@@Darksaviour I think the next film after this should feature Mecha Godzilla returning with an upgraded model and more diverse move set: A Mecha Godzilla 2.0 if you will. I think the presence of Mecha Godzilla and the whole conscience of Ghidorah concept is a bit too grand to be pushed aside for a plot twist.
One thing I realized is that while Mechagodzilla was destroyed. Ghidorah’s head that controlled him survived. I wonder if that will come back in some form at one point. Perhaps a Mecha King Ghidorah?
I don't know if this theory that I am gonna tell is true or fake l After the Final fight Madison went to check that skull which was controlling Mecha. The skull was there but Ren was missing.Which suggest that Ghidorah Is controlling his mind and Ren will take some parts of that Destroyed mecha inorder to make MechaGhidorah.
Fun fact about this Mechagodzilla in Godzilla vs Kong: This is the closest thing to seeing Mechagodzilla 2 in the monsterverse more so than seeing Mechagodzilla 3 aka Kiryu and it is a reference to the unused origin of Mechagodzilla 2’s creation aka when Mecha King Ghidorah’s mind took control of the mecha and became self aware. It was not the official origin they used unfortunately for Mechagodzilla 2 luckily we have other Mechagodzilla depictions where he is sentient and self aware. In the Showa era, Mechagodzilla 1 when he was rebuilt was built from the brain DNA of an Alien cyborg women and that gave him his own personality, it was also built by aliens not humans. the Next Mechagodzilla is actually my favorite type. Kiryu aka Mechagodzilla 3. He was built from the bones of the original 1954 Godzilla and eventually this became a disaster for Humans as Kiryu became self aware and was operating independently and costed human lives. Kiryu was also in the Ready Player One noval. Next is the Animated Mechagodzilla and this is my least favorite. But this time he is self aware with artificial intelligence and took orders from humans who built him. He is also semi sentient so he’s semi independent of human control. Finally we get to the Mechagodzilla here shown in the monsterverse universe. This Mechagodzilla is similar to the unused origins of Mechagodzilla 2 but with a few differences. He not only is dictated by Ghidorah’s mind, but is also mixed with artificial intelligence, and eventually Ren’s mind after Mechagodzilla got the power source energy. It’s confirmed artificial intelligence was in this Mechagodzilla if you pause at scene in the movie where Ren is about to test the titan with the newly implemented power source, on the panel screen it said “Artificial Intelligence”. So basically, once the power source was added, Mechagodzilla became self aware, and with the combination of Ghidorah’s mind, Artificial Intelligence, and now Ren’s mind, Mechagodzilla became his own unique personality. It would explain why in the movie he knew his abilities and how to combat. If it was just Ghidorah exclusively controlling this Mecha, then it would not be aware of its abilities like missles, drill tail, thrusters, proton scream etc. Monsterverse has limited time unfortunately. It will also depend on how successful the movies following Godzilla vs Kong are. I would most definitely love to see Mechagodzilla 3 aka Kiryu eventually in the monsterverse. After all, there was another Godzilla skeleton in Hollow Earth.
I’ll disagree with you there. It had more of the mix between Showa and Heisei Mechagodzilla in terms of artillery/size/presence. The only thing similar between it and Kiryu was that a ghost took control over it.

Honestly, I’m surprised that we even got MechaGodzilla. Remember how gritty and realistic that 2014 movie was? Less than 10 years after that we get the big robot in that same continuity.
I think having a less dark and gritty Godzilla universe makes sense, the series was never that edgy and both KotM and GvK make it more justice than 2014 Godzilla did
@@ocyocyocy Legendary films really made King Ghidorah, and Mechagodzilla look physically terrifying. And the fact that the two just themselves alone, can destroy Earth. Imagine what a Legendary Destoroyah, or Legendary Gigan would cause to Earth? Gigan is a bit more dangerous than King Ghidorah in my opinion because he’s not only extraterrestrial like King Ghidorah, but he he has more dangerous abilities. The abdomen saw blades, able to quickly teleport to different positions, he can fly, and he has sharp hooks as hands. A legendary Gigan fighting Legendary Godzilla would be something that could be gruesome and gory. Godzilla would very well be brutally and severely injured and for the time in a legendary Godzilla film, legit bleed from Gigan’s abilities. A legendary Destoroyah on the otherhand would be something that definitely require all other Titans to help Godzilla defeat Destoroyah. Godzilla would be at disadvantage without being in burning mode. Not to mention, Destoroyah if he was in the monsterverse would DEFINITELY cause environmental damage to Earth from his micro anti-oxygen energy beam, that alone would kill a lot of the oxygen that is near him and kill basically every single organism that was near him.
Not gonna lie I didn't expect them to do a pure Mecha G 2 ref by having him being built using Gihdora's head. I thought they'd combine it with Kiryu using Dagon's bones
Based on that thought, I'd like to think that they used his bones as the overall design (while making his height as tall as Godzilla's), like how a house constructor uses blueprints to build a home. Maybe they went over to Dagon's bones and tried using 3D specs to scan what was left of him, at the same time using Godzilla as another reference if not the main one.
Dagons bones being used to build kiryu was in fact one of the main plot points for my version of a third solo Godzilla movie, the kiryus concience idea being adapted into the ai that controls it going rouge after realising what had been done to the titans bones and began to "punish" humanity for disturbing them, before reaching an agreement with its human pilot and teaming up with Godzilla to fight destoroyah, who has been on a kaiju serial killing spree and has set his sights on killing the alpha before finishing the job...
I actually thought they were going to make him artificial intellectual and self aware. I at least was sorta correct. AI was controlling this Mechagodzilla but Ghidorah’s DNA was dictating the machine.
I love that the ending of the theme has a reference to the native vocals in Ghidorah's theme, and with the end of the theme, so is the reign of The Death Song of the Three Storms.
Mechagodzilla The ultimate killing machine, slayer of gods and titans. If skynet created monsters like this, then earth is doomed to the artificial intelligence.
I'm really happy with how they did Mecha G with this incarnation, because traditionally, Mechagodzilla has always tried to look like the godzilla of the time, and I was worried that this one would be a slow, rotund, clunky mess. And I'm glad that wasn't the case
Just to let everyone know. If you paid more close attention the driver/rider of mechagodzilla is the son of the scientist who sacrificed himself to nuclear resurrect Godzilla and studied him more than his own son. I think It was the Sons anger out on his boss and Titan that went rampage. Not King Ghidora himself. He became one with the tech. But the human host/ rider maybe dead after the fight. Great theme btw.
It's made as clear as it can possibly be in the film without expositing that it's indeed Ghidorah (or at least a piece of Ghidorah's consciousness/es) controlling MechaG - Ren gets electrocuted to death after Ghidorah takes over.
A living machine. That which was once a weapon of man repurposed by the outcast of the sky. Ghidorah, reformed. The Devil with Three Heads becomes the God in the Machine.
Is the music they used when mechagodzilla first appeared on screen or mechagodzilla killing th skullcrawler in here cause it sounds so epic and evil at the same time (sorry for bad english)
Well. The music is nice. But everything else...such a disappointment. It had the worst dialogue I have ever seen. Worst humor ever. The only characters I was interested in was Ren and Walter. Walter dying was fine. Ren was completely wasted. Everybody else is useless. Godzilla only showed up when the plot needed him, Mechagodzilla was a huge disappointment. It was rushed and slapped together with whatever bullshit they can come up with.
This has to be the best version of mecha-godzilla. The design. Mostly those hudge arms. It has a humanly posture to. But what adds to it'scharacter is that mecha if fully black and white, While crimson red stains it's body. I just like this version of mecha Godzilla to a extent. Shout out to the designer 👏👏👏
It’s probably closer to the 1993 Mechagodzilla 2 design, and it’s origins are actually closer to the unused origin of Mechagodzilla 2 being built by the Mecha King Ghidorah remains and later possessed the machine that was being controlled by the spirit of Mecha King Ghidorah resulting in Mechagodzilla 2 to become rogue towards humans. That origin was scrapped for the movie.
@@beazrich2.017 I think the only Godzilla film I've seen with any form of MechG is "Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla". I thought it was sort of referring to the skeleton of the very first Godzilla.
"You ask me, why did we have to build Mechagodzilla? Let me tell you. Our ancestors cowered in fear of our predators- of lions and hyenas. We hid away in caves, terrified our children would be picked apart by vultures. But we were not content to let it stay that way. We hardened our spirits, and faced our demons. We took up our spears, we killed our oppressors, and made it so that they feared _us._ Now that the predators of a time long gone have resurfaced, what are to do? Are we to grovel at the feet of our new gods, to surrender ourselves to their whims, and hope that they will have mercy? NO! You may be content to cower away, but I am proud to be human- and I will not be robbed of my freedom. The human spirit demands we seize control of our own fates. With science and toil- I have built the spear that will kill God. Only then, finally- humanity will be back at the apex. As has always been and as will always be.
To be honest if i was in that universe i would fully support apex and work for them , f*ck having kaijus destroy our cities anytime they want and killing us

@@constantinethecataphract5949 Even without the fact the Titans are what stops humanity from creating their own extinction event and the fact Apex would've one way or another screwed the human race even if their plan had succeeded; you are aware that Apex specifically are hypocritical terrorists who are far lower than the Titans they want to dominate? They casually, callously and above all deliberately engineer *millions* of innocents' deaths (Hong Kong has an especially dense city population, and I honestly think that's exactly why Apex positioned MechaG there) for callous and selfish reasons, not to mention Apex were seriously dumb enough to think the best way to usurp the Titans was by plugging a little-understood but actively human-hating ALIEN Titan's still-living remains into a weapon that was meant to be invincible.
And Mechagodzilla is not even one of the strongest titans in the Toho series. What could a SpaceGodzilla, Destoroyah, or Gigan do to Godzilla or humanity in the monsterverse? Scary to think about.
Truly Masterpiece And Perfection Mechagodzilla Was Truly Terrifying and awesome Robotic I like Mechagodzilla Punching Godzilla with Jetpack(Cuz is so freaking Cool)

"Oh hey, let's make a cyborg defender!" From what? *motioning toward Ghidorah's leftovers* Eh? [Godzilla's attacking us and we don't know why!] Maybe we deserve this.
Yeah. Honestly, I think it's impressive that Godzilla didn't decide to decimate human civilisation like how he decimated and exiled Kong's ancestors after MechaG was killed, since it takes a special kind of stupid to decide the best way to commit Titan genocide in the name of Muggle Power is by wiring a little-understood ALIEN Titan's human-hating, still-conscious remains into a killing machine meant to be unstoppable.

It was not the official origin they used unfortunately for Mechagodzilla 2
luckily we have other Mechagodzilla depictions where he is sentient and self aware.
@@beazrich2.017 I do think there will be Mecha godzilla 2 because they did not destroy Kevin's brain

@@bboygamer8120 maybe
Dagons bones being used to build kiryu was in fact one of the main plot points for my version of a third solo Godzilla movie, the kiryus concience idea being adapted into the ai that controls it going rouge after realising what had been done to the titans bones and began to "punish" humanity for disturbing them, before reaching an agreement with its human pilot and teaming up with Godzilla to fight destoroyah, who has been on a kaiju serial killing spree and has set his sights on killing the alpha before finishing the job...

MechaGodzilla in this movie is the definition of, "Fuck around and Find out"
The kid called him "Mechagodzilla" but I bet Ren Serizawa originally intended to call it "Kiryu"
Maybe, but the design that was in the film would most likely be different and look more like Kiryu himself if it was actually supposed to be him.
