The hazard light button can be easily pried out from the front. No need to try and push it from the rear.
What do you mean about choosing aux manually for sound?
2004 E60, what's the best location to place that big connector? Can't get the radio back in place because of it...
for universal backup camera install can I route the camera directly to screen vice the rear view clip-on?

what is the sat nav like? do you need an internet connection?
I have a 2007 M6.. Why is it that I did not need to use my AUX console port. When I switch to the multimedia display, it switches to AUX, plays music through my speakers, but there is no connection to the AUX in the console.
Does it show the actual model of the car on the display screen?
I have a 2004 645ci ... it doesn't have the supplied Aux connector that you say needs to be run into the centre consul! or the connector of any kind in the centre consul, does this limit the functionality of the unit you are supplying? before I buy.
hi, i own the same car, same year. I went to bmw and coded the CCC unit for aux, cost 140euros, and I had to buy for another 80 euros an original aux cable. Finally, it worked. first code your unit, get the aux installed, then you can buy it. it is specified, original aux port needed.
Does it use the Amp in the boot?

Yep, Plus You will gain So Much More out of the i-drive, Champ! You are basically turning Your Crappy i-drive into a Cellphone once You install a sim card from Walmart. That way, You have internet access, wifi hotspot, ect... I went all in and got the television module too! Once I got it working, I was instantly crowned Champ in My car club & later that night, My car was broken into... I was So-Proud. Lol!

I just had mine installed in a 2006 650i. They put a FM transmitter, and it sucks. All types of static interference. Did I need this FM transmitter?
No, you should have it set to AUX
FM transmitters are terrible

@@joeruiz784 You have to buy the actual aux plug & then have aux coded into Your I-drive after the plug is installed... I have an '04-E64. This is what I did after I bought and installed it.
