- Culture Secretary Lucy Frazer MP says the BBC is a "fantastic public institution", but there is "a perception of bias among audiences".
When pressed to provide evidence of bias or impartiality by Kay Burley, the minister cited an incorrect claim made about a hospital in Israel which the BBC had apologised for - and reiterated the "perception" of bias from some members of the public.

When reporting the news, GB News like all broadcasters has to comply with section 5 of the Ofcom Broadcasting Code.
Although they favor the Right, at least they have a balanced panel when discussing issues. Differing views and not groupthink.
Allow the interviewer to cuss out the interviewee and call them an idiot for not answering the question. Stop being polite.

Why is Sky News defending the BBC?
BBC and Sky lack impartiality. With Sky I chose to cancel my account. Sky do not provide a reasonable complaints procedure at all. BBC have a complaints process but choose to ignore it.

I gave up watching the BBC for news over 5 years ago. Lucy Fraser is absolutely right in what she says, despite harassment by this interviewer. True accountability of the BBC, that is funded by us the public, would be to allow us all to comment freely on all programs, as I am able to do here. It has been a number of years, since I last tried to register my views with the BBC and it involved an elaborate process of form filling, taking some 30 minutes. Not acceptable in this day and age.
I continue to see utter garbage spouted as fact by BBC programs, for example Fiona Bruce on the Antiques Road show. I have no doubt Fiona Bruce, who is an excellent presenter is given the words to read out as fact. If BBC fund payers, members of the public, were able to call these out it would help to make the BBC more honest and accountable.
With Freedom of speech comes responsibility, responsible to put out balanced stories as opposed to one sided accounts. Main stream media is largely unaccountable, that is why more and more of are turning away from it. The BBC is not what it once was, I am very sad to say. More power to Lucy Frazer and what she is trying to do.

If “the figures for accuracy are good,” as she says, then that can only mean the impartially complaints can only have come from the right wing she represents who have been convinced by the grievance peddlers they follow into believing facts, statistics and reality are, somehow, biased against them and therefore unfair.
