- Just some very, very basic practice with Vegas Pro 15; first time editing shit in a long while and I've been on a Houseki no Kuni binge recently so I thought why not.

Diamonds are the hardest material on earth but not the strongest. Diamonds can easily fracture if you hit them on it's cleavage, and its hardness makes it unflexable.

Dia makes me sad cause they're trying so hard to prove their worth that they very nearly destroy themself in the process. They're the gem I relate to the most, I think.

@@Splatt707 No, Phos was weak as a fact, that was not something the Gems thought. Phos screwed up any other non-battle related jobs themselves, not because others thought he/she couldn't do it. When it comes to tasks like the Encyclopidea, we also see that Phos is too much of a brat to accept non-battle related jobs in the beginning of the story. Phos didn't aim for earning the others' respect and to become worthy in their eyes, Phos just wanted to become stronger and fight for their master.
Of Dia, they did expect a fighter, but Dia isn't, hence why they became an idol. Because it was something that suited their personality more. Dia tried to live up to the expectation of a strong diamond and a fighter, but she/he isn't. So Dia kept trying to fullfill a path that wasn't hers/his, which I do think influenced Dia and made her/him more sad and hopeless.
Is this some Steven universe stuff or what? Gems?
@@milkwh0re238 it's somewhat similar to steven universe. the gems fight other foreign creatures yada yada yada. but land of lustrous sets place where humans don't exist anymore. that's all the spoiler free info i can give i think.

@@jaydenking7408 I think the anime covers around the first half of the manga. It does start to get a bit dark where it leaves off, and I had head the manga gets darker. I have not read the manga yet though.

The most stunning thing in the series in both manga and anime is how watching a gem break is so beautiful, the shards light up and shine in a way that demands and captivates your attention, so much so that you feel guilty for thinking their pain is beautiful.

This is one of my favorite manga!
The anime is 12 episodes and only covers the first 3 (I believe) volumes. The manga goes much further, so if you want more I definitely reccomend reading it! ^_^
Diamond is strong, but not indestructible
Because I read manga, I started to hate everyone except phos. Why they are doing it to him? Why only him? Why anyone try to understand and try to help him? Please phos. Don’t pray happiness for them. They are not worth it.
Literally. They all never there to begin with. Only with Antarc that seems to care for Phos even after all gems had turn into lunarians. Antarc was looking for Phos.
i just finished the manga and i am mad confused so i have a question,,,, wont new gems form on earth so technically phos isnt rlly gonna be alone for 10 000 years?

@@qeeun5140 Antarc was gone for all those years so I feel like how he feels doesn't really count. He cares about Adamant a lot, so if he was around while all this happened I think he would have sided with the gems on the earth
@@eggs4429 Adamant was the only one who knew how to shape them right? But since he's gone even if new gems come they'll probably only be able to crawl around with those bodies. Also, Phos is extremely unstable right now so even if the loneliness gets to him to the point he would want another gem with him I don't think he can shape the gem like how Adamant did. Oh well, at least a gem will be there I guess. Maybe that alone might calm Phos done a bit.

This anime is really good, there are sad scenes. And i find it kinda sad that most of the characters we’ve never met or they’re on the moon. MANGA SPOILER!!!
Remember when the beginning im pretty sure when they thought they could gather up the arrows and put that gem back together but on the moon the people said that they couldn’t do it unless they were about 5+ and they ended up giving up the project.. that kinda made me cry

@@watercat1302 you've seen how they're able to make synthetic gems, right, they could've made their own material. And looking back Diamond's brittleness is not first class like their hardness. (Brittleness is how easily they shatter, hardness is how easily they can shatter other gems)
