@@suryasingh9738 yeah from what I’ve seen of Supernatural, it definitely feels like a more evolved Teen Wolf in the sense that it’s just better written and more engaging, and I need to check Vampire Diaries out, prior to watching Teen Wolf I probably would’ve never said that, but since I enjoyed aspects of teen wolf I think I’d actually unironically like Vampire Diaries

@@suryasingh9738 that’s interesting, I haven’t seen him in too much outside of Friday Night Lights, but I think he’s a capable actor, I heard rumors that Josh Brolin was going to be cast as Hal, so I wonder why they made the switch exactly, but I’m thinking that they may just want fresh names who haven’t previously been in comic book movies, which I don’t mind in all honesty

@@joelwaters809 yeah I see what you’re saying with Peter’s return, I think because he was kind of the first character to “die” and then come back I attributed my frustration with the trope to him a bit, he did bring some funny moments post season 1 to be fair. And oh yeah, Coach Finn was a super important element of the show hooking me early on, I think the charming goofiness of the show is best exemplified by Coach Finn. Like is Stiles technically a much better written character, with more interesting arcs? Sure. But Coach Finn is just Coach Finn, he made me laugh almost every time he was on screen! I have been told that about 5A and 6A (primarily by my gf) so I’ll for sure finish the show out at some point, I’ll also be interested in checking out the movie because I have heard nothing but awful things about it, I just hope Coach Finn is in it!

@@vanessac1721 Yeah I feel like it’s all about how you approach it, if you watch the Happening expecting it to be some 10/10 art house film, you’ll certainly be disappointed, but if you just want to have some fun, then the Happening is a good time!

And well I personally go to transformers movies for the transformers and feel like the human plot lines serve to drag these movies down more times than not, so I’d love to see what a live action movie with just transformers looks like

@@tfwg2017 I think it could work, but given what we’ve got via the live action GI Joe movies so far, I’m just not convinced GI Joe translates well to film, I’ve heard good things about the crossover comics tbf, but both franchise are not in a great place so bringing them together feels to me like a desperate move, but when it eventually comes out I hope I’m wrong

@@pepita2437 they announced the GI Joe crossover for like 2026 I think, I’m not sure if it’ll be a reboot or not, I’m leaning towards thinking it’s not just because they teased GI Joe at the end of Rise of the Beasts, so I have a feeling they’ll bring Noah Diaz back, and hey maybe it’ll shock me and end up being really good but I have some extreme reservations about it

@@dkkanofkash8798 Yeah the GI Joe crossover news just has me scratching my head in confusion, like I could be wrong, and hope I am, but I don’t see it being the saving grace for the franchise that the studio is probably hoping it’ll be. You make a great point about that late 2010s era being a time of self imploding franchises though, most of the big ones fell!

@@akeemreese1050 Yeah, I think my regret in making this video when I did was not watching Transformers One first, reviews started coming out like right after this got posted, and I was basing my stance just off of the trailers I saw which very much felt like they were aiming for a young target audience, but I am happy fans are enjoying it so far, I’m interested to watch it soon, though most of the reason I made the video was because of the state of the live action franchise, and that is certainly still a mess and the GI Joe crossover is such a weird decision in my opinion

@@ScreenedStories yes I agree. I am fine with it being fully animated because it only takes place on Cybertron and there are no humans. I am going to see an early screening of transformers one later today. So once I get back from the movie, I’ll tell you my overall opinion.

@@ScreenedStories I paid to see a Transformers movie. Rise of the Beasts gave me that. The Bay films focused way too much on the humans. The transformers were secondary characters in their own movie.

@@davidstone281 I think that’s a fair point, the human plot lines have always been anchors to most Transformers films, though Michael Bay especially in 1-3 gave way better action than ROB had imo, but I do think that narratively the transformers got more light shined on them in ROB

@@ScreenedStories I liked the action more in Rise of the Beasts. Because I can actually make up who is who and what's going on. The action in the Bay films, particularly the forest fight, looked like when a magnet at a junkyard picks up a bunch of metal and throws it down a hill. And I was more invested in Rise of the Beasts than any of the Bay films.

Money chasing almost always results in the death of a franchise, I feel like you gotta focus on telling thought out stories first and foremost, and when you create something quality, the money should follow, but when the main goal is to just cash a check it really shows through the final product

To be honest the biggest driving force of my rant was the GI Joe crossover announcement and overall state of the live action movies, I was just projecting based on the trailers for TFO, but I’m happy to hear it was good, hopefully a step in the right direction

I feel like it always makes me see something new that I missed or overlooked. I understand your take on the Bay movies though, I like Dark of the Moon as well as the first one, but the humor is quite juvenile and it certainly has some of the same issues as the other Bay sequels, I just think it succeeds in the action department, overwhelmingly so

@@suryasingh9738 oooooh, there’s definitely some heavy hitters in the 2010s, Logan is my favorite superhero film of all time, I love both Dawn and War for the Planet of the Apes, Mission Impossible Fallout is a great action film, baby driver was a unique masterpiece, those are the ones coming to my head immediately, but I know I’m missing a bunch, hbu what are you 2010s favorites??

Yeah I did love Infinity War and Endgame, and Guardians of the Galaxy 1 is actually my favorite MCU movie, both Spiderverse movies are phenomenal as well, and 21 Jump Street is up there for my favorite comedy of all time, now that I’m thinking about it I’d add Split, Kingsman, First Class, and Creed to my favorites of the 2010s list

I mean there’s certainly moments in some of the sequels, I think the glass shattering scene from JP2 and the plane crash scene from JP3 are both great, but I guess my main critique of most the sequels is that they feel like a good idea or two stretched out into an entire film, but I’ll always have found memories of watch JP3 as a kid even if I don’t think it’s aged the best

@@ScreenedStories Honestly, JP as a franchise isn't the worst thing in my opinion. It's not like the reboot sucked, also it would be nice to see Sam Neill, Chris Pratt, and Scarlett Johansson all lead the 3rd movie in the next trilogy.

@@brycenelson9 yeah I think it’s pretty unlikely we see him as Batman again unfortunately, but I think the one way that it’d be possible is if we got a Batman Beyond style film at some point, I think Keaton could definitely crush playing an older, retired, mentor version of Bruce Wayne

@@joecoolskywalker yeah I agree with that take, maybe I’m just also biased, but I’ll for sure take Dinosaur over Frozen, in general I also feel like the early 2000s era of Disney gets overlooked by most, films like Atlantis, Treasure Planet, and Emperor’s New Groove were all pretty good imo

@@Thatkidhowscraked I see your perspective, I mean I think there’s moments in some of the Jurassic Park sequels, primarily the Lost World and the first Jurassic World that are pretty good, but to me by the time of JW2 it just felt like they ran out of compelling ideas, which kind of makes sense because once the park fails I feel like there’s limited directions to go post-park
