I always hated Lili with a passion ever since TK5 till now, but I have mad respect to anyone who picks up Lili does some really awesome fighting skills and combos with her. I have been tempted to try her but I love Asuka a lot more.
But watching videos like yours, even though this is just a season 2 video, makes me feel like I'm getting more important details that labbing just can't give me.

When i play online i feel like i’m the only one who plays Lili. I barely even see her anymore.
She still has the same issues as she did in S1 so that's why you don't see too many of them. Still risky, still really linear even with the slight buffs she recieved, still doesn't have a good df1, no safe launchers etc....

Sorry for posting this irrelevant question regarding a different topic, but could you please explain to me how Lars was considered to be top tier in T6 and TTT2? And why he's considered to be one of the weakest characters in T7? It's bloody confusing to me.
Biggest reason is that his df+2 went from being a safe, mid combo starter on CH to a non-jailing mid, high. This means opponents can duck the 2nd hit and launch it, making it much riskier. Since df+2 was basically the cornerstone of his gameplan, this is a massive blow. He also doesn't suit the Tekken 7 combo system particularly well, so his damage took a hit as well.
Being considerably less safe and damaging took him from being one of the best in T6/TTT2, to one of the worst in T7.
He was low tier in tag 2, but the system was different back then, it was combo oriented and Lars was arguably the best assist anyone could have. The biggest change in Tekken 7 was his loss of df2, a safe 15f mid ch launcher that went under jabs, without it Lars has bottom tier ch moves. In Tekken 6 basically all of Lars moveset was buffed, he had tracking on his weak side with db2, 1 his b2, 1 was safe and the second hit gave an easy combo on ch, b1 had more range, his Uf3 crushed a lot more and had bigger range, he had a normal hit mid launcher from dynamic entry, and his silent entry low knocked down on normal hit. Also due to the bound system, his combo damage was bigger too. And back then his ff1+2 was basically safe due to pushback, when in T7 Shaheen and Gigas can punish it easily.

Changing CH df2 to df2,1 was the deal breaker since it's like steve fox's b1 that you keep on spamming till it counterhits and since it's a mid it is safe launcher. He still have CH dynamic entry 2 but the move is slow the opponent can just block it.
Silent entry df1 doesn't spam the opponent on the ground anymore when used as a combo ender. This is a huge nerf since in tag2 if you end the combo in db2f to silent entry df1 the opponent will be spammed on the ground near you and when they try to roll back you can do a db2,1 basically doing a combo again since it will re-juggle the opponent AND YOU CAN BOUND W/ TAG ASSAULT.

@@kaje3435 It actually doesn't matter to me tbh. I've used lots of characters to improve my fundamentals. I've learned poking and pressure with drag, punishing with kazuya, learned all about evasion and crushes with Jin, now I gotta learn sidestepping with Lili

I honestly been whooping so much ass with lili I don’t even play tekken anymore
I love this video and support your content but as a Lili player I dont believe she has gone up to A. She still has the same issues she's had before( bad df1, tracking still an issue, no safe launcherse,) I also believe that f23 helped with her whiff punish game and was safer to use because of it only being -12 but now its far riskier because of it being a launch punishable move, qcf21 was better in s1 because it was risk free mid she could use from qcf but now its riskier to use and db3 has really poor range so its not really a good move to use in neutral too often. I overall believe she is still B+ maybe solid B now because so many characters got a lot stronger in the patch.
There's no reason to use f+2,3 outside of punishment though. Her qcf+3+4 being homing now is absolutely incredible, and something I wish I'd highlighted more in this video. It's still +6 on block, making it one of the best homing moves in the game.
@@ThatBlastedSalami No I enjoy using f23 being a 12 frame punisher but the issue is whiff punishing. Lili has a hard time whiff punishing and f23 was really good for that but now its more risky because its launch punishable now. So the chance that her punish might be off or may miss because of timing is now an issue. Also with qcf3+4 being homing is also great believe me lol. But the problem is that its not only a high but because of Lili's lack of tracking and range you can still step or backdash certain situations. Again I mean no disrespect at all to this video I watch every single vid that comes out from you but there's some things I don't agree with.
Does Lili really have a hard time whiff punishing? 3,1? f+4? f,f+3+4? d,d/f+2?

Qcf+3+4 of course has weaknesses, but a plus on block homing is still exceptionally rare and really helps Lili enact her gameplan.
I really appreciate the feedback, so no worries there. Can understand what you're saying, but overall I think she's gained enough to clearly be better than before. Do bear in mind that "A" is still in the bottom half of the cast, but that's more a reflection of just how strong and balanced the entire roster is.
@@MichaelSS 31 is ok but its slower than f23. Also f2 is safe on block while 3 by itself isnt so in case the opponent happens to block you'll be safe vs being in a shitty situation. F4 is a very good move but its also very linear as well. So if your fighting some one who is moving around a lot chances are that move will miss, ff3+4 is very, very linear and leaves her at -4 so her options are pretty limited afterwards because the recovery is trash. Ws2 is -12 on block and is very telling by her going into a ws motion. I'm not saying to not use those moves but make sure the risk is worth it because tbh in my opinion its really not in most situations.
