The one thing I found that's handy is to remember that if Boom-Boom successfully blocks a Hyper Strike, he may be stunned but often kicks out a rebound. Make sure you have someone in front of the net for a potential easy goal.
I played in some of the online tests last weekend. Overall, it was fun. However, I think this game would be more fun with people you know. I also wanted a more robust story mode rather than the cup challenges.
I'd say another tip is timing; either for dodging, shooting, or passing. You just benefit for your timing, especially on dodging. Good tips Felix; might start using the 3rd tip.
Tip about tackling If you tackle someone who is passing the ball, both the passer and the receiver can be tackled without them getting an item. It counts as both players having "possession" over the ball. It is visually presented by the circle around the ball, being the same color as that team, growing bigger and smaller depending how far it is from the receiver and passer. Same goes as someone who just made a shot, at least for a few seconds. .
if you launch a full charged kick directly into the goalie, it will stun him for a few seconds. perfect opportunity for your teammates to rush the goalie box and make a quick shot. your charged shots also stun enemies, similar to a tackle
2:13 the tutorial does in fact tell you this. It’s in the description for how you use the move when you’re practicing it. Furthermore, if you look at the “controls” portion of the options menu, you can also see there that the right analogue stick does this.
My one confusion is aiming shots. I have no idea whether it's only down or up you can aim, or aiming for left or right actually curves the ball sideways
Do you need switch online membership to play online. I know it may sound obvious if that were the case, but games like Fortnite and Rocket League don’t require you to have a membership
Auto is easier but for Galactic cup manual is easier to win for me anyway. During a hyper strike you don’t need items. I switch to my strongest character and beat down anyone that didn’t get hit from the special to either defend or score. I learned this from Galactic cup because the cpu will beat the crap out of you in front of the net so you gotta do it first!
Struggling to win against friends? I'm struggling to beat the tutorial! There is so much going on in such a small space. I couldn't figure out which player I was. 😅
Is it possible to change the control settings !? I’ve tried but it’s probably impossible . I don’t like it at all! Who the hell shoots w A and passes with B!!!
can someone explain why sometime even when i fill up the arrow and block a hyperstrike, the ball can just decide to go into the goal anyway? is it just random and it just gets more likely when the hyperstrike is stronger?
The mashing is really easy to do, even on one blue one orange, so they needed to make some way for it to go in instead of being blocked, so it sometimes will still go in. Im not sure about the stats, but I think the fullness of the bar, and the color of the hyperstrike (Blue/Orange/Gray) matters, and increases or decreases the (I think) random chance of the ball still going in. Hope this helps!
It does not affect the player you're teaming up with, only you. Your teammate will continue to automatically switch characters with every pass while you're able to choose freely
You will almost always have the ball, making it near impossible for your teammate to function well. I speak out of experience that manual (sadly) is the way to go in 2v2
Peope said marioMorio Tennis aces (doubles witha friend) online is some of the best pvp ive ever plaid. we play daily and we pick the same characters. The intensity of the pvp is the selling factor. Oh and yes I have recalibrated my sticks plenty of times since acquiring the game. Im also aware of the Switch directional pad drift defect which my console does suffer from.
The AI in the Galactic Cup is just extremely cheap. Your own team just stands around while the opponents pass around balls. And even with a full pass focused team, you can't possibly pass around the ball yourself, because the AI enemy just kicks the guy who is about to receive the ball. You can't catch up with that on your own. The best shot one has in the Galactic Cup is having Bowser as a Captain, spam your items right at the start, followed by a perfectly charged shot. I really dislike how you may have 4 guys on the field, but you're playing totaly on your own with your extremely passive AI
@@BroerenGames I'm not against a difficult mode. I'm against completely unbalanced AI. Yeah they go and grab items, run somewhat up with you, but they're not really taking part unless you (try) to pass them the ball
I was hoping I wasn't the only one. The enemy gets way more items even tho they pre-tackle because they hunt down blocks asap. You have to hunt them yourself which leaves you open to getting scored on sometimes. They also pick up the hyperball and I've never seen my team do it. I'm finding manual better than the auto suggested here. If you pass to AI you can let them go with the ball and you tackle to protect them or get items. gives you more options. This is the best tip I can give you. Prioritize strength and shooting first speed second and completely forget about passing and technique. Those two stats are honestly worthless stats. Passing does not effect passing, it only effects timing for perfect pass so low passing is still good and accurate. Hyper strikes aren't too hard to pull off low stats either.
