Can you list what you bought and where and how much? My radio goes blank and no sound sometimes and come back randomly . Doesn't matter if it hot or cold outside. Same thing happen corrupts years ago. I change the factory amp in trunk and it work. I'm wondering if it the same problem again? Does it still sound good after Android radio install?
Hi there, I have installed few of this radios already, one of them develop issue with booting into the Android, with my friend we suspect that reason for it was hot air going from vents befind the unit, luckly as al androids you can connect PC to it via USB and force firmware recovery, therefore unit is back online. But we had to ask seller for specific ROM. I have the same problem and I'm so not excited to buy this android e60 head unit because of chances it will go blank and its so expensive or i will have to change and optical cable😪 bmw x drive and just bmw things in general do excite me when it comes to electronics and software..i go the other way..get a good aftermarket stereo and run a new circuit

Howe does it work with sound? My brother installetet this android radio but it doesent come sound to the speaker and i drive controller doesent work. Can u help please?
Hi there, these radios send sound via AUX, if your car never had aux then it will need to be coded, there are tutorials on the UA-cam that explain how to do it. It is not complicated but you will need to order diagnostic tool with OBD2 cable, best that I can advice is from eBay seller is called BMCables. As for the Idrive if you will go to factory settings then you can change the Idrive type, this should make it work, I have movie on my channel where I show my settings on one of these radios that works. why we cant use the gps antenna of the car and plug it to the android ?
If the connector is the same then sure, you can use your existing antenna, but if you will have 2nd antenna then always you have alternative in case if there will be any issue with Android GPS.
@@AndyN1 in case is not the same connector we can found adapter. Is strange chinese dont put an simple adapter in case is not same connector. But on bmw is fakra and there unit is in fakra too then i dont get it why an secondary gps... they are not those who give more items who cost money. :)
@@AndyN1 i was thinking too to install an DAB+ dongle with an antenna. Do you know if we can use our DAB non + antenna ? If not i will probably put there antenna in my trunk with the other antenna because is in Fiber (i have a convertible the antenna is there) but i am not the signal will be the same as in windshield... but maybe the same because bmw put an dab in trunk ^^
