Ah... I forgot to tell you how lucky you were finding those keys... Unbelievable! I think that finally it's not even luck, I am pretty sure that is a matter of Good Vibes...
Very nice Marshal! We crossed up north and the Mexican border police definitely looked and stamped our passports and took our 6 month visa paper that we got way back in Tecate. Guatemala was easy enough to get into but for 3 days we had to find places to convert dollars before we finally reached a town with an ATM. If you ever do return and come in from the north, try and be as light as possible because the mountains and climbs are unreal! Thanks for sharing your adventure with us, Ron and Petra
Well the mountains and climbs were pretty unreal in the south too. Guatemala is definitely a place I would like to go back and visit especially the north since I missed that section
Hey Marshal, good to see you! Very nice video that you made and thanks a lot about the moral support! Marina has the same picture, which is on the "Wall of Fame" at the restaurant. She sends you a very warm hug, she was so happy when she watched the video, her eyes were shining like a little girl with her new toy! Then she asked me when are you coming back and she looked sad when I told her that for now you are bouncing like a ball from north to center, from center to north and from north to south again in the American Continent and there is not a precise date for your return here at the lake. But I know that Guatemala is a special place with a particular magnetic force and I won't be surprised at all if one day I will see you walking through our door... Wishing you the best I'm waiting for that day. A big big hug and see you soon, Alfredo.
Thank you Alfredo! Yes, I don't know when I will be returning but I can say that one day I will for sure be back on the lake and will stop by and say hello to you and Marina!
@@fatnomad it will be great! You know, this place has some kind of magnetic field... Look at me, I came here in 1979 for the first time then I left, but a few years later something drove me back here and since then I have been coming and living until the day that I took the decision to make of this place my home. And there are tens of stories like mine.. Well, I'm not saying that you will do the same thing, but I think that you will be called to come here at least one more time. Anyways, it will be great to see you again. Take good care of yourself and still pedaling happily through your life, hugs and love from Marina and I.
A "Key' adventure ... question (and sorry if i missed this...) but did you / do you know how to speak Spanish? Luckily, Google Translate now has Spanish as one of ten or so languages you can download to your phone (the entire language, so no internet needed). Went to Peru in 10-2023 and that saved me (and them). Tony, Carbondale, CO
Hello, you are really great buy, Congratulations for your videos very interesting for me ,i want to go to Guatemala starting from Mexico city to San José by bicycle. Can you give me address of Carl ,i would like to go find him . Sorry my english is limited. Thankyou so much
I love how your keys take short adventures of their own and then your karma enables you to meet up with them again!
Haha, well there's even more key adventures coming. Happy to report that I still have them!
