Good to see everyone and catch up! Had a great time and probably too much to drink. But Carlo signed my book so all good!! Some serious collectors that I only met for the first time there too. Love the Stone Island scene!! Look forward to the next one. Well played Hox!!
Went off high end clothing about 3 years ago, when prices started going crazy. I though what was I doing ‘wasting my money’ on this stuff. seeing videos like this, I kind of miss it. I miss having a rare piece or talking to others collectors who share the same passion as you, glad you made this video hox.
I think the key is it is nice to have a few nice start peices no doubt, but I'm like you really enjoyed the peices at the event but as a whole the designer market has really disappointed due to the price increases.
Nicely captured! Hox! Was good catching up and putting some names to faces - Always a good thing - even though my memory is terrible I always forget who's who LOL Some beautiful pieces on show ❤🔥✅
The good thing is majority of the collectors wear the jackets/clothing they buy and enjoy them (so they should considering how much some pieces cost and hard earned money goes on them they dont deserve to be stuck in a wardrobe unseen) compared to the footwear guys they sit in a box until its time to sell up the job lot and never see the pavement. Really enjoyed the video 👍🏼
Good video. FC was hip BITD for those who didn’t want Next or anything from the Burton group! Some serious disposable income still around! Funny you mention Pepe (jeans, the brand…) as they have been around longer than most! Now owned by a Spanish holding, and going strong in Europe). I remember the vision of Massimo Osti and how CP Company to create something nobody could match, just like Fiorucci with their waterproofing gear for the fishing industry, yes! Engineered garments with unusual fabrics was norm in the beginning Overpriced stuff today thanks to Moncler, the parent company and creative direction. I’m coming from the early 1980s before the football terraces saw fans getting into this gear. I was in menswear inn the West End when guys looked individual back then. I would invest in this if i went back in time but I am a vinyl junkie and the wife would be up in arms dancing!
I used to run the Animal store on Carnaby street in 2007. Carnaby was the place to be then. It’s now the Levi’s store. Carnaby and kingly court were great places and a bar in golden square called the Midas touch. Stoneisland old store on Beak street was a nice store too. Great times. Before I moved to Norway. Sadly now it seems more like a destination for tourists to see the funky lights. 😂
I thought it was more common NOT wear the Stone Island badge on the arm? Also, surprised no one was rocking the latest Supreme collab bomber at the function, with the detachable hood. Great video, by the way!
Only few people do not wear the badge to be honest, the supreme x stone island collection is more popular with the younger generation bar the helicopter pieces of course.
years ago .....stone island/ cp company coats Where brilliant, beautifully made , unusual fabric , etc.. Hoxton ? can u visit that guy in queue collection ? hah 😮

I was thinking that at the event, it was great that it brought people together though, the passion was obvious.
Superb vlog, that was one of the best Stone Island videos I've ever watched, loved seeing so many of the rare jackets being worn and not on a hanger.
👏

Stone Island is very nice don't get me wrong but I personally think Plurimus is better.
Lots of people enjoying Plurimus and Ten C to be fair.
