for a number f reasons, the main one is compatibility with engineering and tooling software.
