I make the Indomie Bbq Chicken Flavor by cooking the noodles, and then mixing all the packets with a raw egg. Then you take the hot, drained noodles, and kind of whip them in to the egg. Almost like making carbonara, but ramen.

All you need is butter. If I'm eating instant ramen and not making a whole dish out of it, I boil the noodles, strain, mix in the seasoning packs and then just stir a knob of butter through. It just uplifts the flavours to a whole new level.
@@jeanz8185 never tried sour cream, I'll have to make a note of that but I'm not a fan of yogurt with noodles, it has a bit too much tang for my liking.
I do a simple upgrade to Ramen. Cook as usual. With boiling noodles, I add very thinly sliced mushrooms, grated carrot and touch of grated ginger. Add flavor packet when all is done. Add a teaspoon of sesame oil and sliced green onion. Light and delicious! Sometimes I will also dice up a bit of raw shrimp in there too for a heartier soup. That just gets added to the finished hot soup and left to sit for a minute to "cook" in the hot soup.

Hi Beryl, Brilliant ramen hacks! You are very brave wearing your lovely T Shirts, when eating ramen, I'd be worried as I'd end up with staining them. I wasn't expecting Herb Alpert & his Tijuana Brass, thank you for that special surprise.
Beryl, I tried your peanut noodle recipe from a previous video and fell in love with it. I seriously make it all the time. Over time, it has evolved a bit though - you might try it with the additions: Peanut Noodles Remixed (changes with an *): Cook instant noodle, do not use the flavor packets save for another day Drain noodles (* do not cool down), and put back in the pan * Add an egg and stir to get a carbonara type effect In a bowl add: 1tbsp honey (add less for less sweetness) 1 tbsp rice vinegar 1 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp peanut butter 1 tsp chili paste (add more to make spicier) 1 tsp ginger garlic paste * 2-3 tsp corn starch to thicken Mix. Add noodles Add chopped coriander (* I never have it though and leave it out) Top with sesame seeds I definitely need to try these as well. I had totally ignored ramen but there is so many yummy things you can do with it!
I love watching your videos when I'm eating lunch at work. 🥰 your videos are so sweet and wholesome. And it makes me feel like I am eating with someone else!
Hey Beryl! I'd love for you to try more Dominican food (especially our street food/fried food). NYC is filled with Chimi restaurants/food trucks (restaurants where Dominican fried food is sold). They are also generally easy to make if you'd like to try and make them! I think you'd really enjoy them. Some of my favorites are patacon, chimiqueques, salchipapas, chimichurris, fritura, etc
I had the egg, mayo and garlic ramen for the first time a couple days ago and COULD NOT BELIEVE how rich and creamy it was. I thought it would just taste like mayo but it because so viscous and homogenous and UGH just so good, especially with a spicy seasoning packet.
When I crave a pumped up ramen, this is what I go for: I put leftover barbecue chicken bones (I use the meat for other meals), cilantro stems and an onion in a pot, along with garlic and spices, if I have some around ,and let simmer 30 min. Then, after having coocked the noodles in another pot, I filter the broth, add an egg yolk while stirring, put the noodles in, then the egg white (stop stirring at that point) and top it off with cilatro leaves and a bit of sesame oil, Delicious! The yolk makes the broth creamy. I keep the whites intact by cooking them after having stirred the yolks in.
When I was a kid, I would cut up some potatoes, carrots, onion and saute them in a pan for a bit, while preparing the noodles separately. Then I would add in some Italian seasoning and the ramen flavor packet. Then I would add a small amount of water and the noodles. SO it was like a veggie noodle stew. SOOOO good! And simple!
These recipes aren't ramen, though. Ramen noodles don't equal ramen. Ramen is a two part dish, the noodles AND the soup. If it doesn't feature the soup, it isn't ramen.
I often cook my instant ramen in milk. It's especially good with spicy ramen. Just add milk (or milkalternative) and the spicepacket to a little pot, add and cook the noodles. It makes a kinda creamy sauce. And if you want you can add cheese on top in the end. :)
For the first recipe, you can totally use plain ramyeon noodles instead! So no flavor packets go to waste. It's called ramen sari and the brand Ottogi makes them :)
I’ve found the joy of Mi Goreng stir fry noodles. While Shin black will always hold a place in my heart, the Mi Goreng is so lovely and my IBS stomach doesn’t hate me afterwards. I cook the noodles, then in a separate bowl mix all the seasoning except the chili sauce (again IBS) you could totally add it for your taste. To the seasoning mix I add a dollop of Kewpie Mayo, and one large egg mixing it well. When the noodles are finished, I add just enough water to the seasoning mix to help cook the egg. I like mine pretty dry so I don’t add a lot, couple of tablespoons at the most. Then add drained noodles and enjoy.
I just made the first one after seeing this video.... it is absolutely delicious! I nixxed the crushed red pepper and added sriracha to the top once it was plated... it is so freaking amazing!! Make it!
saw the first recipe and I knew I needed to try that made and I loved then I noticed I forgot to add the brown sugar so it can be even better! can't wait to try thanks!
Beryl, I think you should really do an episode on eating iftar foods from all around the world because it’s currently the month of Ramadan for all Muslims. You can also try fasting one day 😊
As a completely nontraditional ramen noodle dish I just made some of my own 'sauce' with pesto, garlic, butter, and like a third of the flavor pack. Tossed to cooked noodles in (with no water) and it was sooo good!
What I do with my ramen is thus; when the noodles are finished, I drain it slightly, add 2 slices of American cheese, add butter, add black pepper, add the seasoning packet, add a whisked egg, let that stuff get to know each other for 30 or seconds, then plate. It comes out so good! I recently bought kewpie mayo to try the 2nd recipe since it has been circulating a lot recently. Can't wait to try it!
Here's an instant ramen recipe for you: Types of Ramen needed: Shin ramyun spicy black, Sapporo icchiban tonkatsu. Use half of the seasonings from each. Put in one tea bag of each black and green tea into the water. When the water looks like it's about to boil, pull the tea bags out and squeeze them. (Yes, I know that's a no-no. Yes, I know it releases bitter tannins. LET IT. You want that, I swear. Bear with me.) When the tea starts to boil, add your noodles and cook them 2 minutes. Yes, I know the directions say 3, do 2 anyway. The noodles will be extra springy but fully cooked at the end. Beat an egg as you did here for the second Ramen dish, but add a tablespoon of seasoned rice vinegar (Sweet and sour elements. Sweet mellows with the bitter tea tannins and you need that acid!) and 2 tablespoons of toasted sesame oil. Put half of it into your bowl and add the 2 half seasoning packets and a teaspoon of fish sauce into the bowl. Put 3 tablespoons of olive oil into a pan and add the other half and cook it in a thin layer; like a crepe. ALTERNATIVELY, you could just scramble it. Lol Add the hot tea to the half egg and seasonings in your bowl, then stir to combine. Add noodles and combine again, finishing with the cooked egg. Stir the egg in and top with a pinch of cilantro you can then mix in for more flavour. This is one of my favourite ways to eat Ramen at home. 😉
I have a recipe. I call it Ramen Omelet. Ingredients: 1-2 Pack of Instant Ramen (I use Indomie Ayam Bawang) 2 Eggs 1 Small Carrot, Diced Neutral Cooking Oil or Butter for frying How to: - Boil the noodle per instruction - Beat the egg and use the seasoning packet as the seasoning - Put inside the diced carrot into the beaten, seasoned egg - Put the noodles into cold water to stop the cooking and prevent the egg from curdling by carryover heat - Mix evenly - Prepare the pan and heat up a tablespoon or two of cooking oil or a big knob of butter - Cook it like what you would to with an omelet And voila. Ramen Omelet.
Ever since I seen the mayo ramen I have not eaten them any other way! It's so filling! I to have always been a dry noodle eater but not anymore! The broth is so comfy! Yum!
The sauce that being made for Jin Ramyeon for the first recipe remind me about sweet soy sauce? In Indonesia we call it Kecap Manis. And btw the first recipe remind me alot about Indomie Goreng. Just with a pop of Boncabe and lil bit of Kecap Manis.
I like to get the “stir fry” cup noodle (not the sweet chili flavor) and add a splash of rice vinegar, ground ginger, garlic, pinch of sugar, pinch of salt. It’s really good. The rice vinegar is what really makes it I think.
Beryl: *not using the flavor packets Me: the DISRESPECT😠 Just joking xD Btw I could relate when the ramen soup splash into her eyes. That happened to me so many times :')
I do a loco moco ramen hack. It's essentially a beef patty, with sauteed onions, garlic and mushrooms gravy drizzled all over the ramen and fried egg on top.
I would definitely recommend o’keefe’s lip repair cooling lip balm... it works great for cycling and running... also keep up the great work on these vids...
Hey Beryl! I always get hungry looking at your videos (which is a good thing of course). I have a really simple but delicious way of cooking your noodles differently. When I was in Indonesia I would make Martabak Indomie (which is an Indomie Noodle Omelette). You just need one pack of Indomie noodles (any flavour is okay), 1 egg, and green/spring onions. So you first boil the noodles and drain them, meanwhile, you mix the flavour package (I don't usually put all of it to avoid it being too salty but it's a matter of personal taste), chopped green/spring onions, and the egg in one bowl. Then you mix the drained noodles in the egg mixture. Lastly, put some oil in the pan, and pan-fry it like an omelette until both sides are golden brown. Enjoy, it's delicious with chili sauce :)
Whenever I'm craving for Korean instant noodles, I make Shin Ramyun and add kimchi, soft tofu, enoki mushrooms, egg poached directly in the pot with the noodles. I tend not to add a lot of water so that the soup boils down into a nice thick gravy. Then top it all off with a slice of cheddar cheese (usually I melt the cheese in the noodle bowl by covering it with a plate or something for a few seconds) and add a sprinkling of green onions. The umami and spice from the Shin Ramyun seasoning and the kimchi go together with the cheese so well.
Tip: instead of water, use unsweetened soy milk that you get at the Asian grocery store and whatever spice packets, scallions, egg and whatever else you want to zhuzh it up. It’ll give a nutty flavor and richness
MY FIRST SUBMISSION! Okay. My best friend in high school showed this to me and I thought she was nuts but it’s SO GOOD! 1. Boil ramen and do not drain the water! 2. Add Cajun seasoning, one slice of processed American cheese (I prefer/suggest Kraft singles) and a few dabs of your favorite hot sauce. That’s it! The cheese should disintegrate and make the noodles so creamy but it’s also spicy! It’s so delicious.
If you don't have japanese mayo don't stress yourself! I tried it with Remoulade (tartar sauce? sorry english is not my first language XD) and it was just as amazing! Japanese mayo tends to be really pricy were I live so I think that's a good substitute :)
Genetic triple antibiotic cream is absolutely fantastic at helping anything chapped, i.e. lips, nose, cheeks, hands... my nose got chapped 1 year due to weather and constant wiping due to a cold; all I had on hand, and could think of, was triple antibiotic cream. Literally within 1 day my nose was 90% better.
I do ramen, half water, full sauce packet. Then different variations are: Basil, lime juice, sesame oil, mung bean sprouts, jalapeños, sriracha Peanut butter, frozen peas, garlic, toasted almonds, red pepper flakes Ranch dressing, cheese cubes, scallions, Peruvian seasoning Coconut milk, lime juice, edamame, sweet curry powder, cayenne Sometimes I'll add tofu or an egg or another protein. Ramen combos are so fun.
Basically I just throw in any nice savoury stuff that can become part of the sauce + add some nice flavour and texture eg. cream cheese, milk, peanut butter, chunks of sausage, egg and if my mum has made some curry then I usually steal a couple of spoonfuls of sauce, veggies and meat/meat substitute to add to my ramen. If you ever make a curry try adding some to your ramen, it's delicious!
best Ramen is A-One vegetables and flash boil the noodles then use 400ml of boiling water with all the seosenings and 20gr of mayo put it into a blender get some cream to it to your desireds liking andthen boil it with the noodkes top it with mushroomes that where sautaided with garlic
other things you can add: milk or cream (and a bit of sugar, to taste) to make it rosé; peanut butter, sugar, fish sauce, and lime (or any acid) for that south east asian flavor
I have tried both of them before and personally I like 2 one more though I mix the egg and tastemaker mixture into the boiling ramen when it's almost cooked, cause I like a more cooked egg in my broth. Loved the video and your spontaneous reactions beryl. Hope you have a beautiful day 😁👍
I am eating pickle pizza while watching this. Why haven't I tried this earlier? It's just amazing. Thanks for showing us the pickle pizza a few weeks ago :D
I've been waiting for this. When the pandemic hit and my sisters and I missed going out for pho, I'd use the following ingredients for a quick imitation: 1 green onion quail eggs/chicken eggs 1/2 bok choy fish sauce Maruchan shrimp flavor cup noodle 1. Boil water for cup noodle 2. Hard/softboil your eggs, however you prefer 3. Pour water into noodles 4. While noodles steep, finely chop veggies and add when done 4. Add literally a drop of fish sauce. Maybe two. Stir thoroughly. 5. Add boiled eggs, chili oil and lime to taste. I think I'm missing an ingredient but I can't remember.
This idea of "egg cooked with hot water" also exists in Greece (and many other places of the world I guess). Many dishes are dressed with a sauce called "avgolemono", where a whisked egg and lemon juice are cooked with hot water and then used to complement soups or green plates or substitute sauces. I think it's tastier than it sounds.
I eat my instant Ramen by making my own peanut sauce. Chunky peanut butter, sesame oil, soy sauce, brown sugar (or honey), rice vinegar, chili flakes, green onions, toss in some crispy tofu as well. Delish. Also just making garlic noodles with the Ramen noodles instead of spaghetti noodles.
6:05 I'm exactly that kind. Dry noodle kind of guy. I'd drain the broth off the wok and put the noodles back and then add the masala at the end onto the piping hot noodle, then plate it. Ready to eat. :) I like that egg combo with the seasoning in the first recipe. Wondering if I could use some chicken as well.

If I'm eating instant ramen and not making a whole dish out of it, I boil the noodles, strain, mix in the seasoning packs and then just stir a knob of butter through. It just uplifts the flavours to a whole new level.
either butter, sour cream or plain yogurt..... soo good
That’s our traditional way, for the last ... 40 years.
Butter, makes everything better 💕
@@jeanz8185 never tried sour cream, I'll have to make a note of that but I'm not a fan of yogurt with noodles, it has a bit too much tang for my liking.
i too put ghee(clarified butter) .
I’m so glad people have been giving her bowls the presentation looks so beautiful
Also PLEASE DO MORE RAMEN VIDEOS ITS MY FAVORITE FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been doing this for years with noodles and eggs. Also, mayonnaise & mustard with your own spices....so 😋🤤. You did a phenomenal job showing what you can do with just some pasta, Ramen or .99cent noodles of all kind (bigger meal).
Not gonna lie I thought you were revealing Beryl merch under the sweater
hahahah but also fun
Hi Beryl,
Brilliant ramen hacks!
Over time, it has evolved a bit though - you might try it with the additions:
Peanut Noodles Remixed (changes with an *):
Cook instant noodle, do not use the flavor packets save for another day
Drain noodles (* do not cool down), and put back in the pan
* Add an egg and stir to get a carbonara type effect
In a bowl add:
1tbsp honey (add less for less sweetness)
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 tsp chili paste (add more to make spicier)
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
* 2-3 tsp corn starch to thicken
Mix.
Add noodles
Add chopped coriander (* I never have it though and leave it out)
Top with sesame seeds
I definitely need to try these as well. I had totally ignored ramen but there is so many yummy things you can do with it!
"We are not gonna be using the flavour packets"
This is the second time I came across a noodle recipe without the taste maker and I love it😌🔥
so a recap: *beryl flexing her Junji Ito's collections*
Seeing the amount of ramen video that Beryl made, i thought Beryl really love ramen that much haha
(same here)
When I crave a pumped up ramen, this is what I go for: I put leftover barbecue chicken bones (I use the meat for other meals), cilantro stems and an onion in a pot, along with garlic and spices, if I have some around ,and let simmer 30 min.
I didn't realise it was a sweatshirt at first and got the shock of my life when Beryl started to remove it 😨😨😱😱
I was scared too 😳
hahaha like fleabag!
SOOOO good! And simple!
YES TO RAMEN!!!! It's one of my favorite comfort meals and I like to change up how I prepare it!!
These recipes aren't ramen, though. Ramen noodles don't equal ramen. Ramen is a two part dish, the noodles AND the soup. If it doesn't feature the soup, it isn't ramen.
I enjoy the basics. They are better that way. Looks delicious doodette
I often cook my instant ramen in milk. It's especially good with spicy ramen. Just add milk (or milkalternative) and the spicepacket to a little pot, add and cook the noodles. It makes a kinda creamy sauce. And if you want you can add cheese on top in the end. :)
She is so funny! I just love her energetic style.
For the first recipe, you can totally use plain ramyeon noodles instead! So no flavor packets go to waste. It's called ramen sari and the brand Ottogi makes them :)
You make my days so much better!!!❤️❤️
That blue bowl is beautiful - I want one, or two or FOUR!!
Please, please, please do more ramen episodes that don’t require the flavour packets. I’m totally going to make the first one.
I just made the first one after seeing this video.... it is absolutely delicious! I nixxed the crushed red pepper and added sriracha to the top once it was plated... it is so freaking amazing!! Make it!
Thanks for brightening my day!
but what is the brown sugar way? i must have missed! please share again. 🙃
i put an apple slice in the bag for 2 days!
@@BerylShereshewsky thank you!!
A slice of bread also works in brown sugar.
saw the first recipe and I knew I needed to try that
made and I loved
then I noticed I forgot to add the brown sugar
so it can be even better!
can't wait to try
thanks!
Beryl, I think you should really do an episode on eating iftar foods from all around the world because it’s currently the month of Ramadan for all Muslims. You can also try fasting one day 😊
she has been working on an iftar project with submissions from viewers (deadline was yesterday). the details on on the community tab
the second recipe looks soooo yummy! i can already imagine the garlic taste 😋
Here's an instant ramen recipe for you:
Types of Ramen needed: Shin ramyun spicy black, Sapporo icchiban tonkatsu.
Bear with me.)
When the tea starts to boil, add your noodles and cook them 2 minutes.
Lol
Add the hot tea to the half egg and seasonings in your bowl, then stir to combine. Add noodles and combine again, finishing with the cooked egg. Stir the egg in and top with a pinch of cilantro you can then mix in for more flavour.
This is one of my favourite ways to eat Ramen at home. 😉
For the Jin Ramen hack - I would also add a slice of packaged cheese to it - it helps manage the extreme spice, and makes the noodles slightly richer.
I have a recipe. I call it Ramen Omelet.
Ingredients:
1-2 Pack of Instant Ramen (I use Indomie Ayam Bawang)
2 Eggs
1 Small Carrot, Diced
Neutral Cooking Oil or Butter for frying
How to:
- Boil the noodle per instruction
- Beat the egg and use the seasoning packet as the seasoning
- Put inside the diced carrot into the beaten, seasoned egg
- Put the noodles into cold water to stop the cooking and prevent the egg from curdling by carryover heat
- Mix evenly
- Prepare the pan and heat up a tablespoon or two of cooking oil or a big knob of butter
- Cook it like what you would to with an omelet
And voila. Ramen Omelet.
Theres maggi murtabak in Malaysia
If you made martabak, it need dumpling skin
Ever since I seen the mayo ramen I have not eaten them any other way! It's so filling! I to have always been a dry noodle eater but not anymore! The broth is so comfy! Yum!
The sauce that being made for Jin Ramyeon for the first recipe remind me about sweet soy sauce? In Indonesia we call it Kecap Manis. And btw the first recipe remind me alot about Indomie Goreng. Just with a pop of Boncabe and lil bit of Kecap Manis.
I did the first Ramen. I did not have brown sugar so I substituted with maple syrup. Very good!
you have the perfect upload schedule, your videos always drop when i’m having breakfast lol
The frozen "thumbnail" expressions had me rolling! Thanks for being so entertaining, Beryl. 😂
🤣🤣 You make me laugh. I love that your so relatable and sweet. Hope the eye is okay. I've been there done that. 😁
OMG I HAVE THIS TOMEI SHIRT IN RED💖 I got soo excited with the junji ito merch!
What's the brown sugar secret?
I really enjoy this hack and do it often with my ramen!
I like to get the “stir fry” cup noodle (not the sweet chili flavor) and add a splash of rice vinegar, ground ginger, garlic, pinch of sugar, pinch of salt. It’s really good. The rice vinegar is what really makes it I think.
Ramen, junji ito and a tardis..... it cant get better than this!
Beryl: *not using the flavor packets
Me: the DISRESPECT😠
Just joking xD
Btw I could relate when the ramen soup splash into her eyes. That happened to me so many times :')
I do a loco moco ramen hack. It's essentially a beef patty, with sauteed onions, garlic and mushrooms gravy drizzled all over the ramen and fried egg on top.
I would definitely recommend o’keefe’s lip repair cooling lip balm... it works great for cycling and running... also keep up the great work on these vids...
omg looking it up thank you
I love the Junji Ito shirts!
I tried this for lunch today. Love it!!
Your ending was awesome😄 (seriously hope your eye’s ok tho💗)
You seem like an adorable human being. You must have had good parents. Thanks for your vids and energy
I love you even more now that I know you love Junji Ito!
Dope 'zilla sweatshirt, Beryl.
Thanks for the sunshine!
Tip: instead of water, use unsweetened soy milk that you get at the Asian grocery store and whatever spice packets, scallions, egg and whatever else you want to zhuzh it up. It’ll give a nutty flavor and richness
This is the first time I’ve ever seen zhuzh spelled out. I immediately knew what word you were using.
May I ask what zhuzh is?
i really love your energy🥰
The mayo and egg one is my favorite way to eat Ramen right now, but with tons of chives!
Those bowls look fantastic. 🤗
I do ramen, half water, full sauce packet. Then different variations are:
Basil, lime juice, sesame oil, mung bean sprouts, jalapeños, sriracha
Peanut butter, frozen peas, garlic, toasted almonds, red pepper flakes
Ranch dressing, cheese cubes, scallions, Peruvian seasoning
Coconut milk, lime juice, edamame, sweet curry powder, cayenne
Sometimes I'll add tofu or an egg or another protein. Ramen combos are so fun.
The egg, Mayo and garlic hack is among my favorite food hacks of all time
Basically I just throw in any nice savoury stuff that can become part of the sauce + add some nice flavour and texture eg. cream cheese, milk, peanut butter, chunks of sausage, egg and if my mum has made some curry then I usually steal a couple of spoonfuls of sauce, veggies and meat/meat substitute to add to my ramen.
I would love to see more ramen episodes! How about a Neoguri versus Shin ramen? I’ve got a Neoguri ramen hack that is *chef’s Kiss*
other things you can add: milk or cream (and a bit of sugar, to taste) to make it rosé; peanut butter, sugar, fish sauce, and lime (or any acid) for that south east asian flavor
I love your shirt! I love your content!
Thanks for showing us the pickle pizza a few weeks ago :D
omg!! yessssss
I've been waiting for this. When the pandemic hit and my sisters and I missed going out for pho, I'd use the following ingredients for a quick imitation:
1 green onion
quail eggs/chicken eggs
1/2 bok choy
fish sauce
Maruchan shrimp flavor cup noodle
1. Boil water for cup noodle
2. Hard/softboil your eggs, however you prefer
3. Pour water into noodles
4. While noodles steep, finely chop veggies and add when done
