They have power supplies with battery backup wiring (UPS) available for under 100 bucks. Instead of 900 bucks.

Yes, but I wanted something I can use to keep my fridge running when the power goes out. This thing gets me 6 hours. I also have some medical equipment in the house that could need power so this fills multiple roles for me.

My suggestion is to purchase the 30amp to a 60amp. AC DC converter. I purchased two off Amazon for 28 bucks .. 32 od so total ..cost..get a ten foot 3 wire power cord when you order your converter make sure to get the same or higher voltage amperage power cable...very important also make sure you fuse everything appropriately ...30 amp and up.... 1:47

I built a AC to DC power setup with battery back up... Simple setup cost around 40 bucks max ...that does not include the LifPo4 battery. You can use a 12v 50 amp hour or a 100 amp hour. Use a truckle charge automatic charger ...that will run about 25 or so bucks .. anyway...simple to build ..anyone can build one .. I also have a DC volt amperage monitor in the system to watch the power source always has the 12.14 and up power DC power available to start the heater cycle...

It runs at 7 to 13 or so watts once it's cycled up...on low 1to 2 setting under 1 amp ...running on low

Sorry to hear that. I had trouble early on with a restricted exhaust due to a bad installation (I did a video on that) but I fixed it and it's been great since. There should be a link in the description for the heater I am using. Check it out it's worked pretty good for my application.

@@paulethier3416 I will go back through your video. That was the reason how I found your page was the early on parts of your heater.

No 10 amps is not enough ..althoughI can tell you what my monitor reada as peak amoerage used over the 30 or so off on cycles ..start ups...11.51 AP with a 127 watt max and an average KWH used over the past week of 6.01 KWH ...I use my DH for my main heating unit. I'm running a 8KW Vevor 2023 model with BT on board. Hope this is helpful.

Im not sure Id have to do the math but .Im pretty sure you won't get 20 hours runtime on a charge. Maybe 12 or so... The accunulated power needed is most often more then you think it will be.

Thank you. I was just going off the gauge on the power supply that changes about every second. I'm sure there is an exact science to it.

No do not use the cigarette type style ...use the direct 12v 15 amp...direct..

I don't see where it has a direct 12v 15amp. The plug is the only option I think.
