Something Is Very Wrong with Season 17 of Something Was Wrong

- In a previous video, I named Something Was Wrong as one of my favorite ethical true crime podcasts. The most recent season centers a NICU nurse named Leslie who adopted a patient of hers. The season is extremely difficult to listen to as it details the death of a child while revolving around Leslie and her sister.
You are absolutely right! I listened to this pod for a long time and told multiple people about it. It's starts out as a wonderful platform for survivors to share their stories and it was incredible to hear these strong people overcome these situations..... however season 17.... This woman was NOT a victim! She was blind to the fact that her son was being abused and is just as responsible! I have since unfollowed this pod. Thank you so much for your video❤
You read my mind as I’m listening to episode 3. To me it was shocking how little the mother seems to be taking responsibility! Super strange
I’m glad i found this video because i knew i couldn’t be the only person that felt the mother was dead wrong and she should be charged. She ignored the fact that her child was being abused because she just wanted to be in a relationship. She knew about his history of child abuse and she’s a nurse so she knows the signs. This season pissed me off so bad
Honestly this made me want to jump ahead and listen but I have heard examples of the things you are talking about. You were so reasonable and so kind with this review ! ❤ thank you !
Season 17 has made me sick which led me to search if I was the only one who thought this lol. I don’t want to victim blame but this could’ve been 1000000% prevented by the child’s care takers. And is anyone else catching a little narcissist vibes from the sister?
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I agree that there is something seriously wrong with Season 17 Episode 3! Up until Season 16, I REALLY enjoyed this podcast. It's almost as if SWW posted the wrong, unedited version of the episode...or the whole season! I don't have enough information to know if Leslie is truly a victim in this story, but it certainly doesn't seem like it by the way it is presented. I was appalled when the episode jumped straight from Jace's HORRIBLE homicide to Leslie's new boyfriend at the hospital. Jace deserves so much more than this!
Me too. It disturbed me the way she so casually becomes all giddy when speaking about her new boyfriend
Erica, I couldn’t have said it better myself. S17 was my introduction to SWW and I instantly felt discomfort and disgust hearing how they were convincing themselves of being victims and glorifying their heroism. It’s sad to say, but he would have definitely been better off not getting adopted into the wrong hands of an evil woman- in fact, he would be alive. Thank you for expressing your words in this subject. Tiffany’s disclaimers are BS!! CREATORS CHOOSE WHO TO PLATFORM. I looked into it more and came across s14 w. jake, and would love to hear your thoughts on that one!
I used to listen to something was wrong. Then I stopped for some reason. I don’t remember why. I’m sure this video will get into it
its the mothers fault she should be in jail!! all the signs where there
I agree. I hate how she tried to paint herself as a victim.
Something that doesnt sit right with me is the fact shes reading from a script. Incredibly suspect. Amoung other things..
I noticed that too. She’s clearly reading from a script.
It’s absolutely insane
I’m on episode three. I haven’t gotten to the part with Jace’s death but I could see it coming. I googled this particular season because something felt so off with how the story was being told. This woman is reading off of a script and saying how her being a virgin is why she didn’t see the red flags. Then her sister on the other hand says that this man peed on her laptop and OH did something to her dog which caused him to have seizures, “lol”. Um. What do you mean? Why are you laughing this off? These women need to be investigated.
Never heard of this podcast. I tend to avoid true crime, since I saw how bad it can be. If I do feel like listening to some, I go for the historical stories where everyone is long dead.
Yeah. I do think to some degree it is important to spread awareness, especially when it comes to missing persons, but many podcasts take an exploitative approach.
@@EricaMones publicizing missing persons cases or cases where the suspect hasn’t been apprehended might positively contribute, but sadly I doubt those bring in the big views
How is this relevant to the situation?
Everybody in that child life failed him. EVERYBODY.
I haven’t come across ‘Something Was Wrong’ so I’m in the dark.
Despite your amended opinion, I might check it out, anyway.
I hope you’re well. You look great in those glasses 😊
Please do not subscribe or listen. Do not give her your support.
sounds like they’re being overall irresponsible with content that is pretty much as serious as a topic can get. I don’t know if they used to be more responsible with vetting people or what.
And the ED part makes me mad as a survivor. Literally don’t talk about numbers!!!!
Exactly! Even if a guest on the podcast uses numbers, it’s on the host and producers to edit it out.
@@EricaMones right? And it sounds like the whole ED segment was unrelated/unnecessary to the TRUE CRIME story 🤦
Seriously, if a loved one died I would not bring up MY eating disorder and medical history unless it was somehow directly related…
Many of the women seem complicit in either their own or others' abuse. . . but we either don't blame any of these victims or all of them. We may not act the same if in a similar situation....there have been many stories when I felt the victim created their own situation.
