Nice, never thought of using a hitch style like that. Now i can chop up the old rickety table currently holding my vise and open up some much needed space. Thanks!
It's so nice not having a big obstacle on your workspace.
@@AnthonyJ350 tell me about it, im building my twin turbo 350z in a small garage. my welding table is between my old motor and back of the car.
I like how and where you mount it. You just gave me a fantastic idea. Great job. But yah, no doubt, it's a MUST have tool to have.
So glad to hear you're able to make your workspace more efficient now! 🙂
Good video-thanks. Just straight info without wasting my time trying to entertain me. 🙂
Glad you liked the video!
Vise is necessary tool even in basic garage. Mine is continuously used for light work. Strongly recommend it from the basic novice to the skilled professional.
Definitely agree!
Thank you so much, this exactly what I've been looking for
Glad the video helped!
I really like the set up. My only thought is you may want to remove the corners of the base bracket so you clear the space below the jaws. This would allow for more versatility when working with longer stock or items.
That's a really good point, I'll keep it in mind while working this it. I'll make another video when I eventually to a bench grinder with this mount.
I am going to sink a trailer receiver tube in my bench to slide the vise into just like this setup only under the bench top.
Only need a vise when you need a vise.
One of the handiest tools in the shop.
Great idea!
Great idea, thank you! Question: How is the tube coming out of the hitch mounted to the bottom of the plate that the vise is secured to?
The tube and plate are welded together from the manufacturer.
👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Now that you’ve had it for a while. How’s it standing up? Any tweaks you’d make?
I put another plate on the other side and it holds my drill press and belt sander in the air now.
@@AnthonyJ350 so you no longer use it for a vice?
@@rugbyhook22 No I still do, I put another one in on the other side to mount bench tools. You can see pictures of it on my Instagram (AnthonyJ350)
👍👍👀
Thanks for watching!
