100% facts. I got to see the raimi trilogy in theaters for the first time during the recent rerelease. It was spiritual, I cried during 1 and 2, and 3 is great in its own right. The trilogy was just as good if not better than I remember. Truly grateful that we got such a mature and tasteful iteration of the character, idk if it’s possible for tobey to ever be topped. His iteration incorporated so many different narrative beats while having characters that u bought into fully. On top of that tobey is just a powerhouse of an actor.
Yeah I actually think Spider-Man 3 gets a little too much hate, it’s not as good as the first two, but I think it’s still a fun watch! And yeah I love when movies get rereleased, it was awesome seeing Tobey on the big screen, and the films have honestly aged incredibly well given that we’re over 20 years removed from Spider-Man 1 coming out
TASM had the best romance of the three. I feel like the perception of Andrew's Spiderman greatly improved after NWH came out, and I've seen some people clamoring for TASM 3 since then. Unfortunately they deleted the romance as an option going forward, which was the best part of those movies, so I don't think even a third movie in Andrew's franchise could usurp Tobey's #1 spot.
I agree, it is kind of a shame, because just talent wise Andrew is the best actor and Sony did him dirty with that TASM 2 script, in a better situation I do think Andrew could’ve been a better Spider-Man than Tobey, and the romance with Gwen as well as his dynamic with Captain Stacey in the first film were great, and honestly carried those movies
Here are my Spider-man actors ranked from best to worst: 1. Garfield - I actually liked that they tried to make him more dark and realistic than Tobey, but his movies could've been so much better. 2. Holland - His movies were good and I like the technological aspect of his character 3. Maguire - He was my first Spider-man growing up, felt more like the comics to me and I like the campy/horror tone. 4. Hammond - Ngl, he was too serious for me didn't really like him that much (at least from what I've seen).
I respect the take! I honestly like all three main live action portrayals of the character, I think they all have different strengths, and my preference of Tobey is primarily because he is the most true to the comics and I feel like he captures the heart and soul of the character the best, I feel like if Andrew’s films were better directed and written I’d probably be more accepting of the darker tone
@@suryasingh9738 it’s a little hard to say decisively without seeing it come to life on the big screen, but I think potentially could’ve, a slightly darker more gritty take with less campiness, like your version of TASM could certainly work well, and I do think the campiness/cheesiness of the Tobey trilogy is the big area that could be improved upon, even though it does come off as endearing at times, and I think that’s where your storyboards have the potential to improve upon the Tobey trilogy, speaking hypothetically of course
@@suryasingh9738 I’ll definitely make a best Superman video at some point, it might take a few months to come out just because I like to rewatch everything, and take detailed notes prior to scripting videos, but that’s in my list of videos to start working on (I pre schedule made videos to keep up with the weekly drops, I think I’m prescheduled up to July or so atm, but I’m always liable to change the order of when things drop when I finish editing videos)
i love andrew spider-man the amazing spider-man 1 and 2 i think the first one was good but i love the amazing spider-man 2 was better great underrated movie my favorite movie in my honest opinion i would love to see andrew the amazing spider-man 3 happen so badly and i also love tobey spider-man as well i love both spider-man 1, 2 and 3 i know the majority didn't like spider-man 3 think it's a bad movie but i love spider-man 3 i think it was a good underrated movie to me i also really want to see tobey spider-man 4 happen so badly too well for tom holland spider-man i think spider-man homcoming was ok decent but i do think spider-man far from home and no way home were better in my opinion but we know that tom holland spider-man 4 is coming soon but i also hope we also get tobey spider-mann 4 and andrew the amazing spider-man 3 happen
I largely agree with you, despite my preference of Tobey, I think all three are good portrayals of the character and have unique strengths, so I’d love to see all of them get to continue their respective stories in their universes, I especially think Andrew’s Spider-Man had a lot more story to tell, I think a symbiote storyline with his Spider-Man in a potential TASM 3 would be interesting to see! I think it’d match the darker tone of his verse really well
