It's better to use drain tanking (Fell Concentration) with succubus to make kills faster and level up your defence skill at the same time. This way you're not afraid mobs hitting you since with proper defence and you won't get crushing blows or a lot crits on you
Good video! The discussion on macro usage and pet management was nice and I agree with the economy aspect getting a free mount enabling more aggressive investing in professions. Underwater breathing is also a free no recent spell learned by warlock so the undead racial does not change much.
One of the best tips guides I’ve ever watched for the Warlock! Thank you so much! In particular are the tips for dealing with mobs to get to the intended target as well as using cannibalize to feed during combat! Ran out of bandages. That would have been particularly handy to do! The same for the [@mouseover] fear macro! I think I will replace all spells on my bar with macros for each spell so that I can never have to worry about updating them every time I update/learn a new spell level!
You can just keybind PetBar 1 and 2 for Pet attack and Pet follow (not pet passive)... no need for macros. you should not combine pet attack with any of your spells anyway, because sometimes you want to attack a different mob then your pet. And on hardcore, survivability is far more important then being able to solo elite quests... demonology for survivability! Your Voidwalker tanks your mobs and if things go wrong, you can sacrifice him for a powerful shield and run away. Affliction may be great for fear and elite mobs, but more then often you get in trouble with fear
if you're an experienced player then probably you can live without engineering but target dummy can save your ass especially in dungeons when things might go wrong
I am doing Herbalism and Tailoring. Sending herbs to another character that is an alchemist or selling them. Using cloth to make bags and selling them.
Your affliction build looks a bit wrong mate, you should take Fel Concentration for less knockbacks on drains. 5 points in suppression is also gonna be a waste of points, since mobs around your level won't be resisting spells enough to need 10% hit chance. I also quite like Engi as it opens up opportunities for grenade > howl of terror and useful trinkets/helm
@@GuideMMO Fear introduces the variables of gathering extra mobs. Fear is not always good in situations like caves or around stealthed enemies. If you are fighting 3 mobs at a time then juggling with curse of recklessness starts to become really taxing because you are wasting global cooldowns and mana to cast it. If I was playing affliction then drain tanking with 5/5 Fel Concentration becomes much more reliable of a tactic for grinding
Also with Fel Concentration you can start to play with Succubus who is the superior pet for affliction builds. She has higher damage than the voidwalker and serves as a mana battery with Dark Pact later. Meanwhile you can tank the mobs with drain life that isn't being knocked back :)
@@GuideMMO Im sorry but you lack experience as a warlock, these talents are terrible! Send in your succu, apply dots and drain life (starting from lvl 38) and before that you want to wand in a demo build (only pick impr corruption from Affli) You obviously want Fel concent. as you do not fear every pull ... I only fear elites and when the situation requires it, else I draintank while my succu kills another mob or seduces one if needed. Yo also do not need more range (doesnt count for Immo anyway) or the slow talent, as most mobs run 30% faster than you anyway and your slow is only 10% ... you also do not need that much hit. You dont really use the voidwalker, more mana and health for your succu are alot more useful The soul talent is a pain in the *** and not really worth the pain, but you can run it if you want. Please update the guide
I actually find that hard to believe! I've tried mage, warrior and warlocks thus far, and leveling warlocks on hardcore is just WAY easier! The pets, particularly void-walkers, makes all the difference! Especially if you beef them up in the talent tree! Anyway, will definitely research this! Because if that's the case then people aren't playing this class properly! Compared to mages and, maybe even warriors, the levelling speed can be slow for warlocks, given their damage over TIME abilities... So maybe the real problem is a lack of patience! That said though, even if impatient players get themselves in a bind playing warlocks, this class has some of the best survivability mechanics after hunters.

Yes Fel concentration is wonderful, the 6% dmg on curse of agony doesnt make a big difference either way
i never played a warlock, i think i will try it as a new way to enjoy the game

This is the best lock guide out there, so many useful points.

body pull is also works. It's called a split pull.

Is there any reason for fel concentration, when you can just fear and drain life? Or drain life when your pet is tanking

Not to mention that without Grim Reach, a lot of feared mobs will go out of range of your drain life at those lower levels

Title is a bit misleading. More of a tips and tricks video than a leveling guide. Good information though.
Warlock has the least chance of reaching level 60 according to Deathlog Addon
