I know what you mean about audiobooks and good readers. One female reader that I really like is Cherry Jones. She did an amazing job with the Laura Ingalls Wilder stories. We listen to them over and over again.

And a great idea to start preparing an adventkalendar for next year from the Opal Abo. I just started the Opal Abo again, after a pause from more than a year. I missed these beautiful yarns too much.
When I start preparing the advent kalendar 2024 now, it will be ready december first 2024. And I can ad the information which trimester it was sent, also maybe ad a bibleverse that inspired me and maybe a tea-sachet with it..

What a great idea!!! A couple of years ago I bought a yarn advert calendar and it was so much fun I enjoyed it so much however it was very expensive and a one time purchase for me. But making my own and starting now I won’t remember the yarn, brilliant. I’ll have the fun but not the cost. By the way my dog says hello to your dog every morning. We watch your program every morning together and she barks hello when she sees Benny. Her name is Daisy. ❤ thank you for doing this. 18:00
I've been setting wrapping materials for a 10g Advent swap already. I am going to start with my Christmas yarns now and then follow through the seasons as the year goes filling the advent gift bags. It will be done naturally by November.
I've got one pair of socks left to finish before Christmas, and I'm keeping up with my stripe-a-day advent socks. I'm slow, so my goals are not lofty. 😊

I listen to many audiobooks and you’re right, the narrator can make it or break it. One of the series I have enjoyed is the No.1 Ladies Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith. I have the latest book (#24 From a Far and Lovely Country) going now. Most of the books are read by Lisette Lecat, who does an excellent job. There were 2 books read by different readers and everyone complained in the reviews. I can’t remember if both were like this, but at least for one of them the accent and expression seemed overly exaggerated. It seemed that the characters were different people and I missed the old ones. Then in the last 2 books Lisette Lecat is back. So, I don’t know what happened there, whether they had a falling out or she just couldn’t do those 2 books, but everybody begged for her to come back. After 20-something books, you get attached to the characters!
The Jordan Peterson impression was an unexpected treat, I laughed out loud!

Dear Anna! Yesterday I thought about preparing next years advent calender now. Including a pattern I´d like to make. But I am sure I will forget it completly (and where I stored it).

It’s not crazy to be thinking about next year’s Advent calendar…I started thinking about it a couple of days ago! I was also thinking that a memories blanket with blocks would be fun-each block would represent one Advent. I’ve thought about doing that for a couple of years but have yet to start one. Happy Thursday!

For audio books we would call the person reading the book the narrator. I'm not too particular about the narrators but I would say I prefer male voices to a women's narration. I don't like when the book is dramatized though, I think it's distracting when there is music and other noises added to the audio book.
It's not crazy at all to think of next year's yarn advent. My teen daughter does a puzzle advent for me every year. I usually buy the puzzle in Jan or Feb and she builds the puzzle and then breaks sections apart to put 15-20 pieces in my calendar for me to build every day. I can tell you I have totally forgotten what the picture is by December. They just started making these advent puzzles but I haven't loved the pictures. I love the artist Charlies Wysocki so I usually buy one of those puzzles to build through advent. She says it's a labor of love because she doesn't like to build 1000 piece puzzles, but it's a good trade because I make her advent calendar as well.
