I bought mine in 2013. One of the first few hundred scooters. It's still runs with some charm. Ppl think that it could be a 3 yr old scooter. I badly want to buy an electric scooter but my tvs Jupiter is not at all ready to give up any time soon. I love it and can easily go for another 3 plus yrs . 😇😇
Activa which has been a market leader is experiencing stiff competition from Jupiter. It is evident from their TV Commercial nowadays. This is always good for a customer otherwise Honda will just monopolies this segment.I wish TVS best of luck.
A few observations and questions: 1. That pillion grab rail looks shorter - I doubt it's as easy and comfortable to hold like before especially for long rides. 2. No foldable foot rest on the left side - is it now an accessory? 3. Dumb trend - no kick starter on the top model only. Batteries aren't that reliable to only have a self-starter on scooters (especially with too many electronic features/gimmicks), unlike geared bikes that can be push started. 4. Where's the battery located? At the front or elsewhere? and what's its capacity? 5. How reliable are the indicator switches and operations? Considering that it is a semi-digital switch, what are the chances of failure / false triggering of hazards and buzzers during the rains? and are the buzzers free on any variant? The Jupiter is no doubt a great product, just that some of these concerns could be dealbreakers. Hopefully they are answered soon after thorough analysis in a future review. P.S. now HMSI can't have any excuses to improve the Activa. At the very least they could give it more higher variants with more useful features rather than the 'not-so-smart' key gimmick.
I actually agree with point 1 and 3 For 2 I think that's the case For point 4 though, Gagan Chaudhary did clear out in his video that the battery pack is located inside the front panel where we see led strip/indicators, he also said that the top model which doesn't have kick start gets 12V 5A battery and other trims which have kick start gets 12V 4A battery I'm not really getting your point 5 if I'm being honest, the switch for indicator is the same traditional manual switch and the indication for it is also the traditional its not a part onf the screen. Not just in jupiter but in other bikes and scooter I haven't actually heard of cases where there is false buzzer alarms when the indicator is not in use, the max I have heard is buzzer dying after a long period of time. The base model that was in the event did have buzzer for the indicator so I don't think its an accessory but something that comes standards which was the case with the previous jupiter aswell
@@rishitsinha8041 Thanks for answering! To clarify on the 5th point, since the indicator switch also works as a hazard light switch, to me it seems to be semi-digital, and hence I fear that it could degrade over time which could result in false triggering, and false triggering of turn indicators is lethal out in the open. Hopefully that never happens.
