It's because everyone kept bragging about beating TTFAF and then everyone became a huge fan of Disturbed after playing Stricken. Damn you Guitar Hero!

i'm talking about events that happened a year before guitar hero 3... everything i said just went over your head. guitar hero helped, but they were famous even before then.

the exact name is a dean razorback 255 7 string when i first heard shogun this became my new dream guitar becuase its at a fair price and it has 7 strings

As for DragonForce... the only reason they sound the same, is because almost all of their songs are in the same key.

no, they got famous when their single through the fire and flames got around. that's back in 2006. people thought they were good because they were fast, wore dragonforce shirts, played ttfaf on mixed cds, compared them to every power metal band on youtube, etc.

ok regardless the fact that this video being commented on is my alltime favorite band, trivium, id have to disagree with you kids and your guitar hero. dragonforce plays their instruments just like every other band. they sound good live, and there songs arent the same. each song tells a story, and even tho the playing of each song may sound the same, if you ever actually took the 8 minutes to listen to each song, they are very very different than the one before it, dragonforce does not suck
it looks like matts hand is on like some really fast going hyper steriods be cause its jumping all over the place.
but man, he is an awesome guitar player.

a 7 string guitar has another string tuned down to B. so its B E A D G B E
here is what i say...corey knows more and probably has more training...but matts solos are still awsome because instead of technique they have more feel

There was a lot of hype on the album so there would've been a large amount of sales, doesn't mean the album was good or bad...
they were dean but now they are with gibson but he doesnt have a signiture gibson he just has some custom built 7 string les paul or sumthin

are you playing bass? I`m playing. OK paolo isn`t playing the most difficult but, take a look at the notse. there are some pasages where he is playing some cool riffs ^^
They're not with Dean anymore.

Because Corey can't get hold of a 7 string Jackson (Not sure if they make em lol), He uses his 7 String CBV on stage, but he's taped over the logo so it doesnt advertise Dean LOL!
Look on Dean's website. They haven't got their signatures up BEACUASE THEY AINT ENDORSED!
And thats why it's harder to get hold of an MKH or CBV now.

@1alecxg ok first of all what you are calling "triplets" arent actually triplets. triplets are when there are 3 notes per beat (instead of tapping out a beat of 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 its 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3). but if you are right, matt is playing 3 notes in quick sucession. and to be honest, it only looks like he plays a gallop (the 3 note thing) every few seconds. each on only involves one upstoke. so the majority of it is still downpicking at a fairly fast pace

fuckin love Trivium! and not to be a dick, but it seems like the better Trivium gets, Matt starts to look tougher and Corey gets tubbier. lol my opinion.

gibson and jackson are better anyway. dont get me wrong i love pantera, but thats the big reason why everybody makes a big deal about dean, funny how a bunch of people went to dean after dime passed. i think people were trying to jump in on the bandwagon.
corey is the better guitarist because he learned from the master BILL PIERCE! everybody go check him out if you want to learn all of corey's tricks and patterns!

@ReaperOfMen thats not a musical triplet is what im trying to say. playing triplets means playing 3 notes per beat in a 4/4 time. a lot of people call 3 notes in quick succession triplets, i personally call them gallops, but a musically defined triplet is just 3 notes per beat. and i dont think youre trying to be a douche dont worry. im not trying to be one either.
You guys don't know Thrash. Kreator would blow these guys away. and Dragonforce is just reviving what was already done in the 80's...nothing new to see folks move along.

@bunkyblu incredibly unlikely corey is classicly trained and has a degree in classical playing, you got that in your pinky, doubt it, and matt may not have that sort of degree or he might im not sure, but can you write music, play guitar, why aren't you famous?

Dragonforce is gay, I have slight respect for them cos they can write all the insane guitar solos, but no respect as players cos they cant even play their own songs.

he is the better guitarist but matt is the better writer which is alot more better other wise you wouldnt have a band.
