I was stationed there, The back stairs from the yard says court, up those stairs into the court room, which now appears blocked, It was in the old court room that group 4 traffic was based, opperating M62, M57, M58, and also the locality, good times, hope the building gets transformed.
I really do enjoy all your explores, they're fascinating and all are very watchable. This one's particularly enjoyable though. A superb video of a superb explore 👍🏻
I’m a bit late on this one mate but I grew up in prescot and dad was a copper based in this station in the early 80s. He always said they hated night shift in there as it had a creepy feeling to it. Thanks for posting the video it took me back as I’ve not been in Merseyside for a long time 👍
Those cells were converted to general storage when custody moved to regional custody suites. Most police stations don’t have functioning cells any more.
Ahh as a person that has never been in the cells its good to know - alot of stations are now abandoned, defunct or sold off now as the police forces upgrade their buildings
I ran away from home with my mate when I was 7 years old.. when I came back the police where looking for me... They took me here and as a scare tactic they put me in cell 2 for about 15 minutes.
@@BeardedReality it was pretty scary, and funny also... When I saw the cell in your video, it made me laugh so hard... I grew up in preccie as a kid, great memories, cheers.
@@BeardedReality I worked there in the early 1980's. Would you like me to point out where you were in the building (as best I can remember) Very many moons ago the courtroom was upstairs and prisoners were brought up from the police cells to appear before the local Magistrates. I will give you more info if you are interested?
Yes correct. It is now in the Merseyside area, the local Council would say it is in Knowsley, but Knowsley is just a Council and a little village about 5 miles away from here.

The bare stone steps were the prisoner steps from cells to Magistrates Court. Boarded up before I was there in 80s and court became the scoff room!
