I haven't seen anyone else say this, so I will. Wario's jump is not bugged. The creators of R96 intentionally made it so that his jump stuns the enemy. Then, you have to pick the enemy up and throw it. This is how he played in the Wario Land games as well, which the creators of R96 stated was the inspiration for Wario's moveset

Here's a little something to know about Wario: when jumping on certain enemies like goombas, they would get stunned and spin around, and you can do as Wario is you can pick up the stunned enemy, spin them around, and make them drop some coins, kinda like in some of the Wario Land games.
Luigi's voice is still Charles Martinet, it's just Luigi's voice during the n64 era, before Charles settled on a certain way to voice act for Luigi, before luigi's established personality. Same goes for Wario. This was one of Wario voices during the n64 era, before Martine took on Wario permanently and before he was changed to being Italian.
wario was also german in the japanese version of mk64, there he said: so ein mist! wich translates to: aw crap (okay translation makes it a more harsh swearword than it actually is.
I would actually really love Super Mario RPG to get a similar treatment with it's own promo art one day, Though I know that would technically need an entire remake.

It feels way bigger than it is, it's actually pretty impressive. There are only 15 normal stages, not including Bowser, cap switch and secret levels. Even with those included there's under 30 of them!
It really reminds me of playing as Luigi in Super Mario 63 when you play with Luigi in this game. I don’t know why, it just gives me a Super Mario 63 vibe to it. Also, am I the only one who noticed that when the characters pick up one of the caps, the character’s head next to the life counter has changed to have the same power-up as the actual character you play as. The one thing I wish you had shown off at the end is the wide penguin when you go back to race the penguin in CCM after collecting 120 stars. It already looked like a widescreen ratio so would have been cool to see it in wide screen

Not sure if Nathaniel already knows this or not. But if you look closely at the skybox/background of Wet Dry World. You'll notice that it is actually a REAL image of a sunken city underwater. It is perhaps the most interesting skybox textures in this entire game and Wet Dry World is honestly, one of the most interesting levels in Mario 64 in terms of "mystery". Specifically the area where all of the red coins are. The whole area is definitely supposed to resemble a small village that is now lost and forgotten. And what I find very interesting about the buildings in the area is that all of them have the same doors used in Peach's Castle and I would really like to see a rom hack that basically adds some interiors for them.
The chill bullies aren't the ones from DS, those were remodeled to look more crystaline, as if carved as an ice scupture, rather than the marbley texture in render96. Also, the ground texture in TTM was wood shavings all this time? Almost a weirder revalation then the Whomps Fortress dirt being gooey

When you jump on an enemy as Wario, them not dying is a part of his moveset. Just run into them with the shoulder tackle or spin them or throw them.
